  1. cheers bro, but she just cleared the spelling mistake I was making, instead of pabhaa, I was using papa. Thanks for the links!:D. The reason why its so special to me is because as I said earlier, the events that took place on that day! Thanks! Now all I have to do now is to get that recording which is a bigger mission. Back in those days, there was no md recordings, so have to rely on getting camcorder tapes and convert them, really long process, but its all worth it. Thanks again. its marvellous.

I am trying to find a shabad, but can't cause I forgot some words and they are not enough to search on sikhitothemax.

I the only words I remember are, " chamkan taare" & " din rehain saverr"

    I am sorry , I am thick :( .

But I heard this shabad like 3 years ago and it was something special. The stars were out and the sky was clear, then it started to snow. it was just amazing, and I think the meaning of the shabad was similar to the events, so that is why it was soooooooooooo special.

If you know, please help me!

  3. Fateh ji,

Singh ji, Its good that you are going towards the goal :D, respect to you!

"charan saran gur eaek paiddaa jaae chal

sath gur kott paiddaa aagae hoe laeth hai ||" This Shabad is by Bhai Gurdaas Ji in Vaars Bhai Gurdaas on Pannaa 37.

Sorry they dont have the english translation there, but I think it means , If you take one step towards your Guru, Guru ji takes thousands of steps towards you.

Its a start and hopefully one day you will have the blessings of guru ji and take amrit. But, the only thing I can suggest to you is that you should take it when you really really really really really want to take it, and not just cause everyone else is taking it.

4)i wouldnt be in the habit of wearing all five ks..and wouldnt, ideally, want to go a day without them ?

Take the 5 kakkars as uniform. When you start school for the first time, you have you wear a uniform. It feels odd cause its your first time, and might even feel uncomfortable. But as time progresses, you get used to it, and it becomes part of you.

It is all about love for guru ji, When you really love guru ji from the bottom of your heart, all the above weaknesses will vanish.

Just start to do the sangat of the Holy, sadh sangat. You will be amazed to see how your life will start to change.:D ( for all the points mentioned)

In the Company of the Holy, one's face becomes radiant.

  4. Fateh ji,

If the story is true,he aint a sikh. Loads of things come to my mind on how to punish the dude, but also one thing that has stuck in my mind for good but not very easy to do." Bure dha bhala karo" No matter what happens, do good onto those who do bad things to you. What ever happened is really bad, but its like a blessing in disguise. Its good that it happened before the marriage and not after. This I learnt from going to one of the sikhi week talks, tell her , " Even this will pass!". She need not to worry, everything is going to be alright. Hope it doesn't happen again to anyone.

  5. Fateh ji,

no probs singh ji. The only reason I didnt zip the file up is because I dont have permission to freely distribute the audio file cause I did not record it. On the other hand , Cheema uncle's talk I did record, although didnt have a good quality mic, so quality not that good, but can hear what he is saying. I thought it would be easier for all those dial-up-users and could listen to it online, other wise it would take a really long time to download that file.

If you want, I can upload a zipped file and give you the link to it.

    Fateh ji.

  6. Fateh ji,

Personally I dont think there is anything wrong with tying any style of pugh. As Mug said, A darmala is more secure than the so called " samosa".

Just like by dressing like a sadhu dont make you a sadhu, similarly I dont think by tying a certain style of pugh will get you salvation.

These are just my personal views and I may be wrong. If I am wrong, then I am definitely going to my doom, Oh guru ji please help me!

  7. One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door

to door to pay his way through school, found he had

only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He

decided he would ask for a meal at the next house.

However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman

opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a

drink of water. She thought he looked hungry so

brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly,

and then asked, "How much do I owe you?" "You don't

owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us

never to accept pay for a kindness." He

said....."Then I thank you from my heart."

As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt

stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was

strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.

Years later that young woman became critically ill.

The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her

to the big city, where they called in specialists to

study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called

in for the consultation. When he heard the name of

the town she came from, a strange light filled his

eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of

the hospital to her room. Dressed in his doctor's gown

he went in to see her. He recognized her at once. He

went back to the consultation room determined to do

his best to save her life. From that day he gave

special attention to the case. After a long struggle,

the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business

office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He

looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and

the bill was sent to her room.

She feared to open it, for she was sure it would

take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally

she looked, and something caught her attention on the

side of the bill. She read these words..... "Paid in

full with one glass of milk" (Signed) Dr. Howard

Kelly. Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy

heart prayed: "Thank You, God, that Your love has

spread abroad through human hearts and hands."

Now you have two choices. You can send this page on

and spread a positive message. or ignore it and

pretend it never touched your heart. Think, Believe,

    Dream, and Dare

Are you talking about the female mahapursh in Bham? She is known as "bibi ji" as far as I know and haven't really had the need to know her name. She has done alot of sewa in India and has also got an award from the Queen for voluntary service. They do kirtan at Bebe Nanki Gurdwara in Bham and hold satsangs at their house.

That is all I know, so if anyone else has something to add, please do so.

Baba Santpartap Singh ji of Karamsar Gurdwara in Ilford has discussed this Sakhi in the Darbar many times. He was a child when this incident occured and was present at RaraSahib. Suleman remained within the Gurdwara complex for sometime before he was reborn as a Sikh. Babaji and many other Sikh who were sevadars at RaraSahib actively spoke to Suleman during that period.

Suleman was reborn as a Sikh in the late 60s to GurSikh parents who were sevadars at RaraSahib.

You have totally confused me now! :? The reason I say this is that as far as I know, the recording was done in England, so where did this talk about rara sahib come in? The person who did the recording was the brother in law of an uncle I know and he had come over from Kenya. This tape is 100% real . There are actually 5 voices in the recording: Suleman, two males, one female and the kid(can hear him crying).

The content is really scary and it had me trembling the first time I heard it, mind you I was only 11-13. But I have to say, he has got an excellent voice. When he sings in raag, its absolutely beautiful( singing praises of Guru Nanak Dev ji). His emphasis is on " sadh sangat" and how it is very important for spiritual growth.

If you want to listen to the tape, make sure you listening with someone who has good knowledge in old urdu.

  10. Fateh ji,

This has happened to not one but many sikh girls out there and all regreting it now. I have heard that at times it is not the charming boy trying to convert, but a sikh lady that has converted. This had been happening near my area, but dont know if it still happens. Just a word of advice for all those sikh girls are under the false charme and love,

" Even fools can learn from their own mistakes, but the wise learn from others mistakes."

All you have to decide is whether you want to be a fool or a wise person.

Hope havent said anything out of line here, for that I do apologise.

    Fateh Ji.

  11. my question can really b answered by sum1 of ne faith or religion but i was jst wondering on ur views....

    Fateh ji,

I haven't got much knowledge but I will tell you what I have been taught and believe. Without Waheguru, we simply would not exist. Every single breath is given to us by Waheguru.

That was really brief but hope that answers your question.
