  1. I have read two of his books: The Jesus Mysteries and Jesus and the lost Goddess. Both were very good reads.I will be getting round to reading Lucid Living once I finish two other books I'm reading.I'm also looking forward to The Laughing Jesus.

  2. Hari, your reference to the Goddess Cult of Mary (and the Lady Fatima) and with it references to other 'feminine principal' societies as put forth by certain new-age movements, historians and conspiracy theorists is valid, for similar 'ideals' that derive from the feminine principle exist throughout the world (i.e. Yoga, Art, Literature, Music, Knowledge, Martial Arts) and all concern the way of Chivalry, hence will clearly impact the Khalsa tradition too, which very much upholds values akin to Chivalry.

These are important to separate from 'devi pooja' as we commonly hear of it in India today (i.e. worship of some deity or idol).

As per the wider question, Guru Gobind Singh did not worship any Devi, anyone can clearly gauge this from his own writings such as Var Sri Durga Ki (Chandi di Var) in which Bhagautee and Chandi are clearly two separate entities which is apparent throughout.

I never refered to Goddess Cult of Mary.I refered to Sophia.Everyone should know that Var Durga Ki isn't about worship of Durga at all.It praises the mythilogical personality of Durga and her exploits.Durga is your Vivek Buddhi. And you know what Sumbh Nisumbh et al were about. No need for me to explain.

Why do "Sikh" men have a problem with the Divine Feminine but not Divine Masculine. They don't have a problem with masculine names like Hari, Narayan, Vasudev, Madusudan (names of Krishna, another "demi-god" ) but they have ants in their pants with names like Jagat Mata and Kaalika.

When will you people learn that there is only the One.

  3. You can't trust Panjabi's either matey.I have been back stabbed by Panjabi's in Panjab three times.Go and live in Panjab for a few months or longer.See how sweet Panjabi's will be to you.But they will then talk behind you back and steal from you and take your land.

People are people. When people covet, then they are worse than animals.Go see the institutionalised corruption in Panjab too.Nice.The naivety of some people.

Can't trust white people?Go and trust Panjabi's in Panjab then. Then you will be educated.

  4. Adharma = unrighteousness, irreligion, immorality, sin

So why is Satguru Gobind Singh saying that Vahiguru is Adharman?Well, all the steeks I have read on Jaap Sahib say it refers to Vahiguru being beyond Dharma, not subject to Dharma.Which is true, Vahiguru isn't subject to anything. So in my view Satguru is saying that Vahiguru is an amoral Entity when He says: "Namastan Adharman" (Bhujang Prayat Chhand, Jaap Sahib)

  5. Namastan Akarman.Namastan Adharman. (Bhujang Prayat Chhand, Jaap Sahib)

That's right Adharman.Go check. You know what adharma menas? That should get you thinking.

Ultimately Truth is above morality, immorality and amorality. But this is something that not all can understand. That is why you have so much syapa in this world. All is Hukam.

  6. 1. An average man has 85000 to 125000 hairs on his head. After some period, the growth of hair stops automatically. Protein is very essential for the perseverance of heath. When one cuts one's hair time

and again a lot of protein is used in the growth of new hair, hence it leads to loss of protein in body, which becomes a cause of several diseases.

I'm not a biologist but this is just bakwas pseudo science.Cutting hair does not make it grow any faster. It will look thicker because hair is thickest nearer to the base of a hair stem you get.A hair stem grows to it's alotted growth period and then simply drops out, and then a new hair will grow from it's root.Hair is an extension of our skin.It is made up of dead cells just like the surface of our skin.Hair and skin are continuously being shed. The body is always losing protein due it's overall continuous renewal.None of our bodies are the same bodies we had a year ago.Apart from brain cells and few other bits and bobs the body is renewed every year or so.

    2. Vitamin D is very useful for proper functioning of the nervous system, teeth and other bones in human body. Long hair are a source of Vitamin D. Longer the hair larger the amount of Vitamin D in human body. Ignorant people are bent upon destroying Vitamin D by cutting their hair. To compensate this loss they have to eat pills of Vitamin D, which further lead to several side effects and other problems.

The hair does not produce Vitamin D.It prodices nothing. It is a stem of dead cells.Only the root is living.Vitamin D is produced via the skin not hair.

    3. Hair help in protecting one from extreme heat as well as cold. Hair is a good conductor of the system of body temperature. A man with hair and turban has the benefit of balance of one's body temperature, whereas one who cuts his hair has to cover his head with one or another headgear. In spite of this he cannot get natural benefits of hair and turban.

Since when is a turban natural? There must be millions of people on this planet who have a body temperature problem because they don't have long hair and turbans.

    4. Cutting hair leads to loss of several precious elements from one's body e.g. zinc, chromium, lead, selenium, etc. These elements are necessary for immunization of one' body from diseases. Men and

women who have long hair have usually better health. Long hair is especially beneficial to the women who are in family way or those who breast-feed their children. The above-mentioned elements are necessary for such women and by cutting their hair they suffer a lot.

Bakwas again. The natural ongoing process of the body's growth causes loss of elements not the cutting of hair.Men and women who have long hair usually have better health? That's why you get so many Sardars with heart disease and diabetes then....

    5. The psychologists believe that hair create the feeling of noble-ness in a human being which prevents him/her from committing sins and crimes.

That's why you get so many Goths and grebo's with long hair.Yes, they really look "noble".

    6. Cutting hair leads to tooth decay. People with long hair have better teeth.

This is a joke right? This is getting ridiculous.

    7. Hair is also helpful in longevity of life span.

Yep, that's why you get so many Panjabi's with heart disease and diabetes dieing before they're 50 of heart attacks and kidney failure.

    8. Scientists have proved that moustaches help human body form diseases of breath. The moustaches

play the role of a filter.

This just might be true...Moustache filter!!

    9. Psychologists like Freud, Angles, KarlGustav etc., have presented a thesis that every woman likes to look like a man and every man desires to exhibit himself like a woman. It is this tendency, which leads a man to cut his beard and moustache. Those who wish to exhibit their masculine qualities do not cut their hair.

Freud nu mar goli.He was obsessed with sex and incest anyway.Who wants to listen to him?

I think this a pathetic attempt at trying to justify why warrior Singh Khalsa has to keep their hair.Maybe it's because it's Mahakal Saroop?

  7. This is a Shabad by Satguru Arjun Devan Dev in praise of Vishnu-Krishna Bhagvan (Sargun Vahiguru):

    http://www.sikhitothemax.com/page.asp?ShabadID=3794

You will see names of Krishna Bhagvan like: Madhusudan (Killer of Madhu demon), Damodar, Rikhikesh, Govardhan Dhari (lifter of Gavardhan mountain), Murali-Manohar (Manohar the player of the flute), Mohan, Madhav, Murari (the flute player), Narsingh (man-lion Avatar), Narayan (the abode of man), Bavan (Avatar of Vishnu), Ram Chand, Chakrapani (wielder of the Sudarshan Chakra), Gopi-nath (Master of the Gopi's), Basudev, Niranjan and loads more.

You will love this Shabad, especially if you are a Vishnu-Krishna hater.

    Dhan Dhan Shri Krishna Maharaj!

    Dhan Dhan Satguru Arjun Maharaj!

  8. Dream persona's are also different "births".Day dream persona's too.

There was once a king who was visited by a magician. The magician performed a trick. He waved a colourful feather infront of the kings face. The king became hypnotised by this feather and fell into a different state of existence. In that state he experienced a member of the royal court offer him a horse. He got on the horse and rode away to a far off land.In that land he came across a low caste (chandal) woman who was carrying food and water. The king was very hungry and asked the woman for some food. She refused to give him food because he was a king and she was a low caste chandal. The king pleaded for some food. She said:

"Okay, I will give you food only if you marry me."

The king agreed. He had to marry her and live within the chandal society.Soon he too became a chandal. He lived as they did, ate what they ate.He had children. One day there came a great famine to that land and the once king's children pleaded for meat to eat.But he could find no meat for his children.Eventually due to great attachment to his children he decided that he would jump into a fire so his children could eat his flesh. His children eagerly agreed.

They built the fire and he jumped in.He was in great agony. His body was shaking and having fits of agony.Suddenly he came to, back at his royal court. It was all a dream.None of it was real.

This is a story I read in the Yoga Vasishta.I have typed it above in a very cut down version. The thing is that the king experienced a whole life time in just a few minutes.

And there I'll have to love you and leave you....

  9. The atma refers to "self" "soul" "breath".

There is Atma which is the One Self.It is undivided, there is no Atma and another and another et cetera. This is the advait origin of us.It is said to be us.We are supposed to be that Atma. Most important of all: It is not subject to change and flux.

Then there is the atma.Little atma let's say. This little atma is a little brat.It thinks that it is the Paramatma. It changes, is subject to flux.Time has it in it's snare.Time always has it by the short and curlies, and it is not mindfull of this fact. And most ridiculous of all: This little atma thinks that it is immortal!

There is a Shabad from Gurbani, I think by Shri Ravi Das Ji, which goes something like: "When I am, You are not. When I am not, You are".Something like that.Apologies for not knowing the Shabad properly.
