  1. singhs should be fashion concious, well to a point where they can attract the opposite sex.

    you see "survival of the fittest" doesnt actually mean, the one who can run/lift/perform the best but it actually is more along the lines of success, and success is passing your "seed" to the next generation.

    you can have a world champion who is sterile/low sperm count and then a cripple with 2-3 heathly kids, the cripple is the successor for he has passed on his gene.

  2. why is that you think lots of girls want a clean cut gut compared to a singh? girls raised around non-keshdhari men will obviously find keshdhari men slighty alien.

    but when girls raised around keshdhari men start going for non-keshdhari men, thats when ill start gettin worried!

    In general, singhs should keep themselves well groomed, and attractive, esp if you are an eligable bacheolar (sp)... and ive got a good few years yet, im only 19. Woohoo!

  3. they can be done anywhere with no equipment. they offer progression in terms of increased time intervals of contractions or number of repititions. they main thing would be you don't have to have an excuse not to go to the gym, lol.

    Although muscle size increases will be limited with these types of exercises. They are very good for neuro-muscular connections and motor neurone speed (reaction time) and fibre recruitment.

  4. stretches should be held for a minimum of 30 seconds each, often done in repitition, i.e. left hamstring, right hamstring, left hamstring, right hamstring etc.

    yes you can increase strength whilst increasing flexability. Strength is increased by providing an increasing stimulus to the muscle, be it weight training, isometric/plyometric etc... but don't be expecting huge strength increases if you are not eating enough calories.

  5. not really its got too much fat in it, good as a weight gainer, but 2pints of skim milk work out to be cheaper, with more protein and a lot less fat in...

    a few pints of skim milk, scoops of whey and tubs of cottage cheese, and watch the protein go thru the rooF!

    If i recall rightly Shaheeds Sukha and Jinda also cut thier kesh to do the mission, but then let their kesh grow again afterwards...>

    In reply to the question, i'd do what i could if i was the last/only person left. Kesh will grow back, and one should be "big" enough to take the "paap" involved with this action.

  7. Well u at 70kg would be hard, i dont think u cud eva reach that light weight, unless u was in some sort of prison camp living on a burn piece of toast a day and an egg or so. lol.

    Nah bro u should aim for 85-90 kg, with same lifts in time, that would be pretty magnificent. goony cut to around 13.5 stone and u'll be a rock!!

    It depends on what type of diet you are on... Calorie deficit is the main thing when ttrying to cut up, or having really low insulin levels, which means minimizing simple carbs and fruit sugars etc.

    10% b.f is what im aiming for this summer too, but i look pretty cut at about 13-14%. Just getting to 13-14% for me is hard, so im going to have to cut till 14%ish, do my exams and then try and blitz the last 8lbs or so after my exams... but 10% will be mine.... do or die.

    Do cardio early morning on empty stomach, you will increase fatloss significantly.

    Goony, bro, am doing about 25-30 miles a week right now, started again 2day, cutting for a futher 3-4 weeks.

    Getting the size back wont be hard, the hardest thing is gaining the muscle in the first instance, but if it does atrophy, it will grow back quickly because of the common phenomenon called "muscle memory".

    Actually slow intensity long duration cardio, you can get away with about 60mins in one session.

    Good advice by goony for the newbies to training or the ones who are "stuck".

  9. was this the bombing that took place over ireland? if it was that one then the indian government were responsiblem, i remember this a few years back... i'll get some proof/info on my thoughts.

    doaba, the government did practice lots of dirty tactics like dressing up as singhs/karkoos and commiting crimes etc, murders and bombings in panjab for years.

  10. The distinctive indentity is not the problem i think...

    Its the fact that we are not open to thoughts and beliefs of other individuals, and get lost in trying to get everyone to adhere to one set standard.

    Like toy dolls going into a machine and coming out all the same... same dress, thoughts etc. I don't like this idea. What is suitable or dear to one may not so be for another... I don't think Amritdharis should look down on monay or the other way round for that matter.

    We need to see the virtues of an individual, respect them for thier deeds and actions, thats what effects humanity and ultimately that is what will decide their fate. Reap what you sow, here and in the next world.

    Many sikhs are just anti muslim full stop, due to moghuls, afghans etc... and after 1947 and 1984 we've become anti hindu too, we need to get out of this mentality.
