I grew up watching my grand-dad cutting everything by hand (i.e. saw) including taking a few mm off the sides of hardwood (fire check) doors!!, this saves so much time and gives accurate cuts on small timber. The chop saw has a laser as well which is handy! I made a work bench with scrap timber.
Thats really a life changer veer ji especially as how you mentioned seeing your grand dad cutting everything by hand is not easy i can totally relate to it. Its good to be creative as you made a work bench using scrap timber is a really good idea.
I myself want to get back into Central heating plumbing work as i did find carpentery really hard due to the nature of the materials and tools.

You are so lucky veer ji to have had darshan of sant jagjit singh ji as i want to have bachan with them but not had darshan of them. I have met Baba Darshan Singh Ji as they came to our local gurdwara sahib and put a £5 note on the stage and had darshan of baba ji.
