What is a Jinn?

Excellent post NEO. I also find the desire is highest in the morning aroung 6 am. Please let us know how to controll this chakara. Meaning what are some goods tips when the desire is there to control?

Big Life events sometimes require guidance from the power above. In Sikhs case from Guru Granth Sahib Jee. I am in a situation in which I require some guidance. How can we ask Guru Jee whether to proceed with a certain task or not. I am just not sure, and would like to know whether it is wise to proceed or not.

I was thinking. Is it an acceptable practice to put the answers of my questions in a bowl in front of Guru Jee, Do ardaas, take Hukumnamaa and then which ever slip comes out to go with that?

How do some of you solve your dilema's in which you do not know which way to proceed?

This is that wacko Manjeet K.Gyani. She has some very extremist views along the lines of Jarnail S. Arshi Gyani. From there writings it seems they have a big ego, like most Singh Sabhia's. They need eveything in black and white. They cannot see a third color. They have Sikhi in a box, and cannot see outside the box. Such a shame I has such s hopes for these guys.

Well I feel the sangat of the books I have is great. The stories of Nanaksar, Taksal, Rara Sahib etc, etc there life stories. They have been a real source of inspiration in my life and have showed me the "tricks of the trades" i.e what devotion really is.

I also enjoy these open forums where you can express yourself confidentialy.

I really never feel at home when there is alote of people at the gurdwara, I like to go and do keertan when there is like two or three people only. I really enjoy most of all having been giving the opportunity to do the seva of Guru jee at home. I also consider that sangat and seva all at once.

I think we need to understand that when the saroops come to our homes, Guru jee is saying look sit down I am coming to you: do seva daily and this will change your avastha, I am doing you a favout by coming. What do you guys think???

Has anyone heard of Baba Gurdial Singh of Tandey?? He was in Montreal the last I heard. Has anyone heard of him, where he is from and which Mahapurshes he studied with. After Baba Mann Singh I find it hard to trust any Baba anymore!!!

Guru Granth Sahib = Sargun Saroop of God. Can we draw the conclusion that when Guru jee comes to our home, then he is coming to allow us the oppurtunity of doing seva of the Lord in order to clean our sins? I mean he would not go where he did not want to right ? So he is where is he is in order to give us the oppurtunity to do seva? I am right here here or have I missed the bandwagon???

When I was really young this BABAJEE came to our Gurdwara. I had no idea about Sants, not at all, I had no idea about how big the Harkhowal Dera was. But anyway,he was doing katha, me and my friend were sitting listening. My friend got up but I stayed and listened, although I did not understand much. Well after the katha he came up to both of us and asked my friend why he got up. He gave him no answer. He said to one guy standing there pointing to me "ahh munda teeka hai" i/e "this boy is ok". We were both amritdhari, my friend however about 7-8 years later cut his hair and became a patit!!! Very interesting. I wish I had known who he was at the time. So is he the baba that is on the gadii of Baba Jualla Singh ???

I know that AKJ and Taksal propogate Lareevaar Saroops, but what is Nanaksars/Rara Sahibs stand on this? Do they just not see a difference between Pad-chen and Lareevaar? Or do they actually do santhyaa from Lareevaar. Like at Rara Sahib and Nanaksar are there pad-ched saroops or Lareevaar? How do they bring there saroops from India over here?

I have been reading quite a bit on these two Samprada's, like Anand Chamatkaar and Ruhanee Sandesh, never really came across this topic.

Like the older Mahapurshes like Baba Isher Singh Rara and Nanaksar and Baba Nand Singh, did they ever say anything about this when SGPC started printing Pad-ched?

I am hoping to get some input from the actuall Sangees like NEO and Karamjeet, please only respond if you have knowlegde on the subject.

Just a quick question. Does Nanaksar not beleive in wearing a kirpan? What about during Baba Nand Singh or Baba Isher Singhs time, was it enforced? How about know, I notice the behangams only where them during Amrit Sanchaar but not after that? Why is that? If they do belive in it, what kind've maryada do they keep. like not allowed to take of during bath etc.

What about Rara Sahib. What maryada do they give during Amrit Sanchaar?

Are you from Nanaksar. Like is your family etc linked? If so let us in on some stories about Baba Nand Singh ans Baba Isher Singh. I just finished reading Anand Chamatkar. Wow I really learned alot from those books. Any personal stories about your time at nanaksar

If you are doing the 180 Malas of Moolmantar, do you have to use the 108 bead mala? Can you use a 25 bead mala? And then count up the amount you have to do. Does it matter the size of the mala?

Have any of you heard of Baba Narain Singh of Tapaa? He was in TO in a few months ago. Does anyone know his history of where he studies etc?? I heard that he stayed with Sant Attar Singh of Mustuana, but have not been able toi find any other info on him. He did keertan at like Scarborough, Brampton etc

Whatever happened to the show by Sukhminder Hansra called Ankhila Punjab that used to be on Vision TV? Does anyone know if it was banned for going on air?
