Ik Oankar Satt...Gur Prasad

(True copy of the Writing of the Tenth Master)

We are under the protection of the Timeless Being.

We are under the Protection of the All-Steel.

We are under the protection of the All-Time.

We are always under the protection of the All-Steel. 1.

(Signatures of the Writer; With Thy Grace; Chaupai)

Salutation to One God first of all, Who has created all the water, earth and sky; Who is the Primal Being, ineffable and indestructible; Whose light is in all the fourteen regions. 1.

He pervades the elephant (high) and the insect (low) equally; Who considers the king and the poor alike; He is the non-dual, indescribable and all knowing Being; Who knows all hearts. 2. He form is beyond description, He is indestructible and without garb; He has no particular colour or outline; His features are unique; He is the Primal, non-dual and evil-less Being. 3. He has no particular outline; has no enemy or friend, no father or mother. He is far as well as near, present in all regions. 4. His form is limitless; He is unstruck Melody; Under His protection lives the goddess Bhavani; gods like Brahma and Vishnu can't comprehend Him, hence call Him 'Beyond limit'. 5. He has created millions of Indra gods and their juniors. He has created and destroyed Brahmas and Shivas. He has created this game of fourteen regions and at the end consumes all in Himself. 6. He has created numerous demons, gods, snake gods, heavenly singers, Kubers and creatures of the four Khanis. He is praised in all the three times and He knows all hearts. 7. He has no father or mother or caste; He is formless and envious to none; He is present in all the lights and at every place. 8. He is the Timeless, without death; unknowable, formless Sage; has no caste or creed or colour or outline. He is without any body, indestructible and beyond doubt. 9. He destroys and creates everyone. He destroys all miseries, diseases and evils. Those who concentrate on Him for a while, free themselves from the fear of death. 10.

With Thy Grace. Kabit.

With Your Grace. Swayya.

I have wandered through all the houses of Buddhists, puritans, Yogis, celibates and also of warriors, demons, pure ones, nectar taking gods and saints of various beliefs; I have seen the whole land but have not seen, amongst them, a single person really imbued in the love of God. With out the grace of God and being imbued in His Name one is worthless. 1.

Kings owned mighty elephants embedded with gold and were huge, beautiful and colourful; possessed numerous horses who ran fast like deer, leaving behind even the wind; before whom even mighty kings bowed heads; in spite of all these, even such kings entered (the other world) barefooted. 2.

One may conquer kingdoms and victory drums are beaten; elephants may trumpet loud, numerous beautiful horses neigh; there have been such innumerable kings in all the three times; without meditating on the name of Lord, all went to the Court of Yamraj (to be adjudged for their deeds which are devoid of love for God). 3.

Even if one bathes in pilgrimage tanks, practise mercy, controls senses, performs charity, observes restraint and many kinds of daily routines of chanting scriptures and performs many such noble deeds; may recite scriptures like Vedas, Puranas, semetic scriptures like Quran and wanders through the whole earth (to find salvation); may live on the diet of air only, become celibate and keep good ideas; I have seen several such people but without meditating on the Name of God-King and becoming imbued in His Name, nothing is going to be taken into account (whatelsever one may have done). 4.

One may possess a good army, every soldier of which may have the ability to crush the enemy; they may be so powerful that even the mountain be like feathers before them and they may be invincible; they may crush the enemy, twist the defiant and shatter the pride of the mighty elephants even; BUT without the Grace of God they will also depart from this world ultimately (without achieving anything). 5.

There may be numerous greatest of the great warriors who may be facing weapons without hesitation; they may conquer kingdoms, crush the defiant and also crush the pride of the mighty elephants also; they may break though the strong forts and conquer all the four directions while gossiping even; Lord is the Hero of all, numerous (such brave people) are beggars before Him and He is Provider of all. 6.

Demons, gods, sheshnaag (serpent with hundreds of mouths) and cannibals remember Him all the three times; He creates all the creatures, in water and on earth, within no time; By meditating on Whom, benefaction increases manifolds and mounds of sins vanish, groups of saints wander around the world in bliss and their enemies have been annihilated. 7.

Humans, gods like Indra and Kuber and those who rule over the people; who bathe in millions of pilgrimage places, give even elephants etc in charity, and win many swayyamvaras (ceremonially choosing bridegrooms by princesses); even gods like Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva - all will be trapped by death; but those people who meditates on the Name of God will not be born again. 8.

What even if one sits, closing one's eyes and hypocritically meditates like heron; if one bathes in all the seven oceans, both this and the other worlds are lost; if one lives midst of sin and thus wastes one life; Listen carefully! I proclaim that only those who love God find Him. 9.

Some worship idols, others wear lingam around their necks; some bow towards the east while some to the west; some ignorant people worship the images and some the dead ones; the entire world is engrossed in empty rituals and none has realised the incomprehensibility of God. 10. 30.

With Your Grace. Tomar Chhand.

God is devoid of births and deaths; He is versatile in eighteen spheres of learning; He has impeccable elegant form; His splendor can not decline. 31.

He, who has unlimited forms, is not attached to any particular one, He is fatherly to all saints equally; His glory is the highest as He is the source of all light (life) on the earth; He is versatile in eighteen spheres of learning. 32.

He has impeccable elegant form; He is destroyer of all sorrows of all realms; He is devoid of imaginative and transient actions; He is proficient in all religious rituals. 33.

His splendour is unique and immeasurable; He has created the whole creation; He is griefless and invincible; Brahma sings His praise through the four Vedas. 34.

He is called Infinite by the Nigams and the Vedas; His splendour is unaffected and unparalleled; He is unending, immeasurable and unestablished. 35.

He has created the whole universe and created every thing after due consideration; His form is unlimited and unending; His splendour is unparalleled and luminous. 36.

He has created the universe (gross) from embryo (subtle) and has created the fourteen regions; He expanded this universe; His form is ineffable and benevolent. 37.

He created millions of kind Indras; He has created numerous Brahmas, Vishnus, Ramas, Krishnas and Mohammads; without devotion none is acceptable to Him. 38.

(He has created) numerous seas, mountains and Sumeras; numerous Machhas, Katchhas and Shehnagas; numerous gods etc and princes; numerous incarnations of Krishnas and Vishnus. 39.

Numerous Indras sweep at His door; several are the Brahmas and Vedas; there are numerous trivial forms of Shiva; there are numerous handsome Ramas and Krishnas. 40.

There are numerous Kokas and many study their poetry; many tell the mysteries of the Vedas; many explain Shastras and Simritis while many do exposition of Puranas. 41.

Many perform 'Hom Yagya'; some perform difficult meditation as penances; some keep their arms up; many wear the garb of ascetics. 42.

Some do 'Neoli', a kind of Yogic exercise; some practise dieting on air; some give alms at pilgrimages; many perform Yagyas liberally. 43.

Somewhere beautiful 'Hom yagya' is performed; somewhere kings perform justice; somewhere customs of Shastras and Simritis are followed, but at others the opposite. 44.

Some wander from place to place while others stay at one place; some meditate standing in water while others endure the ferocity of fire. 45.

Some live in forests, some endure heat on their bodies; some follow the house-holders' duties and some liberal polity. 46.

Somewhere He is free from maladies, somewhere performs deeds unattached; somewhere He is poor, at others prince; Somewhere He is in form of Sheikh or Brahmin, at others He has noble polity. 47.

Somewhere He is free from diseases and maladies, at others He is subordinate to His devotee; somewhere He is in the form of the sage Ved Vyas. 48.

Many cram the divine Vedas, others do in the semetic way; some adopt renunciation, others wander as ascetics. 49.

Without being based on One God's name, know all actions as empty and all religions futile and all actions are illusory. 50.

With Your Grace. Laghunraj Chhand.

God is in water, on the land, in the heart, in the forest. 51.

God is on mountains, in caves, on the earth, in the sky. 52.

He is in this world, in the other, on the earth, in the sky. 53.

He is ineffable, beyond robes, devoid of stigma & dualism. 54.

He is beyond time, depends upon none and is invincible. 55.

He is beyond all kinds of magic; His glory is splendorous and is beyond effects of magical threads. 56.

He is devoid of caste, lineage, death and mother. 57.

He is beyond disease, grief, illusion and action. 58.

He is unconquerable, without fear and invincible. 59.

He is indivisible, non-dependable on women, non-punishable and magnificent. 60.

God is greatest of the great, invincible; He does not depend on diet and is invincible. 61.

Repeat His Name, worship Him, do penance on His Name, meditate on Him. 62.

You (God) are in water, earth, river as well as in the ocean. 63.

You are in the tree, the leaf, the earth and the sky. 64.

I repeat His name (twice), cram and worship His Name. 65.

You are the earth, the sky, the house and its owner. 66.

You are beyond birth, cosmic order, touch and destruction. 67.

You are the celibacy, austerities, liberation, and its incarnate. 68.

You are, You are, You are, You are. 69.

You are, You are, You are, You are. 70.

With Your Grace. Kabit.

If by eating filth one can find God then the pig will find first; if by applying ash to body, one finds God then elephant and the ass will find first as they always do so; if one finds God by living near cemetery, the Indian badger lives there only. If by living near Monasteries one can realise God, the owl lives there; if by apathy, then deer always wander like that; if by remaining silent then the tree dies living silently. If by keeping celibacy one could realises God then eunuch would have been the first one to realise and if by remaining naked then it would have been the monkeys who always remain naked. An ignorant person with lust and anger can't find God, whatever rituals one may perform. 71.

Ghost lives in forest, children live on milk, those who live on air are called serpents. Those who live alone on grass and leaves, discarding money etc are cow-calves. Those who fly are birds; those who keep their eyes only closed, are heron and wolves. Those who have realised God, have come to know the reality of such people but have not told them but I advise them not to follow such empty rituals (as these are of no avail). 72.

Those who live in earth are known as termites; flying ones are called birds. Eaters of fruits are sons of monkeys and those live in hidings are better known as ghosts. Those who always float on water are water worms; eaters of fire are better known as partridge. Worshipper of sun is the lotus flower and that of moon is Nymphoea edulis (water lily). 73.

If God is 'Narayan' then every thing living in water (Narayan), like Kutchh, Muchh and octopus etc will also become 'God'; like wise lotus is also 'lotus in navel' or 'God'. If Krishna is Gujjar (grazer of herds) then all gujjars will become Krishnas. If He is Rikhikesh then many have assumed this name also. If His Name is Madhav then black bee is also called madhav; if His Name is Kanahya then spider is also called kanahya; if He killed Kans then messenger of death should also be called 'killer of Kans'. (Meaning thereby that by adopting Godly names one can't become God.) Fools speak out foolishly but can't go deep and understand the spirit, hence do not worship Him alone Who preserves all. 74.

He who nourishes and destroys the universe and is benevolent, kind and troublesome for the evil, is Nourisher and beyond death. Yogis, persons with matted hair, celibates, truthfuls suffer many austerities to have His glimpse. Many do Neoli, others give offerings to water, fire and air, while some hang upside downwards and stand on one foot. Humans, Sheshnaag, gods, demons have not found His secret even and scriptures of Vedic and the Semitic tradition both fail to give any simile. 75.

If one could find Him by dancing, peacocks dance during the cloud thunder and if by in various actions then lightening does so; if alone by having coolness or heat then the moon and the sun would have got Him; if by providing people then Indra does so by showering rain.
