out of all the crap posted on this site, my comments get censored?

the op is clearly a fake!  how dumb are you people

the general rule of this forum is that you must register to post on controversial topics. some mods still allow guest posts through but i guess it's possible some mod choose to actually enforce the rule. register and you'll find this forum one of the most tolerant for free speech.

All of that stuff has been said on this forum. Every single thing you are saying has been discussed on, argued on and it gotten to the point where no party was listening to each other but just getting on with the argument.

You are 13.. Only 13 living in America ( a place where so much freedom is given that option is on you how you gonna and wanna use that freedom ). Even if you are given no freedom you can still get it. I don't know if your words are exactly your words or are being influenced by reading posts on this forum. Let's talk about being a housewife like your mom. I have not met a single Indian family who does not want their kids to excel in academic area and land a perfect job. Most of the mundey either getting on with drugs or driving trucks so parents always have high hopes from their daughters. Being happy and unhappy is such a weird phenomena, you can have everything and you can still be unhappy or you can be a penniless but can be the happiest person ever . However, let's agree that your family will force you to be a housewife then you always have the option to make it clear that you wanna have a career and work. Your husband will help you to have a career. This thing you should not be worrying and thinking about at the age of 13 to be honest .

I won't talk about why harimandar sahib Ji is not allowing women do Seva since I will never question why women are given the right to give birth and men not. And so many other rituals and rules which goes above our head but are there. Things like laws where you slap a man and people laugh with you but if you slap a woman they will be ready to kill. There are advantages and disadvantages of being a man and woman . This issue has been discussed and there are many other places which allows women to do all Seva and instead of fighting with the people who are non supportive, let's go to them who are supportive. We can waste our whole life fighting about who is given more priveledge and if we do the math, we will realize we women are not that victim as much we are calling ourself . You are pretty young, don't and I mean don't get influenced with things you read or hear.

Why vaheguroo loves men more than women ?

And how exactly we have gotten to this conclusion? Oh based on the perception that society thinks men can have more freedom and able to do Seva at gurughar and women can't so god loves men more than women. Then think about all those people at this moment crying for food, God must have hated them so much that they are born like this. People suffering from diseases, dying every single day are the most hatred people by God?

you are only 13 and your thinking is Making me sad since all the stuff you said is exactly the words of other member and please don't go on that route. This women rights thing will get you so crazy that you will forget the real meaning of life.

Everybody regardless of their gender go through phases where they feel their life is worthless no matter how much money, status they have. It's human nature, only people who do meditation and do good deeds feel good about their lives .  Very few are those who can stay happy. Don't think your life is doomed since you are assuming all these things. Good and bad days both will come until you will learn there is no difference between them and it will take quite a time to get there unfortunately but it's all worth it lol

I don't know where I am going with this but you gotta change your thinking and instead of looking all the stuff you saying. Look into the things you can do. Start with baby steps, look for the things you can do but your bro ether can't? Parents have their different ways to show love. I used to complain that my brother would get new clothes and I used to wear his used one. But my brother was more spoiled one and I was the easy one to listen so I was helping mom dad financially by wearing my brothers used school uniform lol. That time I never got it and now I know I helped them. I did get new clothes but those were girly ones. Even my friends used to get their older sisters used clothes so gender has nothing to do with it. Some parents love girls more than boys and it's pretty common and it has nothing to do with gender . I have never seen men complaining, they actually feel happy. My brother appreciate now when mom treating me really nice and he joins her and I kinda get extra attention . The point is everybody have their own way of showing love.

Don't feel bad about being a woman, anybody who calls you unclean and dirty has to clean itself first. You are the only one who can judge where you stand, what other says will be useless since their opinion are their perceptions not your reality . I have never felt bad about being a woman, always felt blessed. Being a woman is a huge blessing, without women this world will stop so why think bad about oneself . Gurbani never put women down and 10th Master never hated women. I think you are referring to CK series, you are only 13. Start with what is good rather than what you assume is not good. Start with cultivating love first and see how it changes you . YouTube Hans wilheim, I am too lazy to upload but worth listening .

    Great post.

When I go to the Gurdwara I focus on the relationship between Maharaj and me. I don't worry about the mistakes or wrongs that other people are doing, that is between Maharaj and them. Obviously we are talking within reason here, not saying to ignore very serious things.

If you have the desire and path to become a brahmgyani then you will become one. It takes hard-work in the beginning but once you reach a certain point then it is smooth sailing and anand. How many people in this world have the desire? 1 in a million? How many of those with the desire have the correct path? 1 in ?

maybe.... depends a lot on your karam which is why it is not open to everyone. few are able to completely surrender to achieve it.

  4. true nature of human being is the soul. As this is the true nature of someone, whether male or female, then either can realize enlightenment to such a degree that they can become a bhramgyani b/c that is their real nature. This realization comes about through numerous janams of paying off debt and eventually realizing the Grace of Guru ji.... or through complete and total surrender (also a kind of grace). Complete surrender can theoretically happen to anyone.

Yeh in that case put your foot down and if things do go abit pear shaped just pm me and there's small practical things that will help control/harness the shakti.. these are things suggested to me by baba joginder singh (raqba) ..saying that it may just be a case of karm accelerating..

Could you please share these practical things to do?

  6. http://khojee.blogspot.ca/2008/05/truth-about-canadian-singh-sabha-and.html

They used to have a video on youtube openly calling puratan sants like Sant Isher Singh ji,  Baba Nand Singh ji etc, dehdari pakhandi gurus. They openly said that, tried to point out various ''flaws'' etc. I think they've taken it down. Now their youtube channel seems to focus on tackling the damdami taksal, probably b/c DDT did a lot of Gurmat prachar and were popular post-84.

  7. singh sabha canada is a group that tries to use the good name of the singh sabha movement to spread their missionary prachar. It's basically hardcore anti-gurmat prachar.

Most gurdwaras (probably almost all) you find bearing the name Singh Sabha have no relation with them.

  8. Just wanted to add the Gurbani line of one soul in two bodies is frequently used in regards to marriage. This actually refers to the union of the soul of the spiritual seeker with Waheguru and NOT between the husband and wife. The lavan in fact describe different stages in the evolution of the soul as it nears God. Each lavan is a metaphor for the life of the seeker, doing parkarma around Guru ji who is the seeker's center, moving closer to union with each parkarma.  The spouse you have in this janam might be a brother or friend or enemy or stranger in another janam. In Sikh dharm the only soulmate is God. So beware of being lead astray by silly romantic notions of 'the one' or 'soulmate'. It's a game of karma and the way to overcome is through dharma.

No veer Jee, I have not. But my aim for first sehaj Paath is to do it and learn the meanings. Since Naam simran should be important I think.

And To be honest I don't know which pronunciation is right. So many peopledo it with different style. For instance, the link you provided is new to me. I have never heard anyone pronouncing everything like the way it's written.

I would say Hadoor and most of the YouTube bani people say it too but here it's hadoorey.

    Vaparwah is vaparwahu.

To me Maskeen ji is someone I can close my eyes and trust and even Maskeen ji did not do Paath the way it's done under the link so I'm more confused lol

Thank you for the link though, appreciate it.

Ji, the paath in the link you mentioned is done extra extra slow for students to be able to understand the subtle pronounciation sounds. When doing paath normally you would not enunciate those sounds so much. Ordinarily they are very subtle and untrained paathi's do not pick up on them.

Here is link to a site where you can see Gurbani, english, transliteration, and have the recording. You can change settings from preferences up top https://www.searchgurbani.com/guru_granth_sahib/ang_by_ang

  11. My suggestion would be to go to a Gurdwara (Sikh temple) to get closer to God and not to socialize, although there is nothing wrong with some socialising here and there. There will be people there who are at all different points on their journey to God, and rather than looking at them and feeling disheartened I prefer to focus on the kirtan (spiritual music) and katha (discourses) etc. That way, even if people there happen to be lackadaisical in their attitudes, you can still gain benefit. Where do you happen to live?

  12. If you want to know who is funding ISIS then simply look at which states are gaining by the actions of ISIS? Notice it never attacks Israel or Saudi Arabia but instead attacks their enemies for dominance in the region? Notice that all the countries attacked are the SAME countries that a US general had said would be destroyed a few years ago?

“We’re going to take out 7 countries in 5 years: Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan & Iran..”

To gain a better understanding of international politics I recommend following a news aggregator website like www.rense.com that includes many non-western sources. Also, Putin's speeches and comments are frequently eye-opening.

  13. When I was younger I was very serious about making progress quickly and read a lot from yogis and various other sources. Looking back, I do think all this reading caused more distress to the mind and didn’t help much. Best advice, from experience is:

    • Food is super important
      • reduce the amount of garam (in the ayurvedic sense) foods. Don’t completely avoid it, some is good, but just reduce it.
      • tarka, onion, and garlic increase kaam a lot
      • salty or sugary foods and fried foods and tea and coffee also increase kaam
      • eating from the hands of a kaami person, which means almost everyone worldly makes kaam worse
      •      ⁃    a soothing diet involves lots of raw and cooked fruits and veggies. especially raw foods don’t aggravate kaaam
    • besides what goes into your mouth be careful of what goes into your eyes and ears to feed your brain. TV is quite dangerous.
    • Your sangats energy affects you as well.
    • Do lots of sangat with naam Bani
    • WORK OUT. use up all your excess energy each day. this can’t be overstated how important this is.
    • Keep your mind busy. Focus a lot on school or work

In the end, if you are at that age you will experience some kaam. It’s normal and it’s better to just accept it in stride. Very few people can do the 13 or so hours of simran a day needed to rise above it. The intensity of it will decrease as you age and as your avastha increases.

Nightfall will decrease slowly over time if you are healthy (if not see an ayurvedic or homeopathic doctor for help). Since you used to masturbate your body is used to a certain amount of activity and so is generating fluids appropriate to that. Over time, the amount generated will naturally level off and the frequency of nightfall will decrease as well.

  14. I'm not sure where your Punjabi level is so I'll post some more resources

    • Balupdesh, teaches Gurmukhi. You can listen to the recording and read from the pothi at the same time, match your voice to the recording. In this way you will be able to read fluently really really quickly (I've done this) http://gursevak.com/downloads They are looking for sevadars to help with English translations so the resources on site will hopefully be even more updated in the future.
    • Giani Thakur Singh ji's katha is purposefully done in simple Punjabi. You can listen and ask a Punjabi speaker about words you don't understand.
    • On sikhsangat.com the poster PJS has posted lots of English translations of katha from Baba Isher Singh ji. You can listen to those kathas and then compare your understanding with the english translation (which is usually paraphrased and not word for word translation).

I've used these methods to help myself and bit by bit improved my knowledge of not only Punjabi, but Gurmat as well. For me it was a way to learn without being bored.
