Please do ardas for the spiritual peace of these souls.

    bhul chuk maaf karnaa jee,

  2. just a quick note befoer my main message... the one person who was wearing a seatbelt was bhai sahib bhai parminder singh ji. he suffered one of the very serious injuries, with severe brain damage. i personally don't think that seatbelt or not played a role in this. Gurji jus wanted his purest souls back, bass.

    ok, for the main information:

i was a but misinformed about the details of bhanji's passing.

at the hospital, she had continued to bleed, and in her bed, she was still bleeding, and it didn't stop. they had considered chaning her bed or her sheets, but the owrry that her heart would stop in the process overrode that thought.

When she was brought in, like any other gursikh, her heart was incredibly strong, the doctors said. They said that her heart was still going on its own, and that life support would be needed, but there was hope as long as her heart was still going as strong as it was.

As she continued to bleed, her heart kept on in its attempt to provide the blood she had lost back to her body. This resulted in her heart slowly getting weaker, and weaker.

Bhanji was taken off life support once it was determined that the machines were doing the heartbeat for her, NOT before that fact.

The information i recieved about bhanji being able to breathe on her own, off life support, was not correct information, and i'm almost 100% positive that this most recent information that i'm providing you with IS in fact accurate, as i got it from people who were with rena bhanji till her last seconds.

i know the method of her passing is .... kind of irrelevant... but for those who were very affected and seek any sort of path to closure, i hope this helped.

    gurufateh

  3. i'm not sure why the threads keep getting locked....

veeraan/bhainaan... it's a sad day, we have lost 3 gursikhs now..

Rena Kaur Bhanji has passed away. She was 17 years of age, and an excellent keertani, gatka artist and gursikh.

From the information i've gathered, She had been taken off life support sometime around about 10:00 PST. She maintained breathing and pulse rates for a while, and i definitely had regained hope.

However, at roughly 11:00 PST AM, Sadday piyaree piyaaree, mithhi mithhi Rena Kaur passed away as a large large number of sangat was waiting outside, doing japji sahib. Upon hearing the news, they did ardaas for her soul. Our piyaaree bhanji has left her physical form.

As is stated in the other thread, there are several several akhand paath bhogs going on in vancouver, and all around the continent and world.

For those in North America, please consult

www.samagams.org, and take alook at the samagam list. if you live in any of these cities, please do call one of the sevadaars, and ask them if there are any plans for akhand paath, sukhmani sahib paath, or just sangat/keertan.

Feel free to also contact anyone at akj.org or any other panthic website for information.

The Panth has lost 3 beautiful gems, that Guruji has taken back to store in his treasure chest, as someone mentioned so eloquently.

Dhan Dhan Sachay Patshah Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaaaaj.

Dhan Dhan Sachay Patshah Shri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji

Dhan Dhan Sachay Patshah Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

    BOLLAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY SONIHAAAAAAAAAL!

    SAT SRI AKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!

  4. hanji veerji.. jjj, you jus said, don't make your story the same as Baba Nand Singh SAhib's story... but... isn't that what you are doing as well? choosing not to learn, or not emphasizing the learning of our language to aid in our quest... youre gonna go the baba nand singh route, even though you said we shouldn't cuz we're not them

  5. Baba Nand Singh Sahib never read the SGGS, my guess is that he was also illeterate but he knew the entire SGGS by heart without reading from it.

Another Gursikh I know, can automatically tell the hukamnama issued from Golden Temple and can also tell which shabad is being played simply by his surtee.

understood... but Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawalle read SGGS...

    Baba Harnaam Singh read SGGS

i may be wrong, but i think it states in Baba Harnaam Singh's biography that when he started getting saathiya and learning punjabi better and better, he got alot further with baani..

99% of us are not gonna be brahmgiyaanis... letès face it.. so youère saying that itès useless in making ANY sort of conclusion with baani?? If only brahmgiyaani's can interpret baani, that's like saying Sikhi's hard.... Sikhi's easy man.. it's so easy... we complain but it's so easy.. do you really think guruji made a religion that was difficult for his people????

  6. llalleshvari, are you afraid to goto hell !

Guru Gobind Singh Jee is GOD HIMSELF and I believe that !

Guru Nanak Dev ji is also God, Nirankar Himself and Khalsa is right on that and I know my Guru Nanak ! I dont have to read some ancient texts on sikhi written by historians to know my Guru.

Guru Nanak is Nirankar. God is everywhere and everything is God. This my heart says and I believe it.

In Sikhi there are no "Two". There is only "One'. God and Guru is SAME !

k, i'm god too then!, you can be too.. despite the fact that Guru Gobind Singh Ji instructed us to never parrallel him with God, or we'd be destining ourself to hell.... chaloo.. guru hukam.. jo manday, manday... jo nei manday... shukar hai

  7. Whats the big deal about learning Punjabi ? I too wanted to learn once upon a time and did learn ... but is it going to be of any spiritual benefit ?

I dont think so ! Coz whats gonna matter is God's Grace and there are so many uneducated ppl out there, who dont know punjabi or anything and yet they are still one with God.

It is not a matter of punjabi, learning punjabi isnt the goal and is not going to mould your heart.

If you have true love for God, then u will know the entire SGGS without even reading it or learning punjabi. It is a matter of God's Grace.

In USA and Canada I see so many ppl spending so much effort trying to be Gursikh by learning Tabla, Harmonium , Punjabi... but thats not the goal. On the otherside of the world there are ppl who dont know any of these things and yet are in peace and one with God.

A Halwai (Sweet maker) makes only sweets but is not amused by the taste of the sweets. Similarly a raagi sings kirtan but is not amused by the sweetnes of the Kirtan. Only the listenner is able to enjoy the kirtan.

Didn't you say in the topic where Summet Kaur thanks Khalsa for posting hukamanama every day to not make our own translations, that we should know the language and gain the spirituality to really understand it ourself? that kinda contradicts what you said here

  8. 1812: WE KICCCKCKKED YO A$$ hahaha

"there was 1 page in my hihstory book.. shows how important canada is"

and then you totally contradicted yourself in the last post you made. "nor are US Publishers going to bother publishing Canada's history in full length" So you admit that now it's not a matter of importance, but a matter of the US publishers....

you're a wierd one, mr. burns... (rupy)

  9. Rupy, all that shows is the amount that U.S is full of itself.. clearly they don't talk about canada.. y'all are still ashamed of the war of 1812....or do you conveniently not know about htat...? it's a good thing you have some english grammar skill.. cuz wow.. your history knowledge is shielded and limited:P

  10. to revive an old dead convo.. i'm realllllllly interested in investing in this stuff.. despite what alotta people have said, i used to take this stuff JUST before i would go for a run, and it felt alot different than without taking it.. i found myself alot more energized throughout my run, and was able to had a few more minutes too

  11. heheh tejvir kaur, alotta it is actually jus joking around haha.. i'm super sarcastic, so i rarely get mad.. when i do, you reallllyl know it...

but watch out for Rupy.. poor girls' got such insecurity probllems.. you saw that post.. she's just so nervous all the time.. worried about what people think of her and all.. that's why she fronts such a "rough and tough" image...

  12. tejvir kaur you touched on something that may be unique.... alot of us take hukam for granted (and this isn't in any way intended to come off as offensive, that's not my intention at ALL, so if it does, pleaase forgive me)... but you're making the point about how many teenagers, girls especially are under the pressure from society... this is most definitely not support for cutting hair at ALLLLLLL, but that's a very interesting point.. and i know the answer from a large majority is just going to be "if you've got guru, you don't need society" and to an extent you're right... but acceptance in society is veryy important.. we are told, as hukam, to essentially be good members of society... acceptance in society may be a prerequisite for this... again, this is really blowing it out of proportion, cuz there are many who do keep full kesh rehit and are still very accepted and contributive to society.. but tejvir made a good point about the fact that teenaged girls may not be thinking "Guru" as much as we think... and that's natural.... societal pressures impact EVERYONE.. no Singh can tell me they didn't feel hurt in kindergarten when they got teased everyday about "That Ball On Your Head"..... it's a good point.. nsomething to discuss forsure
