The Sikh culture and the Panjabi culture are two separate entities that are always mixed into one, by people who do not know any better.

Shame. Makes my blood boil with anger and sadness.

Respect to you Simi. Hearing a Sikh girl say that makes me proud.

im a boy and a wear a hoodie and jeans to gurdwara .
if girls want to wear western clothes they can.
but eventually i will scrap my nike, evisu and adidas and just wear a chola, and we should all aim to do that.
personally i see no point dressing up in totally differnet clothes to what u wear normally, its just putting on a show. its alright to look neat tho.
bottom line - until ur a gurmukh, just wear whatever, providing its nothing tight or skimpy.
I'm thinking of this subject through a liberal view and agree with Soulja paji.

If the youth KNEW about Sikhi and their religion they would not drift away from the righteous way. Teaching is the key. Without teachings and not knowing your birthright and heritage what do they have to be proud of with regards to their religion.
Im not putting the blame on anyone but as the past is the past lets all work toward the future and makesure we as soon to be parents and Sikhs are able to change the future.
