  1. The use of drugs including hallucinagens is a bajjar kurhait. so yes it would affect naam kamai. Also, there is a limit in how much these things can help a person spiritually. If you have not taken Amrit, you may gain some benefit through their use with a qualified guide, but within our dharm it is forbidden. To violate the rules for discipline in a dharm is very serious.

  2. would you really want to get married into such an adharmic family in the first place? There are plenty of girls interested in Gursikh guys, but in turn the guys need to be interested in getting themselves as Singhni and not just any punjabi girl. It helps if your family is more networked b/c I think finding such a match is much easier in the real world than online.

  3. one of the greatest sants I have ever had the good fortune of seeing:

    Baba Mohinder Partap Singh ji
    Guru Nanak Ashram
    Ashram
Address: Rasulpur Saidan, Patiala, Punjab 147003, India
    Phone: +91 175 235 2363

If you go, send my namaskar too ji. You don't need my name, they will know as they are all-knowing.

when you get back, keep in mind sometimes sants come to visit gurdwaras in the west in main ciities. if you give us an idea of where you are we might be able to notify you of some visits.

do ardass in front of Maharaj before you go

  4. headaches can also be caused by using the mind too intensely. eating healthy foods that support brain function such as omega 3 fatty acids is very helpful (eg. flaxseed oil) and other healthy fats such as almonds, ghee etc. massaging almond oil or mustard oil into the scalp is also very helpful. best spots are top of head, top back of head, and temples to massage in oil everyday. as you increase your bhagti you may need to increase the amount of oil you massage in.

  5. we did not evolve from apes.

also, not too long ago, scientists found a humanoid skeleton that was so old they concluded that humans cannot have evolved from apes, but instead evolved from other humanoid ancestors. you won't hear much about this b/c many scientists promoting evolution are nastiks and use it to attack christianity. they hold numerous aspects of it that re meant to be theoretical as if they are fact. not a very scientific approach.

one of the common kundalini symptoms is fatigue. When ever I read gurbani and throughout the day I feel tired but then sometimes i have these moments when I feel like jumping and running. I can't read much additional gurbanis because fatigue takes over. How can i overcome this fatigue? Also when I do meditation I get headaches. I also get pain in my back and neck. I read it means I have energy blockages, how can I help my body to clear these blockages fast? it's getting a bit annoying and I feel bad because i am not doing as much additional banis as before. ?☹

Bani relaxes us so much it's very easy to fall asleep.

Are you sure the pains are not from postural issues?

As for clearing blockages just continuing with gurmantr jaap, mool mantr, and bani will clear them over time.

  7. for the most part Guruji didn't focus much  on science facts in Bani b/c Guru ji focused on how we should live, and how to realise God. it's not a textbook and is very different from teh Bible and other dharmic granths. There are other Sikh granths that focused on more worldly topics such governance for a kingdom, and I know that in their lives the Gurus did teach environmental stewardship and such things. I have heard Guru ji did say that the world was round, but I do not know if this is an idea merely orally passed down, or if it is written somewhere.

  8. for both men and women kesh is the kakaar, not keski. However, right from the beginning there was hukam to keep the head covered for both genders. This is passed down orally from that time to now, and is seen in all different lineages of teachers that came from that time. It is also written in various rahitnamas written by contemporaries of Guruji

You have been blessed and Guru ji is waking you up to the Truth. Be grateful and keep up on this path. Remember, our motivation goes up and down in life, taking the shelter of the sadh sangat is very important.

As for your worldly peers, they will not take the things they gain in this world to the next world. You will take your seva and simran with you to the next world, unless you finish the game in this world! It still is important to work and support ourselves though. Otherwise if someone else has to support us they take seva from us. I know it's probably the least attractive thing, but that's also part of this game. If I was in your shoes I would  try to do my kirt kamai (job) while trying to increase my simran as time goes on. Giving dasvand also helps on this path.

  10. Gurbani has everything, including mantars for health. I've met a practitioner who has such mantars, he is a natural dr, similar to a chiropracter. The rule with this particular mantar was that it only worked if he did not charge for it. he could accept donations, but not charge for his medical help.

these all are in Bani as well. They come as a byproduct of kamai or you could specifically seek out different  mantars or powers etc.

  11. the general rule of thumb is that if you are not putting the presure or focus there yourself, if the pressure is increasing all by itself, then it's safe to ignore it and to keep japping.

i've been through periods during which i felt immense pressures there as well and it went away after some (long) time. the best thing to do is find a sant to help guide you. in the meantime, keep on with your spiritual practice, sounds like there is nothing to worry about.
