  1. I'm answering from memory, so I may be wrong.

1: kede gurusikh ne 6 gurua nu tilak laga ke guru gaddi te viraajman kitta.

    Baba Buddha Ji.

4: shri gurunanak dev ji dwara rachit kitne shabd,

shri granth sahib vich kitne raaga vich darj ne??

    19 raags.

5: shri gurugovind singh ji de jyoti jyot samaan de samaya khalse de guru hone da samman kis nu bakshya.

    Aad Granth Sahib nu.

6: shri guru granth sahib vich kitne baani-kaara diya baani darj hai?

    36.

  2. If that is so, then accept live debate offer?

What is wrong with truck driver, atleast they do Kirat, unlike 3rd primary fail Baba's who loot Sangat with fairy tales in form of Katha.

Years of study of limited number of books yeah. Suraj Prakash and few others, and many other anti Gurmat stuff such as Dasam Granth and Sarbloh Granth.

That guy of Neo-Sikhism is Kamalroop Singh Nihang, right? He couldn't answer some of my basic questions on DG by mail, what right does he have to speak then?

Chaj te bole bole, channi kyun bole? Oh vi 3600 chekk wali !

  3. You guys couldn't even answer my questions. If you guys are so knowledgeable, why do u have to run to mods for moderation and post deletion?

Sikh sangat won't even allow someone to post quotes from Dasam Granth. What kind of pro DG site is that? Sikhsangat bans a person for even asking for arths of a quote of DG... They are thugs

    ਕੈ ਜੜ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਨ ਕੀ ਆਸਾ ਤਜੁ। ਕੈ ਰੁਚਿ ਮਾਨਿ ਆਉ ਮੁਹਿ ਕੌ ਭਜੁ। ਕੈ ਤੁਹਿ ਕਾਟਿ ਕਰੈ ਸਤ ਖੰਡਾ। ਕੈ ਦੈ ਮੋਰਿ ਭਗ ਬਿਖੈ ਲੰਡਾ। ੧੧। ਰਾਜ ਕੁਅਰ ਅਤ ਹੀ ਤਬ ਡਰਾ। ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਤਿਹ ਤ੍ਰਿਅ ਸੰਗ ਕਰਾ। ਇਹ ਛਲ ਸੈ ਵਾ ਕੋ ਛਲਿ ਗਈ। ਰਾਇ ਬਿਰਾਗਿਯਹਿ ਭੋਗਤ ਭਈ। ੧੨। ਅੰਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਨ ਕੋ ਕਿਨੂੰ ਨ ਪਾਯੋ। ਬਿਧਨਾ ਸਿਰਜਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਪਛੁਤਾਯੋ। ਜਿਨ ਇਹ ਕਿਯੌ ਸਕਲ ਸੰਸਾਰੋ। ਵਹੈ ਪਛਾਨਿ ਭੇਦ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਹਾਰੋ। ੧੩। ੧। {ਚਰਿਤਰ ੩੧੨, ੫.੪ ੮੭}

Arths please. Does the Creator regrets after creating something?

  4. LOL , P.darshan followers(a$$ lickers) , anti DG brigade are some seriously disturbed people! :D:D:D

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! Nasty kid having nasty fantasies.

First it was mares in Chariter 68 of Dasam Granth, now humans. Very nasty indeed.

Admin Note: Please refrain from making bold statements. If you wish to debate charitars in details, please create another thread but this board will not tolerate bold statements made against sri dasam granth or its compositions.

  5. TheKhalsaFauj's Reply.

Your so called Sant samaj made own maryada in 1997 or something and said they reject Akaal Takht maryada. WHo made mockery then?

Your so called Sant samaj rejected Akaal Takht hukamnama saying no palallel parkash of DG saying we won't abide by Akaal Takht. Who made mockery then? Your Sant samaj rejected Nanakshahi calendar implemented in 2003, who made mockery then? Sant samaj is nothing but a joke. They are both types of jokes.

  6. He taught about Dasam Granth what he was taught by Gurbachan Singh Bhindranwala. The same Gurbachan Singh who says Guru Har Rai had 8 wives and that the Kachehra of Khalsa is same as that of Hanuman. Gurbachan Singh

    wasn't without mistakes.

This is not about his views on DG, on which I don't agree, but about Akhauti Jathedars, on which I do agree.

If we go by your logic, AKJ's and DDT's can't stand togheter on issue of Dasam Granth, because their views on Raagmala, Kes/Keski, etc differs.

Why are Nihangs and Taksalis united on the issue of Dasam Granth, when Nihangs love jhatka and weed but Taksal is anti Meat and anti weed?

    Hypocrisy, no?

Respect for Bhai Jarnail Singh Ji for standing up for the panth and defending Sikhi and Harmandar Sahib, but this doesn't mean I see them as an incarnation of Guru Gobind Singh or God as some do. He was, afteral, a Human, and was free to have his own opinions, thoughts or interpretations.

  7. so let me get this straight guptsingh you don’t believe in jaap Sahib or chaupai, tva prasaad?

question for you so what do you make of the amrit ceremony then? what is the nitnem of a sikh according to you?

Don't believe in anything besides my Guru, Guru Granth Sahib. Wheter its Jaap or Charitropakhyan, it is third party compositions and I don't recite them either.

Amrit Sanchaar: Panth shall decide when Sarbat Khalsa is called after majority of Panth has become Anti DG (many are becoming anti DG)

Daily Nitnem: All Banis in Guru Granth Sahib before the Sri Raag (1st raag). Japji Sahib in morning, Sodar and Sopurkh Sahib in evening and Sohila Sahib before sleeping. Besides that a Sikh can and should recite as much Bani as he can from the Guru Granth Sahib.

GUPTSINGH1699 - IS JUST ANOTHER DODGY GUY ON FORUMS SPREADING POISION ABOUT THE TEACHINGS OF SIKHISM....

YOU SAY YOU ARE A GUPTSINGH SINCE 1699 AND YET YOU ENTER INTO DIALOGUE ON A FORUM OPEN TO MILLIONS OF PEOPLE...YOU ARE FULL FOR CONTRADICTIONS

I never said I exist since 1699. Did you just consume 'hemp'?

  8. ITS NOT CANNABIS ITS HEMP........ WOULD HAVE THOUGHT YOU KNEW THE DIFFERENCE.

CANNABIS HAS TWO FORMS AND IS COMMONLY KNOWN AS GANJA .......HEMP IS COMPLETELY DIFFERERNT AND HAS ONLY 1 TO 3% THC(TETRA HYDRO CANNIBINOL)MOLECULES PRESENT.

AND YEH YOU WANT TWO'S ON MY BATA LOL

Well following Gurmat I don't consume that stuff... And neither do I deal that sort of stuff.. So, Mr. Expert, thanks for correcting about that.

  9. I didn't say I believe Tara Singh over Nihangs. He said that between the two he picked Nihangs. So going by his logics I said that. Waheguru gave you a gift - grey cells. Use them.

I don't believe every single thing that Pandit Tara said. He was pro Dasam Granth, I'm not. But there is no harm in taking good points of others, is there?

From my understanding and reading of Sarbloh Granth this is not entirely true. In Dasam Granth, if you look at some of the Rudhra Avatar sections, very similar type verses are used, i.e. Bisanpad etc.

Very similar chands are used as well.

*Dasam Granth is not by Tenth Guru either. Doesn't prove your point. Sikh Guru's used Nanak, not Shyam, Kaal, Ram, Gobind Das or whatever.

What about the famous passage that is read in the daily liturgy by all Sikhs, "Bahe gahe kee laaj aas Gobind Daas Tuhaar", which is in the daily Rehraas Sahib (after Chaupai Sahib). That line is from Ramavatar in Dasam Granth, and there are many other passages in Dasam Granth where the same terms are used.

    * Isn't written by Guru Gobind Singh.

What about the praise of the Khalsa in Dasam Granth? (i.e. the shabads, Judh kitey in hi prasaad). If Maharaj praised the Khalsa then why cannot he declare that Khalsa is also my Guru?

    * Are you talking about Khalsa Mehma? It is taken from Sarbloh Granth if I'm not mistaken. Not exactly written by Guru Ji.

This is something I have been looking into but I cannot seem to find where this mention of Rup Dip Bhasha Pingal comes up. The verse number is either incorrect or the claim is of no substance.

    * Are you sure that, the 1719 work isn't mentioned in whole of Sarbloh Granth?

Again look above at the quote from Dasam Granth which says, 'Daas Gobind'.

    * Dasam Granth and Sarbloh Granth both aren't written by Guru Gobind Singh.

This is a common argument used against Sri Dasam Granth. If one believes in Dasam Granth then this would not even be a question. The authenticity of Dasam Granth has been debated various times on this forum and can be researched elsewhere, I'll keep this thread focused on Sri Sarbloh Granth.

    * I don't believe in Dasam Granth. Last time we debate Dasam Granth, the moderators locked thread and haven't opened it yet, shows who was owning who.

  10. Gurdwara Kandh Sahib, Batala

Guru Nanak was married here to Bibi Sulakhani. He was engaged to the daughter of Mul Chand Chauna who along with the Brahmin priests insisted on a traditional Hindu marriage while Guru Nanak wanted a simple marriage.

Guru Nanak was sitting besides a crooked mud wall (kandh) discussing the marriage plans with the Brahmin clergy. It was planned to push the wall on top of the Guru but Guru Nanak was warned of the plan by an old woman. Guru Nanak just smiled and said "This wall will not fall for centuries. The will of God shall prevail." The wall is still preserved within the Gurdwara and a celebration is held here every year on the anniversary of Guru Nanak's marriage.

Anyone know outcome of the discussion of Guru Sahib with the Brahmin(s)? Any Puratan sources to confirm this?

  11. Dhan Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji marriage clearly rejects the vedic marriage and chose to circumbate

the letter Oankaar - just read the parsang from Suraj Prakash of GuruJis marriage and you find out that Guru Mahraaj didn't place importance on fire as the witness to the marriage (in Hindu Tradition)but infact placed God almighty as Shabad Swaroop. Therefore it isn't brahmanism and your question has been clearly concluded by no other than Guru Mahraaj themselves.

So im sure GuptSingh1699 is at peace with himself, now that you have had your questioned answered 100% correctly...........

The other thing that i wish to raise is that if any action tradition or ritual complies with gurmat laid out in SGGS then it is perfectly fine to follow that. So ask yourself does Parkarma of SGGS comply with Gurmat?? YES IT DOES THEN THAT NOT A PROBLEM OR WRONG IN ANYWAY.

Whenever Baba Mitt Singh Nihang Singh would meet Baba Dharam Singh Nihang Singh he would do his parkarma

and Baba Dharam singh would do the same.

Where in the Suraj Prakash does it state the above?

    Chatanga,

    Been busy man.

Which work of Giani Gian Singh and what exactly (during which Guru's time period) is that? Be more specific and careful about time period.

    Guptsingh1699,

While Rahetnamas are mostly unreliable, still they are all post 1699 period, by this time Guru Gobind Singh's 2 marriages have all been performed. Mata Sahib Deva's Anand was 1 year and a few days later. So it is possible that Guru Gobind Singh initiated a form of Anand (be it by reciting Anand after Ardas or any other ritual) AFTER his own marriages. This is what the evidence suggest anyhow. Thanks for sharing the facts.

Pal07. I was kind of shocked to read that and thought maybe the newer version of Suraj Parkash have been modified. Checked ik13.com's version and in Nanak Parkash it says the following about Guru Nanak's Anand:

Bed Ke Mantar Uchaar Tabai Shubh Reet Karee Jiv Bed Ne Gai.

I'm not sure which version you're reading from?

Will be good if facts shared are more specific and verified. Keep it going.

Good point. Rehatnamas are unreliable, but they do show that Vedic ceremony is not what Sikh used to do during marriages.

Anand Sahib was read at all ceremonies in life, wheter birth or death... And Anand from the 'Anand Karaj/Anand Viah' should mean something, right? Most likely Anand Sahib.

What do other puratan sources say about Guru's marriages?

  12. Thanks for your input Fateh Singh veer.

Mukatnama that is found in Sau Sakhi says in verse 25 that a Sikh shouldn't have relations without "Anand Viah". Mukatnama was uttered by Guru Gobind Singh after the creation of Khalsa.

The Daya Singh Rehatnama instructs one not to get married from the hands of a Brahmin. And a Especially in that time (and even now for that matter), Vedic marriage could only be done performed by a Brahmin, isn't it? So the Rehatnama is indirectly saying not to have Vedic marriage ceremony.

So Gyani Gyan Singh is wrong on that 'Bed Bidhi', isn't he?

  13. Puratan sources confirm the fact that Sukha Singh and his son were expert at imitating the handwriting of Guru Gobind Singh and earny money that way. Sukha Singh's son added 5 KHas Patras (which he himself wrote imitating Guru Ji's handwriting) etc.

I don't know, read Pandit Tara Singh on Sarbloh Granth. It is a fact that he said that. You want to know more about it, so research it.

  14. I am not from Sikh Philosophy. Banned from SikhSangat though haha.

Well why is phereh important? Isn't reading the Bani in front of SGGS enough?

Phereh seem to make an idol out of SGGS

We Matha Tek to Bani to show it respect, because Shabad Guru Surat Dhun Chela.

Simran, Kirtan and Seva are part of Gurmat, thus no Bahmanvaad.

I don't like this logic of saying yes Hindu breathe so we shouldn't breath.

Thing is about PHILOSOPHY, anything that contradicts Gurmat, wheter its from Hindus or NOT shouldn't be part of Sikhi.
