  1. Wow, that is one deep thought....but it makes a lot of sense in that, if the takhts are all buildings, then the foundation for sikhism would become very mechanical (which is what is actually happening if u look at the avg sikh)... Ppl in control will twist words and bani to manipulate the people, hence the original meaning of sikh and khalsa is mainly lost upon the younger generations... And one should realize that our Guru Ji was an extremely smart and he had obvious foresight.... If the 5th Takht is a moving one with people involved, it would keep the spirit of sikhism, of khalsa alive... as well they would be much closer to Guru Ji himself, if he's the one to have bestowed such an honor on them.... Mate, Ur incredible smart, and I love reading ur posts....
  2. My pyari Bhenji... I completely understand u..... but to me, it's more important what I get out of the music, the ras, the energy, then what the singer maybe doin in his own personal life... I think it's just a matter of perspective and for one to just focus on the music or the kirtan or whatever... This world is hyporcritical, but we can't be bogged down by it.... Our religion teaches us to rise above it all...if they're doin sumtin wrong in God's eyes, like I said, He's watching...and in due time, it could come back... SO bhenji, jus chill, and listen to ur dharmik geets and kirtan, don't worry about it...
  3. Neo Ji...I've neva heard of this Sant Ji... is there something that he's done that's special....has he ever come to Canada????
  4. I think that no matter who the person they should be allowed to sing dharmik geets or kirtan....it shouldn't matter whether they r muslim, hindu or non amritdhari... It's a form of expression for the love of God....if they're doin it for money, God knows that too and is constantly watchin everyone's intentions.... It's not for us to judge, that's God's area.... If u like it and if u can sing along with ur mann to it, mate u'll be far along in the realm of the Lord.... It's about u not about the actions of others.....
  5. Fine fine...I thought u all were wikked wit ur punjabi , but me guess not....here's the Angrezi versiou  I'm 19 yrs. old, born and raised in Canada, the most beautiful country in the whole entired world... I"m goin into my 2nd yr of uni in sept.... I love dancing (not the slutty type which was insinuated on another post...) mates...I perform on stage, anyways reading, listening to music ( i din't mention above, whoops )...I love doin my simrin whenever i get a chance too.... I love the company of my naneys/ nanis (mom's massi and mammay..)...and any other senior citizen with whom i can practice up my punjabi and learn about the way things were in punjab.... I love the company of Sants, Mahapursh and any other person that's enlightened by the grace of God, be the person a sikh or a hindu whatever, to me the msg of God is important...been particularly blessed in this area... Yea so that's all, anythin else u'd like to ask, let me know...
  6. Lol....been on for two weeks and I haven't intro'd myself yet... WJKK, WJKK Ji, main 19 sal di han, Canada di jampal (born and raised in case u din't know)....Ji main duji sal uni vich jana es sept. vich.... Merey shok hagaya...nachna, pardna, simrin karna...movies dekhna...internet tey kuthay pakaiye karna (thas what my mom says at least....)....and Bazurgan nal gal karna (I miss my Nani ji here very much!!!)...Santa athey Mahapursh athey jo koi Rab dey nal pahunchey hun nal bathaina bahut chunga lagda ey.... If u need any other info,...pm me...ciao all 8)
  7. One thing me has a question about.... I don't drink, smoke or do anythin stupid like that, but one thing i absolutely love is dancin... I mean it's like it's in my blood or somethin.... If one becomes amritdhari, do they have to give up dancing.... jus wondering :?
  8. Sangat is extremely important.... however it is only useful if the children are taught to sit and do simrin and kirtan..... I know a family where the adults are all into sangat and the kids come, but they just play around and watch tv....the children are out of control (one even got caught cheating on his provincial final exams....)... Sangat is good a thing, as long as the focus is bringing ur children into sikhi...otherwise if u lose out on them....the future isn't tooo great
  9. Anyways...first to R K Bhainjee.... sorry about the incident before....din't mean for it to happen..... Next... what's the rush in marriage.... When God thinks it's time for u to get married, the circumstances will arise that no matter what, u r going to meet ur jeevan saathi.... so chill out and relax, focus on something else like work or school...
  10. I agree with Kaur @ Guru's feet.... Although hair is very sacred...our health is just as sacred... I mean why else would God come up with these cures and surgeries through the doctors unless they were meant to be used for good...remember, that all we do is God's will, we are just His puppets, therefore all of the scientific advances made are through His grace.... If one is told that they have a tumour (God forbid this happen to anyone...) or need some life saving surgery, then they should go for it and try to fight the illness ....after all, are we not supposed to be soormay.... one should have the courage to fight and try all they might, at the end it's up to Him when it is our time...
  11. Anyways....chill down buddy...where's the namrata around here.... we're all fakes here trying to become as pure as possible for God...no need to get all defensive here...
  12. No she wasn't amritdhari....but she never cut her hair, din't eat meat... did her paath day in day out.... If any person can go through half of what she went through in her life time, and kept the type of faith in God that she had, they tooo would have reached God.... I seriously almost lost hope in God after she was gone, cuz she din't have a sukh bhaari life...she had to see a lot of things that I wouldn't want my enemies to even see... But oh well...it's all about His marzi and so I guess she suceeded in showing Him that she loved Him with all her heart....and I know she's in a lot better place than she was here on Earth.....
  13. Mate...chill down...those chicks rn't even worth ur time then...don't worry...God's got a plan for everyone...and like I said, ur prolly gonna get urself a soni/snukhi kurri that'll be wit u forever....the longer u wait, the better she'll be....God's testin u and u have to pass.... (patience is a virtue they say...)
  14. Lol...very well if u seem so keen...pm me give me ur stats....mainly want to know ur education bkg...I'm big on that...I'll see what can happen..
  15. Lol...wouldn't mind a Singh from the Uk, only that he'd have to move to Canada...unfortunately I love my country way toooo much...
  16. Wow, ur very very very smart.... My Nani Ji was very spirtual and very much into Sewa... but I think the thing that got her up there was that she went through sooooooooooooooo much suffering (and I ain't lying about this, what would I gain from it...) but seriously a lot of pain and suffering, both physical and mental, but she accepted it and moved on, and turned herself over to God and tried to make the best of it....she never let us kids feel like she wasn't there for us...She was amazing....no doubt about it....
  17. It's funny cuz I don't see any Singhs around where I am...(there r a couple, but they're going out with some chicks....)...but hey...I know that somewhere out there, my Singh Ji is waiting for me...and the better they are, the longer one must wait...
  18. I agree with u that my family has been completely blessed...There are just too many experiences we've had throughout our generations with Sants and Mahapurush.... I wanted to ask someone this question...about 6 yrs back when my Nani Ji passed on...at her Funeral when the Jap Ji sahib was being recited I had a vision... I saw mountains, lots of ppl dressed in white sitting...one Baba Ji at the Front, in complete meditation....and I saw my Nani Ji go up and matha tekh and then sit in the sangat...what do u think that all means???
  19. Oh also, it's the Klairan vale Sant (either Baba Nand Ji or Baba Ishar Singh) somthing like that but 100% sure about the Klair part
  20. You're just a very lucky person cuz u have the extra edge over the other ppl when it comes to God...that blessing counts for so much....
  21. Could someone help explain the 24 incarnations....I can read it, but it doesn't make too much sense to me...(i'd ask my dad but i'm at work and won't be home until late....)
  22. Ummm...well anyways.... What happened was that my mom's family had all gone out to look at a my mom's massi's future husband... Only my nani ji and her sister were home and another uncle... My mom basically died on the spot...she stopped breathing and her heart stopped...and she was a couple of months old. So everyone that was home panicked at went to the Sant... There he took her and then told my nani ji that the other child had died, but he brought the future daughter (the one my nani would have had otherwise) and put her into this body and he then named her Nirmal... And so my mommy is technically not the same soul as the the body first had, but hey it's my mommy nonetheless.... and other interesting stuff has happened with my nanake....anytime someone was sick he'd always say something like "je oh cha vich dhood mangde a, ta phir oh ta gayi...par je oh kalli cha mangde a ta phir oh ithey hi rangey...." so a lot of them ended up drinking the kalli cha...which is crazy rite...but he was definitely someone special....
