  1. What about those that are Keshdaris, or are amritdharis, but do harm to others? What will happen to them? Will they be better than the sehajdharis in the gurus/god's eyes?
  2. How are we assured to break this cycle of birth and death to?...I dont know i feel like im just trapped...and God's laughin down at me...MATRIXXXXXXXXXX!!! lol
  3. Fateh Ji, After this post, I'm not gonna keep buging ya'll... I'm just confused... If someone can answer these qusetions to me...if possible... What's the thing i hear that the soul goes through 8.4 Million reincarnations? How can we know this is true? Why are there so many religions? And How do we know which one is right? Listen, i may sound like im talking from a depressed view. But i'm just really confused. I sit around for hours thinking about this, and all this runs into my head. Like i don't find happines in false things like, drinking, etc, money...and I'm sure if start to "live" like that again I'll never find true happiness...I understand exactly what the Gurus said, it makes a lot of sense...they keeping of the kesh etc...but i'm just confused on the whole big picture... Like what happens to those who cut their hair? but they don't mean harm, where do they go? What about those, that dont really follow religon, but help others and are clean-hearted? I've been causing pain for my family for absolutely no reason, they ask me whats my problem, and I say nothing...if i tell them its Sikhi, they will laugh and mock at me...and say Sikhi says to respect ur parents and to live life not just waste it...but I just want some more knowledge...maybe this knowledge can never be gained? ALRITE SORRY TO BOTHER YOU ALL FOR THE 25th billionth time... and another question, to the boy who died, "Vijay Singh" what will happen to him? Poor kid died from evil eh...but was it right for him to committ suicide at that age?...would have you reccomended him to cut his hair instaed? I get questions like you don't need to keep your hair to become close to God...yeah but I SEE WHY WE KEEP OUR KESH, not for God, but for Sikhi and the martyrs and the gurus...and they kind of contradict their own words... I DONT KNOW...i have a perfectly good life...but just some whack questions... SORRY WJKK WJKF
  4. thank you, but i'm normal again lol...WOO HOO...I FEEL LIBERATEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD...KHALISTAN ZINDABAD! lol... FATEH

  6. http://www.sikhnet.com/sikhnet/articles.ns...4a!OpenDocument ...great article...
  7. Man im so confused...i hate being in this constant middle state...either i feel like giving up religion as a whole, or learning it to the fullest...im completely lost...and my family acts as if i've comitted a crime...they don't see the true "knowledge" i gained...oh well hmm should respect my parents eh...they do whats best for u!
  8. God is not a thing among other things, God is total thingness. To say that the table exists is the same as saying that the table is God. To say that you exist is the same as saying that you are God. God is the existence. God is isness, the quality of isness, the quality of existence... Aren't you proving Hinduism right there? Thats why HIndus take all objects as God...WHICH SIKHI GOES TOTALLY AGAINST?.... God is not a thing among other things, God is total thingness.... Aren't you say that god is a thing again...THING...THINGNESS.... and yes if we achieve true salvation..we WOULDN't need "Evil" to have happines occur...if we always lived with no defeats in our head like the gurus have taught us...we would always be HAPPY...
  9. alrite alrite...i went to the library, i read the translations of japji sahib...basically i came across that living by the truth, is the best way of living...and that essentially god comes in us...I DONT BELIEVE IN A GOD above us, where he/she CONTROLS "EVERYTHING"...i can see why EVIL occurs, ITS BECAUSE OF MAN's MISTAKE...and God does not control us, but if we follow by the rules of God, then the world will be much better off...i dont know...im just asking a lot of questions cause i'm just trying to find sense and logic. I guess God cannot really be explained, but something one eventually learns? But i do follow the guru's teaching they make sense to me...God is in us...and whats the thing about 8.4 Million reincarnations?...etc and etc...and what happens after LIFE?...do we just die and nothing happens? I've heard that life is HEAVEN or HELL...i dont know i just found myself contemplating my beliefs for the past 2 weeks...and my parents are wondering what the heck is wrong with me...I just want to go into something that I truly understand, and not follow it blindly. Its funny to look at some people's problems, they are absolutely blown out of porporition, and if we all live by the teachings of the gurus, we wouldn't have these problems...but why don't we all see this? and what makes us into a religion?....there are so many religions how do we know which one is right for us?...and nothing "dramatic" occurs these days, but seemingly back then a lot of "Spontaenous" things occured...why not now?...all Religions work for the same goal and purpose...I guess we all find out when we die?...what happens to one who does good, but never does paht? where does he/she got after life?... Medicines, etc cannot do anything to calm a soul, until they find truth themselves...i dont know...i think i'm just thinking too much and not living the wonderul life the guru has granted me.
  10. WJKK WJKF, Recently for some odd reason I've found myself contemplating on this God issue... I have an athiest view on god...like i think hes jus created for the benefit of society...and he revoles everywhere in us...but God doesn't control everything and all that...cause like people pray for that n this...hes not gonna actually give u all that...god is jus formless n etc...but then again so many faiths seemed to have interacted with God, like christ, mohammed, nanak, etc...so im like hmm maybe there is a god...but i dont know?...but when i say waheguru im like okay...i feel god...i dunno I dont know...without Sikhi, I'd like die...there would be no point in my life... I find Sikhi to be really practical and thats why i find it attractive...i can see the reasoning behinds most aspects...like recently i've been experiencing "headaches" and "migraines" cause i'm thinking too much about unncessary issues...yet I know if i do paht, and just LIVE life, i can make it all go away...and its just basically MASTERING of the Mind... i've read an article somewhere...that God was neither created nor invented for society...without God society would be so corrupt...like how do we know atoms and all that exist, gravity? etc...we just tend to believe in it...so maybe I should apply the same views on God, since Christ, Mohammed, Guru Nanak all have "interacted" with God... Cause I dont find myself believing that there is someone above us that Controls everything....but sometimes I do...but I dont know...cause I don't pray for what i need, i just pray for others usually...But somedays I dont think of this issue at all.... Its amzing how dinosaurs once lived on this world...and how "Science" has made such a universe...but who controls this all? No one? or is there really One God? Just Puzzled... :?
  11. Very nice pictures...but why name gurudwaras after a caste? lol..."RAMGHARIA SIKH TEMPLE?"...hmm...oh well...amazing gurudwaras though...look just like India...
  12. rtsp://video.c-span.org/project/c04/c04020104_kerry.rm Please forward to about 31 minutes. Courteusy - Sikh Sangat John Kerry, a Presidental hopeful criticized Sikhs as terrorists in India. Sikhs here in the United States, fund-raised for Kerry. However, he was caught reffering all Sikhs as terrorists. Kerry looks to be the democratic nominee and is the current front runner. If he wins the democratic nominee, he will go up against current President George Bush. Personally, I love Kerry's ideas or any other democrats compared to Bush's. However, with this remark, and if Kerry remains in the lead, I'd rather vote for Bush. Even though, I personally don't like Bush's plans and ideas, he at the least respects Sikh values. After 9/11, Sikhs met with President Bush and he assured Sikhs security and urged the public not to commit hate crimes.
  13. LeBron right now is amazing. He has by far lived up to his standards and certainly surpassed them. I thought he was going to be a big bust when he entered the NBA. However, he lived up to the hype. He backs up the hype, with his exquisite passing skills. Plus, no one can stop him when he takes it in the lane. He's a MAN. He's only 18, and is 6'8, 200 somethin' pounds. Did you see the opening game of the season? with the Kings? He tore it up. Did you see him last night? Career High 38. His work ethic is great. His team's record from last year has already surpassed the amount of wins. Plus, unlike Carmelo, LeBron has no one to work with. It's a one man show. This kid knows and understands the game of basketball. He is a team player. He is the REAL DEAL.
  14. I personally don't believe in the caste system... I was just trying to point out how some may do... WJKK WJKF
  15. Okay buddies...from my corny experiences I can say that there is not such thing as "True love"...its all false hope we put ourselves in...yeah we can meet someone, start caring for them like crazy and etc...blah blah...even if you don't have any "sexual" thoughts with the person you are currently with, are you like committed till like death does you two apart (gora line, but eh)...only marriage will bring you true commitment...the union of 2 souls...parents are not against love, they know how silly there children can be and get easily caught into such a thing...so 9/10 when there children say there in love, there like okay bs...and true Sikhs would never hold double standards, but the one who believes in caste...will most likely care about his daughter breaking the rules than his son...cause in any culture, its ashameful to see the daughter marrying out of their religion n etc...like ISLAM...but its okay for the son, cause she'll be "Coming" into the family...do I see any sense in this? No...because I sure as hell wouldn't let my son marry out of his religion likewise same with my daughter...but the thing is when your in love before marriage, you are subject to become weak and hurt cause you dont know if its "True" or real...(aka marriage)....after marriage...your love is ever lasting...but Punjabi parents still see this foolish because Gorayz take up divorces after having kids....and still try to "FIND" their true love...so this concept of love can be endless...and so back to the caste situation...each caste wants their son/daughter to marry into the same caste....why?...cause of PRIDE, excessive ego...or just cause your "bloodline" is filled with the same exact caste...or wuteva you want to call it....so going against your Dad, whose given you everything and anything during your lifetime may turn out to be a big mistake...if you cant complete his one wish to marry someone who he accepts...then i don't know...its not like hes forcing you to marry ONE exclusive person....Do I personally believe in Caste?...no...because even though its not like the Hindu caste system where we look down upon each other, it breaks us from becoming brothers and sisters and etc...and there are idiots in each caste, and I find Sikh brothers from every caste...that actually care bout sikhi...than rather then there stupid caste...and thats what Guruji basically wanted us to be...ONE, UNITED, TOGETHER...not seperated and etc...but the SGGS does tell us to obey our parents too....so your choice.... you are not even married to this guy, and yet you claim you love him, or do you love your dad, who you have known, and who has been there for you time after time in your life... My parents have always told me, not to hide anything from them...and I think you shouldn't either...sometimes time only delays things...love your parents...be open...develop the bond...you should be afraid of your parents, but not afraid not to tell them anything...THERE LIKE YOUR BEST FRIENDS!....lol but of course parents all are different...you know how to handle your case... If it dosent work out...its not the end of the world...hope everything works out though...Take Care...1
  16. Well hmm I just started to grow my hair out, so I curently use Suave for Men...that stuff smells good...gives you a more "manly" scent when you come outta the shower... :sikhiwink2:
  17. Yeah alrite, SORRY i went a lil crazy and went off topic. In 84...I didnt exist  Fact is the guy is republican. I wouldn't vote for him just cause he's Sikh.
  18. In addition, Kathuria dated a MISS HINDIA. What any hardcore Sikh ever consider dating someone out of their religion? Mind you, don't become easily enlightened that a "fellow sikh" like Kathuria is so great for the Sikh community. Kathuria is like one of those Sikhs that was aiding the army during the attack of 1984. Lastly, we don't need another Badal-like politician and display the Sikh identity. Like anything, do your research before supporting anyone. POLITICS AND RELIGION do go hand in hand...like Sikhi states. But we don't need a SIKH REPUBLICAN. DEMOCRATS. KHALISTAN ZINDABAD!
  19. I agree, Kathuria is a POLITICIAN...how many good Sikh politicians are there? This guy is a republican, if your not familiar with UNITED STATES politics, there are basically two main partys, the Republicans who are more conservative and are considered to be more towards the rich and more for white america, and then there are Democrats that are more liberal and more for minorities. Besides this fact, Kathuria doesn't even live up to basic Sikhi principles. This guy just keeps his turban and beard and is simply hindu-washed. LOL...he doesn't even care if his own wife is Sikh. Yeah it'll be good to have a Sikh politican in America, but ehh we sure don't need to put false hope in someone who can't even carry the proper Sikh neccessities. Vote Democrats 2004. Howard Dean for President. NOT WESLEY CLARK HAREET. -Gurjote
  20. Bhagat Singh was not even full Sikh, his mother was marathi. I've also read stories that he also didn't believe in God. But yeah, he was a great freedom fighter.
  21. I from New Jersey (USA), I don't live in Ludhiana!...lol...I was just stating where I'm from Punjab. :sikhiwink2:
  22. Yeah man, India is messed up. Everyone I know that goes to India, tells me that India is becoming worse and worse. My mom just came back, and she said if I went there, I'd argue with all my cousins. My friend went this summer, he said he ended up arguing with everyone of his cousins. It's embarassing. I started keeping my hair, and when my cousins found out, they were like "Is He Okay?"..."What the hell is wrong with him."...It's funny cause we would think Indian Sikhs would be stronger and etc. But times have changed. Its actually the westernized Sikhs that make the faith stronger. Ignore India, its all bakwas fed by the Indian Gov. They have set up barber shops, bars, and implented opium like crazy. Most of the punjabis there think its cool to speak Hindi. The aftermath of 1984 is still not over. That's why eventually Sikhs need their independent nation. However, the majority of Sikhs in India are dumb. Especially the Jatts that think there living up life and have complete control in the pinds. All they do is smoke, drink, and let the bhaiyya take over. In the pinds it use to be Jattan Da Raj, but now its more like bhaiyya da raj. We need a Sikh Leader to stand up. But till then, India will remain India.
  23. Yo wassup...yeah at one point during a lifetime, you always face a negative time period. It's not a big deal. I use to study my ass off when it didnt count...Straight A's throughout middle school...up until like 9th grade I started messin' up...ya know...hormones blah n etc...depression etc...but thas where i discovered myself as a person...even thought i didnt do anything bad like smoke, drink, sex etc...like my parents were so focused on school...yeah education is a big thing...try your best...atleast you know you tried ur hardest...be happy...explain to your parents...atleast you have health, family, and a house. Many in this world are unfortunate. Just try your best, and I'm sure you'll become something! Take Care, hope everything works out. -G
