  1. I wonder if Mejindarpal Kaur knows how to use and look after her "Sikh Kirpan".I wonder if she actually does wear a Kirpan or just a pathetic piece of metal not even fit to chop onions.

    Also why does a Kirpan have to be exclusively a "Sikh" weapon.It's like as if the Kirpan never existed before these "Sikhs" came along.Oh well, Durga Rani has always had a Kirpan.And She knows how to use it.

  2. Er might sound stupid but its early and so Il post it anyway. Why are you a Sikh? Is it because ur born into a Sikh family and you think God has chosen for you? Or is it because you've read SOME Gurbani and known it was the absolute truth? Or because you've read ALL of it and its been proven to you? OR have you not read anything and just feel its the truth because you cant explain, or worse you're just going with the flow?

    If I should mind my own business ignore the post and carry on reading my other intelligent posts by doing a search under my name, yeeehaaa..(new mating call, where's beasty's farm?)

    Answer:

    Bani Guru Guru hai bani, vich bani Amrit sare.

    Guru bani kahai, sevak jan manai, partakh Guru nistare.

    I am a Nanakpanthi, a Shish of Satguru Nanak Nirankar, because I have been given His Amrit.Not just a "Sikh".There are many Sikh of many Guru.But Gur-Satguru are very few and very fortunate to find.

    I have been given Amrit, not Khanda Amrit.Khanda Amrit is for those who are ready to die.

    I wonder how many Khanda Amritdhari's are ready to die?Quiet, dont answer.Answer to your atma....

  3. Maybe you are stuck in maryada Maya jaal?Never make promises that you know you can't keep.We live in busy modern times.Somethings are just plain irrelevant nowadays (maybe more in another thread :| ).

    A lot Nanakpanthi's out there are stuck in maryada Maya jaal these days.Why don't people see that the reality of their life is that it is Vahiguru.There life and daily living should be there Nitnem.Nanak Dharma Gurbani is Gyan, uttam Gyan.

    Why do you want reward?Isn't living reward enough?Enjoy life in the Name of Vahiguru.

  4. Okay so He may have used Hari Om or Hare Ram.Hari and Ram are after all the most used names of Vahiguru in Gurbani, something which can't be denied.

    And Om/Aum isn't just interpreted as Trimurti, it also is interpreted as the three states of being:

    A = waking state

    U = dreaming state

    M = sleeping/unconscious state

    And the dot above the letter "m" is the anusvara, which is a heavy nasal sound.The anusvara (Gurmukhi: tippee or bindi) represents the Turiya state, beyond the Traigun.Mandukya Upanishad is an authority on Om which has been known as Mul Mantra before Satguru Nanak manifested.Om and Omkar (Oankar) are synonymous.

    8. That same Self, from the point of view of the syllable, is Om, and viewed from the stand point of the letters, the quarters are the letters, and the letters are the quarters. The letters are a, u and m.

    9. Vaisvanara seated in the waking state is the first letter a, owing to its all-pervasiveness or being the first. He who knows thus verily accomplishes all longings and becomes the first.

    10. Taijasa seated in the dream is u, the second letter (of Om), owing to the similarity of excellence or intermediate position. He who knows thus verily advances the bounds of his knowledge and becomes equal (to all) and none who is not a knower of Brahman is born in his family.

    11. Prajna seated in the state of deep sleep is m, the third letter (of Om), because of his being the measure or the entity wherein all become absorbed. He who knows thus measures all this and absorbs all.

    12. That which is without letters (parts) is the Fourth, beyond apprehension through ordinary means, the cessation of the phenomenal world, the auspicious and the non-dual. Thus Om is certainly the Self. He who knows thus enters the Self by the Self.

    Maitrayaniya Upanishad is also good for understanding Om:

    http://www.geocities.com/advaitavedant/maitrayani.htm

    Don't be scared by Om/Aum.........................................................

    It is your Atma.

  5. Regarding Ramgarhia's.It is also known that Ramgarhia artisans (especially tarkhans) did do Puja of their tools.Much like Nihang Singhs do Puja of weapons.I cannot say for sure if worship of tools still goes on.But I know that it did go on, maybe not in all Ramgarhia households.

    The Vishvakarman Puja still goes on.Ramgarhia's consider Vishvakarman as their Great Elder Ancestor (Vadda Vadera).

  6. Ek Omkar does not equal God.

    Ek Omkar is greater than God.

    Ek Omkar>God

    You do know Karmjeet that the Omkar name existed before Satguru Nanak became manifest on this plane?You know that right?

    Om is That Which Is, and Omkar is the manifestation of That Om.By your thinking then Karmjeet, Sikhiya of Satguru Nanak is Hindu-puna.By your thinking.

    Hari Om.Jai Shri Om....

  7. Sunn = empty, void, hollow, barren, desolate, deserted.

    Sometimes Panjabi people will say that "Ehu ghar sunna piya" (That house is empty, meaning no children/fun, ronak etc.).

    You can read up in Gurbani about That Void (Sunn) in Siddha Gosti, the conversation between Satguru Nanak and the Mahasiddha's.

  8. In Faridkoti Tika of Gyani Badan Singh Nirmala and in JapJi Sahib Steek by Pandit Gyani Narain Singh it is stated that soch refers to cleansing/bathing.I have both Faridkoti Tika and Pandit Gyani Narain Singh's Nitnem Steek, and have just looked to make sure.

    It is also stated in Guru Granth Darpan of Prof. Sahib Singh that the above Pauri alludes to bathing.But I do not recommend Prof. Sahib Singh for Gurbani viakhya.

  9. Avtars are manifest (ie, "pargat"). The Gurus were BORN, hence their material bodies would suffer the ravages of time, and would perish.

    The soul is eternal - it survives.

    The Gurus themselves have stated that something that is BORN must DIE - but according to Karmjeet, the Gurus were hipocrites and never died.

    The views represented by Karmjeet are typical of some factions of Sikhism that wish to turn it into another semetic religion with their revisionist attitude.

    The 10 Nanak Satguru's were never born.The Satguru is always there, just like the air we breathe.The Satguru comes to reveal It's Self according to Divine Hukam.The body (anna-maya kosh) is not the Primal Satguru.The body is matter, and matter as you know subject to flux.The Satguru is not subject to Time and therefore flux.

    Yes ten human beings were born and did die, who lived extrordinary lives.But the Satguru (Adi-Guru) who reveals It's Self and Sikhiya is never born.Is anything ever born?Seems to me matter does not give birth or bestow death, rather it is just subject to flux.Matter spits forth forms, which consciousness may or may not "occupy".

    Satguru/Guru is never born.

  10. I would say that Anhad Nad is the sound of energy.I don't think it is the essence of the Mystery, but the essence of matter perhaps.I'm not much of a physicist, but isn't gross matter, sort of compacted radiation?The Anhad Nad is supposed to be experienced along with the inner luminosity phenomenon.That is what the scriptures have said.

    I don't know the difference between the inner light and energy.Maybe the light excites the energy?Maybe the light causes the energy to dance?Maybe the light is the first "born" Son (Atman) of the Father (Mystery), and the Son's seed causes the Daughter (Maya) to dance, to give birth?

    Maybe the experience of "hearing" the Anhad Nad and "seeing" the Jyot is what is known as Shiv-Shakti?Oh, I don't know tSingh Ji.These things are to be experienced.In the end I am talking about something I know nothing about.

  11. There is Aquinas' 5 justifications back from the 13th century include the 'unmoved mover', that trace back energy to it's original source, there must by definition be an initial cause, this is based on Aristotle's idea of the same about the movement of the universe.

    That initial cause, the origin of all energy is here and now.It is there within and without.From where your being comes from, it is now.You don't necassarily have to trace energy back through a timeline.The "void" from where energy comes from is now.

    Shri Mahayogi Patanjali says that Nirvikalp Samadhi is like being fully conscious in deep sleep.The deeper we go down into our existence, past the body's cells, molecules, atoms, past energy, there is silence.I believe when an aspirant yogin gets to the energy stage they experience the Anhad Naad.I believe the Anhad Naad is the vibration/music of this "dancing" energy.And we can "hear" or rather experience this sound vibration, once we withdraw into ourselves.Maybe the Anhad Naad is the original state of Maya/matter, I can't say for sure.

    There are supposedly several levels to the Anhad Nad, depending on which scripture you read.
