We as a quam hv lots of money and daswandh. We waste our daswandh like Khalsa aid does or by making big marble gurdwaras or making too many gurdwaras in villages.

We can use our daswandh to fund studies of gursikh kids who want to become doctors/dentists etc and then make them do this type of sikhi parchar/social service

    It will hv following benefits:

    1. We will be able to make many of our sikh children into doctors.

    2. Sikhi parchar.

    3. Social service

    @Soulfinder what do u say?

Curious as to how Khalsa aid waste money? I genuinely dont know much about them but whenever I hear anything it’s usually about them going to various places providing aid where needed. I think they just visited Turkey and provided langar/blankets etc.

  2. Simran is going quite well. Problem i am having at the moment is thinking too much about stuff that has happened in the past. The thoughts just automatically creep into my mind, like kaal knows this is what will piss me off so lets five him that thought.

I listen a lot to Simranjit Singh Tohana and Bhai Ajit Singh at GMGG Slough. They say you just need to focus on listening to the anhad shabad and divert away from your thoughts. Sometimes i just find it really really hard though and get myself into a bit of a state.

Just need to keep doing ardas to Waheguru to help me I guess

  3. All I know is Waheguru is not unfair. The Gurbani says countless times that those who do not meditate on him and do not reach the shabad, they will be plundered by the messenger of death. If everything is written and we have no control then why would some of us be punished for not reaching the shabad when it’s not our fault? That would make Waheguru unfair.

Gurbani says ‘ape pati kalam aap, upar lekh vi tu’

You need to write your own destiny.

  4. We often hear how in the old days in India, people would eat badaam, drink hot milk with ghee and other desi foods that were/are food for strength.

So for those of you who know about this sort of stuff, what other foods would you say are good for anyone strength/weight training?

I put questions  earlier two times but it did not get posted: so I made an account.

When we do Simran, who is doing it? Mann/Atma - when you are fully immersed, it will be the mann.

When sometimes dies who dies? It looks like mind dies and atma remains & atma is already free so how one takes birth again. - Neither the mann nor atma dies. Atma merges with Waheguru, mann goes through reincarnation or merges with waheguru if you have reached that stage.

    1. We as atman are not born & not die so its all mind who is doing everything by getting power from Atma & it dies then how come it takes birth again...so it appears that mind does not die cause it takes birth again then may be part of it dies. Please explain who dies? - just the physical body dies. If u havent reached liberation, the mann is transferred to your next life form.

Q: after someone dies can it still feel any pain? or it needs body for that? - Yes it can feel pain. Gurbani says the jamdoot punish you so you do feel pain.

Q: Every human has three bodies namely physical, subtle (sookhsham) and casual (karan). science only deals with what is visible that is physical body or waking stage. Indian researchers of truth did find the other two. Sookhsham body is dreaming stage and casual is combination of two. All three exist in expanse of maya. These are called "trai Gunas" in gurbani and a sikh has to reach turiya stage by crossing these. Is all this true?

My question is can subtle body and casual body can have feelings? Who has to cross these: mind/surat?

  6. The links have been posted already but I would encourage everyone to join Bhai Simranjit Singh Tohanas telegram group. 2 live sessions a day, 14:30pm and 12:30 midnight. The katha is then recorded and uploaded to the group but the jugtian bhai saab explains and goes through with the sangat are not always uploaded so if you can, you really need to join the voice chat live especially the early morning one.

I would also join bhai Amril Singh Shahdihari groups on telegram. Again, plenty of live akath katha and q&a sessions.

Anhad shabads, sehaj dhun, amrit ras and other stages are all explained in detail.

Everyone made fun of a pakistani fielder. They called him fat potato in Toronto.

Yea that was Inzamam Ul Haq. Great batsman, not so great fielder. I think there is a clip on youtube where he goes into the crowd with his bat to hit a fan as he kept calling him a potato!
