Over the last couple of days i have put a number of Swami Ishwar Das Ji Udasi's videos of katha onto you tube. If you are interested in watching them they are on the link below

On Gurmatveechar.com a large number of MP3s of katha by Sant Jagjit Singh Ji Harkhowalae have been added. Included in this are a number of Vedantic granths such as Vichar Sagar and katha on parts of the Bhagawat Gita. In total there are 343 MP3s of Katha on the website.

Please take the time out to listen to them all if possible, some amazing vichars.

In order to celebrate the great Mahapurkhs jeevani with the recent barsi the katha to the Bhai Gurdas Dian Vaaran is now available to download for all the sangat. The collection is incomplete but well worth listening to with antreev arths, stories and questions you may never have considered from the Vaaran before.

The Sampardai Taksal Steek for Sant Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji's Katha for Sri Raag and Maajh has been released. It is around 1136 pages in total so quite thick. It is now available through Jaspinder SIngh Grover on facebook as his father owns Jawahar SIngh Kirpal Singh Book store in Amritsar who can send it by courier. Normally takes a week to arrive.

It was quite obvious he was self taught and not by an ustaad on granths. The word Yaaras refers to Mohammeds friend namely the four caliphs Abu Bakar, Umar, Uthman and Ali

You cn get this in the book by Dr Ganda Singh called Bhai Nand Lal Ji Di Rachanavali or in english translated by Prof Ujaggar from Washington

Sant Bhupinder Singh Ji actually learned from Sant Giani Mohan Singh Ji as did Sant kirpal Singh Ji Boparai walae who were the mahant prior to them.

Navjot you do not translate the workd word by word as they dont make sense the elaborate metaphors and similies make the lines longer and need elaborationexactly like when katha is done of a mantar like Ik Oankar it can go on for ages but it is just one symbol

1) Did Guru Nanak ever say anything that supported the notion of his being Raja Janak in a previous birth?

The assumption is used as Hindu Texts state that Janak freed the captive souls in hell and it is believed that Guru Nanak DEv Ji was the one who came to the earth when those captive souls had taken birth and they needed to be liberated by Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

The Bhatts and Guru Arjan Dev Ji state that Guru nanak Dev Ji were the manifestation of the Lord.

111 is used after a Sant has attained Mahasamadhi. Before that only 108 is used the additional 3 are Desh Kal and Vastu added on to 108 to make 111. Then people know which Sadhus are still here in a mortal body and which are not.

Dalsingh i was trying to put the Gurmukhi text on but i just could not understand the Gurmukhi Unicode esp when youa re so used to using other Gurmukhi fonts. So i left it in the end. The other reason was that it would slow the completion of the work down. I hope to Get the Sri Nanak Parkash done which should take about a year then move onto some of the other dharam granths, vedant granths and ithaasak granths. Bhai Jvala Singh who has a beautiful blog gave me instructions how to set up the Gurmukhi unicode but me being as thick as I am was unable to use it properly. Please accept my apologies for this

I have however tried to keep the numbering system as in the Granths so you can read the Gurmukhi on www.ik13.com and the english fromt he blog if ti makes life easier?

It is tricky trying to do a basic english translation of the Sooraj Parkash as it is really deep. The Mangal for Saraswati has so many different meanings that if expounded it could go on for a long time so have tried to keep with the literal meanings of the text whilst trying to preserve the sampardaic arths.

I will try to update this blog at least once in every two days as am quite busy tring to finish off one book and assisting with another book. Along with the seva i can do for gurmatveechar.com i am busy juggling many balls. Gurus Kirpa if I am graced by the divine these tasks will be completed in accordance to his will.
