There were two major religions in India, before Sikhism founded by Guru Nanak and one was Hinduism and another Islam. IF WE GO GENERATIONS BACK TO TRACE OUR FAMILY ORIGINS WOULD IT BE TRACED TO THOSE RELIGIONS? If you really want to know then you have to visit "Haridwar" because there are "Vahees" that have all the data of generations. One will find his ancestors names there only if he/she belongs to any so-called upper class.
