You have both provided inadequate non evidenced based responses. You asked about my background but did not reciprocate the courtesy. You say I sound like someone that was on here before, that makes no difference, if anything it highlights the defensive position you both have taken, perhaps you feel there is no conclusive evidence for your assertions and yoy can't provide robust answers. It's very apparent. By the way, you do know I don't need to assure you of anything, I attempted it out of courtesy. You two definitely don't have the 'mark' of God. I advise you to learn etiquette and avoid clique behaviour.
Pointless forum lacking substance and puts Sikhi in a bad light.

    Sat Sri Akal,
Apologies for the late response and mistakes made in citations. I have been taking the time to observe and reflect on the answers. I am happy to disclose more about me to build bridges but I want to know whether the respondents are Gursikhs, scholars, granthis or brothers in faith on the journey of learning. This is so I can be affirmed that I am getting accurate information.
I would also like to highlight to you that your initial response although not satisfying my direct queries but I appreciate the level of insight, you took the tone of the discourse in a negative light and this changed the cordial and warm welcome you  began with, I invite you to reflect on your behaviour please.
The intention was to see if I would get direct answers to my questions, I'm sure I am not alone in seeking. My background is irrelevant to the discourse as I feel it only creates a bias.
However, since you asked; I live in London, from Indian origin, 3rd generation, born and raised in the UK, visited Gurdwaras growing up but never connected with Sikhi from a religious standpoint; rather socially I.e weddings, kand paths, poag. I have also been on a journey learning about other faiths and traditions to form an unbiased opinion. I have a family and comply with all conventional social norms, I am however seeking a connection to the Akal Purakh. Growing up I have been conditioned with the assertion that all the Guru Ji's are god in one form, and the light travels through them all.
Now, I am not trying to be controversial but this sounds like polytheism, under the disguise of monotheism. My personal view based on logic and reasoning is that if Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji received revelation I want to follow him, not the ten gurus proceeding as great as they are with the utmost reverence I give them. The proceeding gurus did not receive revelation and they attributed to bani, this is not devinely inspired. That's why I only filter bani revealed by Guru Nanak, you can tell me why this may be wrong but my premise is a strong one.
If you could reply to this message and directly answer each query in my previous post, Ideally with extracts from the banis so I can fact check. I would be sincerely greatful to you.
Apologies for any offence caused in advance, I'm not a troll or an individual with insideous intent, I am seeking knowledge.
