  1. How strict is the taksaal on lighting Jot of desi ghee? I know that Baba Gurbachan Singh Jee writes in gurbani paat darpan that it is mandatory durind an akhand paat. He also says that you should lite dhoof and jot during raihraas time aswell. Is this done in Malton Gurdwara and Taksal gurdwara. I fing that the taksalee singhs I have met so far say it is mostly brahman vaad. Please share your views. What I don't understand is if Baba jee wrote it in his book why is it not strictly followed in the taksaal??? What about aother sampradaa's like nihangs, Rara Sahib, Harkhowal etc, etc

    Please inform

  2. Do any of you watch the Gurbani TV program on Vision TV by Raghbir Smagagh?? What do you guys think of the show? The host is ancient and he talks alote of crap!!!! He says that the show is not his personal show but for the and by the sangat but he really does does push his views on the show. He really talks bad about Sants in every single show and is always crying for money to keep it the show going. What do you guys think of the show????

  3. Just a quick question. I know the raihraas from taksaal is considered "Sampooran", and I do read that paat. I had the opportunity to go to Baru Sahib a while back and they do an even longer raihraas. I also found out that Nanaksaar also does this Raihraas. So then which is sampooran then? Did the Taksal take some Dohraa's out? The reason I am asking is that I to start readong the even longer than Taksaal Raihraas,. but I am not sure if it is the Shudh and proper Raihraas. Could someone please advise me on this.

  4. It was obviously unintentionall. I didn't even realize it until I looked down and there where two kesh's. What do you mean for by "for purpose", whats with the desi english. Me and my dad wre playing and he went to strike my hand but his hand got caught in my dari and two kes came out.

  5. Theb question is:How do you serve your parents????? I think you are totally wrong on the Sant Baba biographies point. By reading those biographies you understand the importance of serving your parents. Those biographies and that sangat gives you the knowledge and guidance to do all these things you are talking about. Sikhi is not as small as you are making it to be. Just serve your parents and do kirt, come on buddy. Do you serve your parents? hAVE YOU READ ggs? Some people have only come to this world for bhagtee and as soon as they were old enough left home and did bhagti. Are they wrong? I don't think so. Everything happens in the command, each individual has his own command by God and he has to carry that out. People don't read biographies to please God, they read them to understand the path to God. If god told you just to do Kirt and serve parents, that means according to the logic of your post that only you should do that and everyone else should wait for there command from God. What you have written is basically your biography of what God has told you. It is no different from what is written about Sants.I agree 100% with your thoughts about parents though!!!!!!

  6. I know it can be a scary thing to know these things. Once an astrologer came to Baba Gurbachan Singh Bhindrawale. He read baba jee's hand and gave him some predictions. Baba jee laughed and said hold on a minute, he closed his eyes and did simran for a few minutes and then said read my hand again. The astrologer was amazed that all of his life lines (rekha's) had changed. Point being when you have an all powerfull Guru then you don't need to worry because the Guru can change your destiny in a second. The sangat of Guru Granth Sahib changes our destiny to the positive, we just don't have faith in our Guru. It is like we are living in "Real Time", what you ask for is granted. The Guru and his Sants have blessed childless with children, blind with vision, poor with riches. But you have to take the time out to spend with with Guru and he will bless you, it is a garantee. Astrology is a science but has limits it does nescesarily mean what they say can come true. Those that are Guru less are bound buy there Karams but those that have a Guru have the chance to break those bonds, provided they put the time in i.e Simran and Seva. There is nothing that cannot be accomplished by doing a Sukhmani Sahib or Japji sahib Paat or any bani for that matter. The saviour of this time is Guru Nanak i.e Guru Granth Sahib, the Bani Guru. It requires time though you have to put in time and then when Guru see's that yes this guy is putting in an effort then he sends his blessings. Just my thoughts, let me know your comments.

  7. A story I heard of while in India. This is from the 1970's so not to farr off. There was a fellow who had a stroke and his right side was paralyzed. A few days later he had another strike and his left side was paralyzed, his faith gave him the courage to move infront of a bullock cart of sangat going to harimandar sahib. They gladly picked him up and took him there. When they got they they informed the SGPC of the situation and they got a bed and a few sevadaars took him to the "Dukh Bhanjani Beri". They basically threw him in the sarovaar. He screamed with a very loud ache. Then one arm started to work, then the other etc , etc. That fellow became compltetly cured of his stroke, and his paralysis. For those of you who have seen stroke patients as I have, who are paralyzed and have lost speech you can better understand this miracle and how it effects a person anf there family. My point being is that for sure all sarovaars have these properties but you need to walk the steps of faith to get in the sarovar.

  8. Miss Khalsa,

So what you are saying is that if we do not have space for a "sukhasan palang" just a huge size manjee would be fine? Sorry I just need clarification before I actually go out and by all this stuff. Which Gurughars did you ask? Thanks for replying to the actuall question posted!!!
