  1. Is it in English or Punjabi? Available online? Thanks
  2. Can someone please explain the different types of kosh, that exist in our body? Thanks Bhul chuk maaf
  3. Bro, please do let me know about those assertions. Use Gurbani to prove me wrong. Daas is willing to learn. Anyways. let's stick to the topic. Bhul chuk maaf
  4. Another request to admins: Please get more strict on people who attack Gurbani (SSGGSJ/SDGSJ). This is a Sikh forum and it should not promote any cults (which applies to some-- AKJ/missionaries/followers of so-called SRM). Only Sikhism should be propagated on this forum. Already many Gurudwaras in India are under sgpc control, where so-called SRM has been enforced. In some Gurudwaras, wrong prachaar is being done against Gurbani. These activities are greatly hurting Sikhism. At least, we have this online forum, which can be used as a tool to spread Sikhism, as taught by Satgurus. DDT, Nihangs, Udhasis, Nirmalay, Sewapanthi, Nanaksar, etc, all need to unite and face this growing threat of amendments to our religion. Bhul chuk maaf
  5. Can someone please describe the different types of heavens? How many are mentioned in Gurbani? Thanks Bhul chuk maaf
  6. Bro, the Jews might have been wrong in this case, but extreme asceticism and segregation of sexes have their place in Gurmat. Examples of extreme asceticism - Srimaan Sant Baba Nand Singh jee Maharaaj Kaleranwale did not allow any of the Singhs in the jatha, to talk to any lady, other than one's sister and mother. Babajee also removed a Singh from the jatha for laughing. It is not very common among Sikhs, but it has its importance, especially in Jathas. Segregation of sexes - Women and men sitting separately in Sangat is a good example. Extreme segregation might not be part of Gurmat, like for example, refusing to work with women, doing seva with them, etc. Additionally, Sikh men are not allowed to touch any woman, other than one's wife, mother and sister. That would imply -- not shaking hands, no patting, no hugging, etc. One can term that as extreme. The below can be classified as extreme too. Bhul chuk maaf
  7. Sister, there is no restriction in Gurmat, regarding visiting an astrologer. Many Gurmukhs might not recommend Astrology, as it creates anxiety in human mind. One has to be really strong mentally, to be able to listen to his future, especially if bad events are going to occur. Gurbani focuses on the present moment. N30SINGH saab explained it very well, in this topic. Quote It's generally not advisable to get into knowing the future let the mystery be mystery let it unfold be-de-attached from unfolding mystery-... while you may think knowing future can help dilemma of today, reverse is also quite true as well- knowning future can also open can of worms as well which can cause hindrance to your present moment- power of now- moments of all moments- present moment..so bit of caution is needed. 8. Is there any mention of "Aghori" Sadhus in Gurbani? Thanks Bhul chuk maaf
  9. The below website seems like a good source of knowledge, regarding evil eye. Quote In today’s materialistic world, most people have personality defects and vices such as jealousy, hatred, hunger for publicity etc. Vibrations generated from these vices have a spiritually distressing effect on us. This is what is termed as getting afflicted by the evil eye. Unquote [1] [1] - http://www.spiritualresearchfoundation.org/spiritual-problems/evil-eye/ Bhul chuk maaf
  10. Quote "should keep in mind that the evil eye is not some old-fashioned superstitious belief of interest solely to antiquarians. The evil eye continues to be a powerful factor affecting the behavior of countless millions of people throughout the world." 11. My aunt did something with the chilies on my younger brother (when he was a baby -- he was crying excessively) and it worked. There might something going on, which science has yet to prove. Correct me, if Daas is wrong -- due to a child's nirmal budhi (pure mind), he/she is able to see more entities than others. Bhul chuk maaf
