You've said this a few times over the years jaikaara.

It's really important to have realistic goals and keep some routine going on consistently.

DSG is right about the importance of food. Don't under estimate it. Can you not gradually decrease your intake? Reducing carbs gradually is the way to go in my opinion.

I just had about two months with little to no training, which is the longest I've never trained in years (7/8 years at least). I'm shocked at how my body has retained shape, although muscle mass and some tone has obviously decreased. I'm just getting back into training now (as of yesterday).

What have you tried training wise? Was it cardio focused, or weights? Did you enjoy any of it?

Look just commit to 30 minutes a day for two weeks and see where you get with that.

i know dear bro ..have been going through stress so am not able to focus. I will have to get up

Has any Guru ka pyara completed sva lakh jaaps of moolmantar here. Please,if anyone can help in advising and giving tips. I find myself alot emotionless while doing Jaap(very less in a day).

Why I don't feel any happiness in doing paath? I used to love reading gurbaani before but I find from quite 5-6 months I find no spark in doing my baanis. I have left even morning baanis.

    Please help me restore this.

these days i am experiencing the same

Thanks beere I really appreciate it! Now when you say pure kesar, do you mean non-commerically packaged kesar i.e. fresh? Also, if I was to grind kesar for storage I would grind it without water right? Cus when I did it last time it got mould on it after a few days.

Yes you dry grind..i personally feel don't get into grinding it all together and storing hassle.Rather just grind a few strands adding a drop of water..and you can grind it to a fine texture. It would be easier to apply and retain.

There wouldn't be non commercial kesar .. everything that's sold is commercial.

Does anyone know the procedure for making Kesar Tilak? I did try once but I didn't manage to grind it down fine enough I think...I also don't know what to mix it with...water or oil?

It's not something I want to experiment with as Kesar is bloody expensive lol so the exact viddhi would be greatly appreciated.

How much would I need to make a small amount? Should I try to dry it before grinding? What is the best way to grind it...pestle and mortar? Bearing in mind you would want to minimise loss. What else if anything do you mix into it...chandan etc? What is the best way to store it?

@jaikaara beere you're from India right...would you happen to know?

    @paapiman do you know bro?

    Thanks.

bro i know a friend who applied kesar tilak for a specific spiritual purpose. I consulted him yesterday and what he would do was just grind 1-2 strands adding a small drop of water regularly . He also suggested that you could get pure kesar and grind it all together using a mortal and pestle and store it . When ever you want to apply tilak just take a small quantity and add a small drop of water.

A friend of mine just met with Sant Jagjit Singh ji Harkhowalwale. He said it's okay to do paath of these kinds of Banis but don't do lots of repetitions without the appropriate viddhi. There is special viddhi for Brahm Kavach or Chandi di Var if your going to be doing tons of abhyaas of these. It's not for everyone. So speak to proper Mahapurkh before you start doing lots. These Banian are different than our regular nitnem Banis, the maryada for doing lots of abhyaas is much more sukt.

He mentioned, for example, that a singh came to him who had done chalisa of Chandi di Vaar without the appropriate viddhi. After about 20 days he came to see Baba ji b/c blood had started coming out of his stool, his nose, his mouth... There is a right way to go about doing these things so you should speak to a mahapurkh before beginning.

there is a video of one of the Singhs of Charhdikala jatha taking santhia from Giani Gurvinder Singh ji Nangli wherein the Singh mentions about his abhyas experience

Can a person with cut hair read brahm kavach and dasam granth bani?

if i were to go by what Giani Thakur Singh ji has repeatedly said in his Bachans, a hair cut person certainly can. I am not a kesdhaari however with the kirpa of Guru Sahib the Bani of Brahm Kawach is recited by a lowly person like me too.

Also the Brahm Kawach Bani says,  Ihh Kawach Brahma ko 32sa parrhe jo nitt Chhatri Rann Jeet leh Nirbheet rahe Ridh Sidh paave Atri,  Leh Bed Bhed jo yah padhe Bipra Baisya Dhan Sukh Sampata, Dhan Dhaam tan arog sundar paaye sukh akampta...

Which means Bipra or Baisya (Non Sikhs) can also read the Kawach.

Gurmukh Gyanis are not suppose to meet with women alone. They should meet them in Sangat. If the meeting has to be a closed door one, then the woman must be accompanied by her husband, brother, son, etc.

Srimaan Sant Baba Nand Singh jee Kaleranwale was very strict in this regards. Any Jatha member caught talking to a woman, other than his mother or sister, was expelled from the Jatha.

Any sort of physical contact (hugging, kissing, patting, shaking hands*, etc) with women must also be avoided. Sri Satguru jee (Tenth Master) would only touch women (other than his wives) with his arrow or siropa.

If Gyani Thakur Singh jee had strictly followed the above protocols, he would have never fallen into such a controversy.

    * - We have to shake hands, especially in western countries with women at workplaces. Handshaking is a normal professional way of greeting people in the west, so this case would be a bit exceptional for Sikhs of the west. Refusing a handshake might be perceived as rude/impolite by the other party.

    Bhul chuk maaf

Veere sangat forgets that the person is a kathakaar..they do sewa as if he is some great Guru..i somehow cannot do what they do ..if the kathakaar is aged at the most i will touch his feet.
