they all wanna share, or rather, grab the glory of sikhi n sikhs. juz coz He was born in hindu family they say He was hindu, and juz coz He went to saudi arabia they think He was muslim. but both are wrong. SGGS has the word of GOD. now tell me one hindu idol where they can say such a thing as "such n such god/goddess resides inside this idol"? well ya they do say so bout certain idols at certain temples in india. in the end its all about faith. and bowing to SGGS is NOT equivalent to bowing before idols. SGGS has the light of all 10 Gurus. no such idol is present anywhere in the world, as far as i know. Gurujee Himself is present in SGGS and thats what He told Sikhs. i dont think any hindu god/goddess told bout their presence in any idol ever. if they did i m interested to know. thats a way to deny the fact that Gurujee sacrificed His life for hinduism. i saw a book at my university's library talking all crap bout Guru Tegh Bahadur. i wrote on that page "THIS AUTHOR IS A FANATIC. DONT BELIEVE ANY WORD"...LOL. so next time they say so, juz say "i feel sorry for u. u dont even have the guts to accept or admit the truth, but that doesnt change the truth". thats it!! hahahahaha...this is 1 question where u can get their a**. well...quran was revealed to mohammad by the angel gabriel...who the hell knows who gabriel was? an angel or a demon? who knows? but SGGS came to the Gurus straight from GOD...no middle man or middle angel i shud say...unadulterated knowledge!!! nowhere else can u find such gyaan. and besides, SGGS is the ONLY holy scripture written by the founders of a religion themselves. quran was written way after mohammad. but Guru Gobind Singh had the SGGS completed in His physical lifetime. feel proud of it!!! people are dumb and say many things. Buddhism was wiped outta india coz Buddhists believe only in meditation. Gurus gave Sikhs meditation as well as the sword to protect it. beat that!!! Guru Nanak remembered WAHEGURU with every breath. 5 is a very small number. probably they are the ones who never know how much Sikhs had to go through. Also, they might belong to the lot that oppressed Sikhs. maybe they over-researched buddhism and under-researched Sikhi...tell them to put in the same amount of effort in researching Sikhi. u might find new Sikhs around u then

N30 paaji, i think u got it the other way round. Hindus believe in Kalki avtaar and Sikhs believe in Nehkalank avtar (as far as i know). Nehkalank means without blemish. Please correct me if i m wrong.

No middle man. Gurus were in direct communion with WAHEGURU. As i mentioned earlier, i don't know how to send an attachment along with messages on this forum, so i am unable to send the file i have in Gurmukhi about Bhagat Singh. Secondly, i don't think anyone can judge anyone else as to whether he/she is a true Sikh, nor can it be judged as to "just how Sikh" he/she is. Its between the individual and Guru Sahib. No third person in the middle. Thats it! All that said and done, it is upto u if u wanna call them "Sikh martyrs" or something else. Everyone is free to have their own opinion. It is also okay if u don't wanna admit that they made the biggest sacrifice for their country. i may be wrong, but i don't feel it is right to judge how Sikh someone is or was, as only Guruji knows that.

Bhagat Singh came into contact with Bhai Randhir Singh and did not remain an atheist anymore. i dunno how to attach files, please tell me how to do so and i will attach a pdf file in Gurmukhi which will explain this better. Also, he wanted to be amritshak before execution which the british didn't allow. Another thing is that he did have the Sikh swaroop by the time of his death although he cut his hair initially. All this is what i have come across from other websites. i admit i could be wrong. There have been websites who claim Bhagat Singh was arya samaji, some say he was atheist. All this could be propaganda just to cover up the fact that he was a Sikh. Udham Singh also is believed to be a keshdhari Sikh, rather than what is shown in films.

Rochak is my 1st name. It means interesting (what an irony huh...LOL). Malang means someone lost in his own world, or in someone's love, not having any anxieties or tensions in life (i m not 100% that way...LOL). The reason why i use it as my last name is coz right now my last name isn't Singh and i hope i am worthy enough to have that name someday in future.

From what i once read on a Sikh website, Sikhism doesnt believe in rakhri. Guru Gobind Singh didnt want His Sikhs to be dependent on anyone for their safety, protection and security. And so He gave us the kara made of steel instead of the rakhri thread. i once asked sikhnet whether i could tie the rakhri as my family and sister are Hindu. They replied yes thats ok coz u will be doing it as a symbol of affection and respect towards your sister. So probably in such a case it should be fine, i think so, not sure. Please let me know more about this.

i live in the bible belt of the USA...missionaries here always target international students, especially desis from India or pakistan...once 2 such people came to my house and talked to me for an hour and a half...the funny thing is that some of them just go on and on about their faith without ever asking u anything about what u follow...i dunno about islamic missionaries, coz we mostly have christian ones here...they will try every possible way to confuse u...u should be proud that Sikhi never says that all non-Sikhs will go to hell, something these evangelists always make noise about...tell them that Sikhi believes in equality for all human beings, equality between men and women, and believes that its more important to have (1) love for GOD (2) faith in GOD (3) devotion to GOD...what religion u follow becomes a secondary thing then...and as long as u dont have these, no matter what religion u follow, no matter how many times u pray...no matter what rituals u perform...you are NOT gonna get ANYWHERE!...tell them this!

i would love to do so bhaji i m not a Singh yet and by Guruji's grace i hope i m someday thats why i have my name as Rochak Malang, where Rochak is my 1st name, and Malang is the kind of person i am but yes, it wud be great if there were real names
