    On being judgemental

We judge others when we think we are superior and other people are inferior to us.

We think we are much better human beings and they are an inferior type of human being….

The purpose of meditation of Nam bhakti is to eliminate the ego.

When one is able to eliminate the ego, then you don’t think you are superior at all….

And then you start realizing what your real self is, your insignificance.

And when that realization comes, we don’t see humans at all, we see his light in every human being.

We become humble before Waheguru Akal Purukh,  the Father of all and everything...

    The Shabd is in all.

When we direct our consciousness within

    and realize the Shabd,

we begin to understand the folly of self

    and the oneness of everything.

We begin to comprehend that everything is God’s will

    – that all is exactly as it is supposed to be.

    That understanding becomes complete

when our consciousness goes beyond the mind,

when we can escape the separate, sad, lonely world of the self

and see the Lord inside us and everyone.

    Our Deepest Fear

Our Deepest Fear Is Not That We Are Inadequate.

Our Deepest Fear Is That We Are Powerful Beyond Measure.

It Is Our Light, Not Our Darkness That Most Frightens Us.

We Ask Ourselves, Who Am I To Be Brilliant, Gorgeous, Talented, Fabulous?

Actually, Who ...Are You Not To Be?

You Are A Child Of God.

Your Playing Small Does Not Serve The World.

There Is Nothing Enlightened About Shrinking

So That Other People Won't Feel Insecure Around You.

We Are All Meant To Shine, As Children Do.

We Were Born To Make Manifest The Glory Of God That Is Within Us.

It's Not Just In Some Of Us; It's In Everyone.

And As We Let Our Own Light Shine,We Unconsciously Give Other People Permission To Do The Same.

As We Are Liberated From Our Own Fear,Our Presence Automatically Liberates Others.”

I think this is a huge issue with people today. Along with it comes believing negative judgements or statements made about us, or walking around on eggshells around bad people. If we all practiced the above gyan, In humility, the world would be a brighter place.

I don’t think our prescience would liberate others, but believe that it would guide and teach others. Humans can sense strength if character a lot of the time and one strong soul can encourage and motivate and teach many souls, as Guru Nanak taught us.

    Lord Buddha And The Brahman..!

Lord Buddha was sitting under a banyan tree.
One day, a furious Brahman came to him and started abusing him.

The Brahman thought that Lord Buddha would reciprocate in the same manner, but to his utter surprise, there was not the slightest change in the

    expression on his face.

Now, the Brahman became more furious. He hurled more and more abuses

    at Buddha.
However, Lord Buddha was completely unmoved.

Actually there was a look of compassion on his

    face.
Ultimately the Brahman was tired of abusing him.

He asked, "I have been abusing you, but why are you not angry at all ?"

Lord Buddha calmly replied, "My dear brother, I have not accepted a

    single abuse from you."

"But you heard all of them, didn't you?" The Brahman argued half-heartedly.

Buddha said, "I do not need the abuses, so why should I even hear them?"

Now the Brahman was even more puzzled. He could not understand the

    calm reply from Lord Buddha.

Looking at his disturbed face, Buddha further explained,

"All those abuses remain with you."

"It cannot be possible. I have hurled all of them at you,"

    the Brahmin persisted.

Buddha calmly repeated his reply, "But I have not accepted even a single

    abuse from you !
Dear brother, suppose you give some coins to somebody, and if he does not
accept them, with whom will those coins remain?"

The Brahman replied, "If I have given the coins and not needed by someone,

then naturally they would remain with me."

With a meaningful smile on his face, Buddha said, "Now you are right.

The same has happened with your abuses. You

    came here and hurled abuses
at me, but I have not accepted a single abuse from you.
Hence, all those abuses remain with you only. So there is no reason to be
    angry with you."

    The Brahman remained speechless.

He was ashamed of his behavior and begged for Buddha's forgiveness.

Lesson To Learn From This Story:

Inner calmness and peace are keys to contented life. You know who you

are and what you want in

life, so don't respond to what person said about

    you in

    anger.
Control your anger with patience and calmness.
That is the biggest strength of Wise men.

Never take some one for granted, Hold every person Close to your Heart

because you might wake up one day and realize

that you have lost a diamond while you were too busy collecting stones.

What powers you got after listening to sound current or what powers you may get after mastering sound current.

Any positive or negative comment or any link will finish my thirst.

The Hindu gods and goddesses had naam but many fell and used it for maya reasons, With the five theives. If you practice Naam Truthfully, you don’t desire power, And apply gurbani to your life, is truthful living.

If used for power and ego, it will destroy a being and sink you deep into the Kaal. Trust me, I’ve seen it happen. It is a gift which if practiced for the right reasons, can uplift a soul to the highest heights.

You probably know enough already to walk quite far down this journey. Now work on the practical building not the theoretical understanding unless you need your battery charging. I should also practice what I preach HaHa.

You shouldn't really have too many questions for Gurmukhs unless your having simran problems or experiences that you want to share or discuss with them. Honestly they get fed up with people calling them all the time. Don't become one of those. Keep it once every few weeks or months. Then they love to hear from you, and see how your getting on. Just shows them you not one of those who came and then disappeared never to reach out to them again.

Don't become one of those who calls after every sneeze or tyre puncture to ask why it happened to you? Please do ardas for me etc etc..  When they do a natural bachan of their own choosing for you, then that is the most powerful blessing you will ever need.

I was recently telling my teacher that I'm struggling to do simran for more than 15 mins before I drift into Sunn and I am going in and out in one sitting. I was concerned that I should be forcing myself to stay awake because I kept on hearing mix signals from everyone what I should do, even once from him. He said absolutely not. Don't force yourself because you wont be able to. Let sunn/sehaj come. Get to the stage when you are able to say Waheguru once and you have gone into Sunn. Leave the rest to Waheguru to work His magic. If you can fall into sunn / sehaj listening to sehaj dhun/anhad sounds then even better, but if not keep working on the gurmantar and let the mind drift into sunn when it wants. 🙏 This has been bothering me for months and years now I think and I keep going round in circles because I'm stuck in same rut because I keep hearing different views. Rather than just letting it happen I kept on wanting to solve the issue when I should have just gone with the flow ages ago.

Even Charanjit Singh Gorkhi said he used to drift into Sunn when he was doing simran, although he never used a term for it. The similarities are all there, but we can't rush these things no matter how much want to. Go with the flow bud and work on the practical abhiyaas. Give more importance to that rather than the Akath katha, if you feel you have heard enough now. Personally I stopped listening to all the Q&A now from Simranjeet Singh because it was pushing me back into more research of how to quickly get to others peoples avastas. It's great what he is doing, but for me now it is having a negative effect.

Try this. Sit down, a kambal over your shoulders. Relax your body and listen to the ringing sound, which is Anhad Naad. Let go and let the samadhi take you. Have no expectations of what it should look like or feel, just let it take you.

    God makes even stones float.

    ਰਾਮ ਕਹਤ ਜਨ ਕਸ ਨ ਤਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ

Raam Kehath Jan Kas N Tharae ||1|| Rehaao ||

So how come one not  float across,  by chanting Your Name, O Lord?

In these 2 verses above, Guru Jee clearly tells us that, if ever even remotely, we  want to cross the mahabhavsagar and reach our true Nijh Ghar in Sach Khand, no other practice is of our avail, except that one of repeating His holy name.

And sadly  to say, it is this very Bhakti which most of us relegate as a last option in our daily practices,  that too,  when Guru Jee has clearly stressed upon, in each Ang, in each verse, upon what type of Bhakti to perform,   the one in which,  solely His holy Name is meditated upon, yet we shamelessly and ignorantly avoid it, then too, we say we love and firmly believe in Guru Jee.

    What a contradiction.

By other outer practices, we remain devoid of that divine Truth, which is nowhere outside, but right within us, and it is only by His chintan, His meditation, that we are transported from outer  9 gates and portals,  towards within ourselves, the Tenth gate, there where He has kept Himself fully for us, but alas, nobody does any such thing to reach there. For nobody is even slightly interested in performing that unique bhakti, which Guru Jee constantly reminds us throught out the Bani.

    Stay blessed.

    SSA.

It’s true that simran is divine. But naam simran brings us towards those reconciliations of truth. Gurbani teaches us to live truthfully, don’t commit bad deeds, do good to others, support your own life and work honestly for what you have, be a fighter. Our Gurus taught us that the honest life of a householder is good, not sleeping around or falling into the pit of maya. With naam, a soul who practices truthful living In Practice, is a great soul.

The Devi’s and dark Demi gods had naam, but many used it for evil and remained stuck in the pit of maya. God gave naam/Truth (for the gyan of gurbani applied is also naam) to many teachers but many fell and used it to gain followers, power, women etc for themselves to be worshipped and not for Truth/God to be followed. Many were cowards and ran away in the face of battle when called upon to stand for Truth. Hence a bhagat with naam can easily fall, which is why Gurbani says the path is narrow and sharp as a sword.

Taking the Gurus examples, they lived life in the third energy of earth, they accepted Karam, they accepted life and they appreciated and lived it. They didn’t live in fairyland and practice miracles for all to see and worship them, or sit in a room or on a mountain doing simran all day. They taught people, they fed people, they lived, they built, they fought, they enjoyed life When they could whilst being good souls, they had children.

They taught Truthful Living in Practice, for As Guru Nanak said, Truth is high, But higher still is Truthful living.

Question 10: Sachay Patshah, why do  You throughout the Bani emphasize  only on Nam Bhakti as per means of true devotion?

    Guru Jee:   ਕਹਤੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਨਵੈ ਘਰ ਮੂਸੇ ਦਸਵੈਂ ਤਤੁ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੩॥੨੨॥੭੩॥

Kehath Kabeer Navai Ghar Moosae Dhasavain Thath Samaaee ||3||22||73||

Says Kabeer, the nine openings of the body are being plundered; rise up to the Tenth Gate, and discover the True essence.

Here,  what Guru Jee is trying to tell us, is that, the object of whatever efforts of ours as per means of bhakti, is to take us nearer to the True essence, or essence of Spirituality.

And as seen in His words, He says that, that essence of Truth lies in the Tenth Gate, means above the other nine gates or portals, such as : 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 nostrils, 1 mouth and 2 lower apertures, through which our attention is scattered in the mayavee creation.

So as long our attention does not approach towards  that essence of Truth, which lies above the eyes  at the center of our head, we are much far away from our objective, thus, no matter how many days or hours continously  we remain engaged in those practices, we have not get nearer towards it, not even a fraction of an inch.

For it is only by Nam bhakti that we collect our attention or soul consciousness within and upwards  towards the Tenth Gate, there where lies the True subtle essence of Truth.....

And the more we do that nishkam bhakti with love, the more His blessings upon us, which is nothing but His apaar kirpa,  by which we are cleansed throughly, and become fit to merge and become one with Him.

Manumukhs try all sorts of practices accordingly to please their minds thus they feel they are doing something worthy; but it is only by following Gurmat, which only stresses upon Nam bhakti, for it is only by treading  this path of Nam Bhakti laid by Guru Jee Himself as per means of  true Bhakti, to get closer and become one with Him.

See by yourselves, that by all other practices except Nam bhakti,  we remain scattered in the 9 apertures or gates , thus far away from our goal of Truth,  so, we are not to copy what the world does, and please the world, it is to Him who we have to please, namely Waheguru Akal Purukh, by focussing ourselves on the ever  regular practice of Nam bhakti.

Nam bhakti is called true bhakti, becuase it gets us closer and closer to that Highest Universal unchangeable Truth of Satnam/Wahegru.

    Stay blessed.

    Sat Sree Akal.

True. Along with practicing Gurbani practically to our daily lives, ie Truthful living. No lying, don’t react in anger, lust, ego, the thieves, don’t do nindya, do good for yourself and others etc. Naam is the all pervading Truth, hence when you live in it, you are embracing the entire universe, all we see and all we don’t.

    No one knows His limits.

Naanak Saach Rathae Bisamaadhee Bisam Bheae Gun Gaaeidhaa ||16||3||15||

O Nanak, those who are attuned to the Truth are wonderstruck; singing His Glorious Praises, they are filled with wonder. ||16||3||15||

This passage is extremely profound and holds the key to the Truth. It shows that everything and everyone we see is false images, it’s all just God/Nothing/Truth. It’s simply a khel which the Gurus saw past, they saw the Truth reality. It’s Nothing but True Love, a frequency beyond which the mere mortals can comprehend.

It's been a month now, and I'd like to share some things I noticed because of the advice of the sangat in the hopes that it may help someone who felt like I did at the time of writing the original post

Simran is being aware of waheguru ji that they are here right now and staying in this awareness of truly feeling their presence and remembering their qualities is to do their simran. Through doing the effort of jap, awareness of waheguru ji arises and you begin to feel waheguru ji is here right now.

Or what also works is reading, doing vichar, listening and Singing waheguru ji's praises/qualities.It starts to bring some papi filled guy like me who's totally forgetten waheguru ji into their rememberance and the mind becomes aware of waheguru ji. Listening to the praises of Waheguru while feeling their presence, how could it be that by consciously remembering their praises/qualities that love for waheguru ji won't arise. Remembering Waheguru ji's praises are so great that it will melt this stone heart and love will begin to seap through.Actually the reason it's so hard to feel this love is because there's so much poison within from the sins committed that the mind totally forgets waheguru ji. Without any awareness of waheguru ji's presence how can one expect to feel love. How can you love something you can't even remember. Well, the first step is to begin to remember, through jap and singing praises. Slowly and steadily, singing their praises with their grace, love will sprout and will burn away the weight of many sins from the mind, making it more pure, making it easier to find this love and easier to connect to waheguru ji. In Bani, it is emphasized so much to sing the gun of vaheguru ji and gurbani itself is full of praises of waheguru ji and is the praise of waheguru ji aswell. Every name used for waheguru ji is their quality/praise it's amazing. How do you even begin to remember the infinite one with infinite qualities and infinite praises, the one without any form and yet infinite forms? It's through their praise/gun. There is no beginning or end to their qualities and to their praise but I never understood most of the meanings of these qualities  and virtues in gurbani until I started reading english translations alongside bani. Even if I did,the feeling of presence that waheguru ji is infront me and everywhere wouldnt be there.

I noticed a huge difference especially with Jaap sahib, it is so amazing when you take some time to understand and do vichar of the meaning and it becomes simran. For so long,I'd be just reading nitnem banis without much understanding. Now, I sometimes I feel lightweight when reading bani/gurmantar jap in this way. I also feel something down near the center my chest, like something is going up and down.Any idea of what this might be,should I try doing anything with it or just leave it be and observe next time?Listening to ragis who do kirtan with love like bhai harjinder singh srinagar wale, bhai lakhwinder singh etc helps so much and I notice these things happen more when listening to kirtan and doing vichar of the shabad together.  I also don't feel miserable and frustrated like how I used to feel near the time of writing this post.  Things are better since then thanks to the grace of the sangat.I honestly would've never discovered any of this in the past month without the guidance from sangat here. I am so grateful for this virtual sangat.

Taking this a step further. I experienced this love as the pain and the pleasure. In great pain, I recognized Him. As feeding me that pain out of the purest, most unconditional love for me, his daughter. Paying off my karams as deserved, leading me to discover reality. And I realized that the beauty, just the sukh, isn’t the reality. Love is. Love in Dukh and Sukh. It’s all Him.

    Love is All. He’s All.

Though this is quite an old thread, yet many may have similar doubts.

So in this respect, it could well be said, that everybody knows smoking is injurious to health, yet people do smoke ...

Everybody knows alcohol and drug consumption are also injurious to health, yet people do get into drugs and drinking...

Evrybody knows one should not exceed the speed limits, yet people get fined for it and cause fatal accidents ....

People know, jealousy, hatred, lies, ego, greed, untruthfulness .... are all bad, yet they enjoy  getting dirty in that mud of ignorance and malice ...

So you see, we are who in spite of knowing the rules and regulations, we do break them, so naturally we have to learn to behave, and unless we learn it, nature goes giving us chances upon chances, until we mature, whether by good ways or by the hard ways .

So is the purpose of the cycle of 84, unless we become good human beings in order to evolve spiritually and reach our True Home, we shall keep on stumbling in the mayavee creation.

True. The truth is so simple, but we tend to complicate it.

Thank you Jee, so kind of you.

And also the fact is, I am not teaching anyone anything  for I am not fit for that, but yes that much I can tell you,  I love to share and listen anything which is related to Guru Jee and Waheguru Akal Purukh, for I see all humanity as His jeev atmas, as all carry His Jot, irespective of caste/nationality, color, or creed.

    Stay blessed.

    SSA.

No worries. You are spreading the gyan which is a noble deed in this age for sure. I wish everyone sees that all nationalities and humans are equal. I’m not perfect and have failed in this sense before, but I’ve realised that culture and skin color is an illusion.

    SSA Guest Jee, welcome.

A1) The point between the 2 eyes you mention while doing simran, is the door  which allows us to enter the spiritual realms or dimensions. It is also the gateway to reach our Nijh Ghar, there is a lot into it,  unlimited parkash, unlimited dhun, even Waheguru              can  be met by entering into it, but for that purpose simran is the key.  With simran we get our surtee focused at that point, which is very much necessary to pierce the dark veil when we close our eyes.

And you feeling something while there, is a mark of His apaar kirpa on you, so please continue with this your devotion, it is the least we can do respond to His pull.

A2) Trust Him, if He has allowed you to experience of tasting a sip of that bliss, it means there is much more He wants to give you within, so the best thing is not to analyze, just give your "self" to Him, and He Himself will guide and take you further.                                    Just enjoy while being there and stay focused in your simran;  with due time and grace, the Shabad Guru within, will Himself guide you within and answer your queries if any, for in the presence of the Shabad Guru, all doubts just vanish away.

Trust Him, have faith in Him and love Him, the more simran you do, the more He is pleased, and the more He is pleased, the more He showers His daya meher, and this pleasing Him, is the secret in spirituaility to achieve our goal of merging in Him.

       Stay blessed.

I love your posts. They are so full of love and beautiful words. I can’t believe you’re still teaching after so many years. Very blessed 🙏

As i am also a beginner and i am 26 years old. I am able to experience the sound current and the lights.

But what is after that ?

I agree with the point in the above video that we reach this first stage and stay there for years.

Even for me it is around 1 year 6 months.

So how can we progress further ?

Or it depends on waheguru only and no matter how much efforts we put we will not progress even an inch.

I don't wanna regret at the time when i am gonna be at my deathbed so i am asking these questions.

Looking forward for thoughts and suggestions.

Well there are the lights, the visions, sometimes other powers/siddis. The lights and visions open your mind and serve as a guide in your path. Positive visions can give you comfort that you’re on the right track.

Blind faith after this is great. If you can practice a Truthful living, without needing or desiring the visions etc, and experience life beyond the thieves, it’s something to behold. The path never ends.

Live life free of the thieves, free of the bs. Live and apply Gurbani. And detach and guide and teach others to detach.
