I some what agree with Neo could it be the weakness of "amritdharis" be that the panj pyareh giving amrit are weak? From my little understanding amrit sanchar should awaken the inner amrit? (correct me if im wrong) so if this is not happening then somethings got to be wrong?

the thing with live debates is that sometimes you may not have proof at hand or cant research or answer a point made on the spot. Thats were forums like these come in where you can research and then reply to a point.

As for it being on par with bani etc.. most normal sikhs will say nothing can be on par with Guru Granth Sahib.

I personaly have no problem with people thinknig equal parkash is okay and others that think it is wrong.

But far as i know Guru Gaddi was given to Guru Granth Sahib and not Dasam Granth. So if someone could maybe explain why it should be parkashed equal share more info on why when Guru Granth Sahib was given Guru Gaddi.

Now if Tapoban is debating you are always going to get the AKJ view point though i dont always agree with there views, at least they are trying to debate. They seem like the coolest Singhs out there in the west in my opinion who are dedicated in learning history and doing veechar.

Maybe its just me but there seems to be hardly any discussion or katha in gurdwareh about Sikh philsosophy or theology or any adhyatmic discussions. In todays age too me there seems emphasis on just taking amrit and wearing the 5ks. Now again maybe its just me but wherever you go its always "amrit shako jahajeh charo" being said. Which leads to people taking amrit but having no clue about anything. Which leads to some what of thugish behaviour by amritdharis to others who may question there beliefs or attacks on people with opposing views.

Also is initation really important? what is the difference between say an amritdhari living a Sikh lifestyle and a non amritdhari living a Sikh lifestyle? Isnt it the same other than maybe the outer appearance?

What i am trying to say i think is should amrit be given out so easily?
