  2. I personally find this as simply amazing, and it gives out a clear message that a terrorist who kills innocents has NO religion, and belongs to NO faith group. Forget about 72 virgins and rivers of milk/whine, these guys are not even getting a small amount of dust for their rotten corpses. So much for their so-called "martyrdom".

  6. http://publication.samachar.com/pub_articl...amp;nextIndex=3 WASHINGTON: Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama has extended his greetings to the Sikh community in America on the tercentenary celebrations of consecration of the Guru Granth Sahib. In a letter addressed to the American Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee, Obama also thanked the Sikhs for their efforts to promote cultural diversity. "Throughout the world, Sikh communities are celebrating the tercentenary of the Guruship of Sri Guru Granth Sahib," Senator Obama said. The message has been posted in media websites here. "Sri Guru Granth Sahib is considered the universal spiritual leader and guiding light for the Sikh community. In 1708, Guru Gobind Singh officially ordained Guru Granth Sahib as the final and perpetual Guru of Sikhs. This worldwide celebration will commemorate the 300 years of consecration of Guru Granth Sahib and the anniversary of the accession of Guru Gobind Singh," he wrote. On the occasion, both Sikh and non-Sikh community members will gather to promote and honour the contributions that the Gurus have made to the Sikh community, he added. "I would like to extend my congratulations to the American Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee and thank them for their ongoing efforts to promote cultural diversity and awareness on behalf of the Sikh community," he said.
  7. I had decided not to post any more news about how vanity is prevailing in Orissa, but sorry to YET AGAIN bore all of you with some more unpleasant truth about how humanity is getting raped in the land which was once known as the land of saints. Some of the parts in bold and underline remind me of 1984 and 2002.
  8. Sri Laxman Ji was Sri Ram Chander Ji's younger brother. After Sita Mai was kidnapped by Ravan, she threw her jewelery on the path he took her from, thus leaving behind a trail for Sri Ram Chander Ji. The jewelery included her ear rings, necklace, bangles etc. and aslo the small rings she wore on the fingers in her feet. Sri Ram Chander Ji recognized her jewelery, but Laxman was able to recognize only the rings she wore in her feet, as he never gazed on her above her feet. It has been a well known fact throughout history that Sri Laxman Ji never ever gazed upon any woman above her feet. May Guru Sahib bless all of us with such a high moral character!
  9. http://www.sikhnet.com/inspiration/many-mo...world-can-dream Many more things are wrought by prayer than those of which the world can dream… THE WINTER DAYS were severely cold. In the small dark room in the corner of the house in which she sat, she comforted her brother in her lap. He was severely ill with a lung infection and was unable to speak. He did not let anyone even switch on the lights. For almost three full days, she sat there in the dark, knowing that she had a Physics exam coming up. But nothing could comfort her more than comforting the lovely, miraculous child who was now lying in his sister’s warm lap. The three days passed. It was now the morning of the midterm examination. Her supposed three days of preparation had passed without her having read a single word, but she felt not even a hint of anxiety or fear. Her mind was completely at rest, filled with the peace of knowing that she had done what she really needed to do. In her heart she knew that she had everything to gain and nothing to lose. Her mom arrived home at 8:15 that morning, tired from working a night shift. She handed over her brother to her mom and she hurriedly assembled her things. Without even changing her dress she headed to the porch to get her bicycle for the 40 minute ride to college. As she pulled out the bicycle it rolled heavily....What…A rear tyre was punctured! It was too early for any of the shops to be open yet in such cold weather. The sun still would not rise until past 10:00. Having no choice, she rushed to her friend’s home a seven minute walk away. Although her friend was studying at the same college as she, it was already too late. She had left ten minutes before. She asked her friend’s mom to lend her her bicycle for a day, but she couldn’t find the keys. Walking back home in the chill morning through the deep dark endless river of fog on the lonely street, she noticed that all the shops on both sides of the street wre shut down. There was not a sign of life. The silence was profound. There was no way to reach the auto-stand 15 minutes away by bicycle. Though she knew she would lose a full year by not sitting for the exam, her mind was still at peace. She felt that nothing could shake her. It was a state of grace. She was now halfway home passing through those lonely streets, and she still enjoyed the feeling of having lost nothing. Suddenly a polite and sweet voice came through the morning fog, “Daughter, where do you want to go?†As she turned around, to her surprise she saw a rickshaw stopped beside the curb. She stopped at once feeling a little strange. From where had this man suddenly appeared? She had never seen a rickshaw in that colony, and so early in the morning? Before she could think too much, her eyes caught a glimpse of the rickshaw driver. He was wearing a pearly white robe and had a long white beard which was shining in the faint morning light. A pure white cloth was wrapped on his head. In between his red cheeks crinkled with apparent joy, his heavenly smile was radiant and he seemed surrounded by a bright aura. He looked a completely saintly figure. She had never seen anyone like this before. But now a feeling of insecurity ran across her mind. She didn’t have nearly enough money to pay the driver to take her anywhere near school. She had only 10 dollars and no rickshaw driver would accept that little for such a journey. Despite her insecurity, and knowing that she had no other option at this point, she gathered up her courage and asked softly, “how much?†With a warm smile, the rickshaw man said, “two dollars.†She stood shocked. Was this seemingly saintly man might an immoral person? How could he possibly be asking such a low price? She hesitated, but realizing that this was her only opportunity, she agreed. As she put her foot on the rickshaw, she noticed that it was brand new. It was beautifully decorated with colorful and finely painted flowers and elephants. She had never seen such a wonderful and comfortable rickshaw in her lifetime. As the rickshaw man started riding through the lonely street, she heard him start murmuring something, Again, doubt arose in her and she wondered, “perhaps he is not a good man after all.â€. Sitting quite still on the rickshaw, she just squeezed down her fear for a while. The rickshaw man was driving very fast and in two minutes they were on the main road which was much more secure and well lit. Her fear began to subside. Within less than six minutes, the rickshaw man had taken her to the front of the auto which was preparing to leave for her college. It was the only auto on the well lit road, the formal auto-stand. She stepped down the rickshaw and signaled the auto to stop for her. Averting her eyes, she hurriedly handed her ten dollars to the rickshaw man.. But he waved it away with a smile..The thought came to her that perhaps he did not have any change, since it was so early in the morning. She turned to the auto driver and asked him to change the ten dollar bill so she could give two dollars to the rickshaw man. The driver looked at her very strangely. She realized that everyone in the auto was staring at her as if she were mad. As she turned her head to look back at the rickshaw, there saw nothing but the streetlights reflecting off the shiny black surface of the road. She gazed back as far as she could standing there clutching her money in her hand. Stunned, she faintly realized the driver was speaking to her. â€Are you coming or not?†She turned to the rother riders. “Did you see the rickshaw?†Everyone just stared at her blankly. No one replied. Bewildered, she sat down in the auto and 15 minutes later she was in front of her college and as the bell rang at 9:00 am sharp, she was sitting on her seat in the examination hall. After her examination was over, with six dollars remaining in her pocket, she caught the auto back to the auto stand, and then a rickshaw back to her home where her mother paid the rickshaw driver ten dollars. Her mom served her food and asked her if everything had gone okay. She slowly recounted the whole incident and expressed her regret that the old rickshaw man had not taken even two dollars for his service. She described how, to her surprise, the rickshaw driver had vanished without a word and how the other people in the auto had stared at her so strangely. Her mom chuckled and said. “You know dear, that old rickshaw driver was God himself. That’s why He wasn’t visible to the auto driver and the other people. That’s why they looked at you as if you were mad.†Suddenly she felt a pang of regret in her heart and tears filled her eyes. “Why couldn’t I recognize Him? Oh, my gosh! I even had bad thoughts about Him!†She wondered if He would forgive her. Being a science student, she had never believed the story her mom had told her about her brother’s miraculous birth. Her brother had been born prematurely a month early. His lungs were undeveloped and he could not get enough oxygen. The doctors told her mother that the baby would probably survive only twelve hours or so. As that evening approached, the baby’s toenails began turning blue from lack of oxygen. Crying softly, her mother had watched as the nails of his tiny hands turned blue as well. The life was draining from his weak and forlorn cries signaled his approaching death. His father had left the hospital. He was simply unable to watch his newborn child dying for no apparent reason. Her mom could not help crying and finally she placed her hand on the child’s head and started to pray. Her eyes were shut and she looked as if in a trance. After a half an hour of praying fervently with her whole heart, she told her how she had seen a man with a beautiful white beard, wearing a white robe and a white turban. His eyes sparkled and she saw rays of lights coming from his entire body. He slowly approached, walking between the long lines of beds in the hospital’s birthing ward. He stood beside the child and pointed a finger towards him. Her mother had clearly understood the message,â€Life is given to him by God’s order (Hukam) and his name should be Hukam.†Her mother watched him silently turn and leave the ward. Suddenly one of the nurses shook her mother’s shoulder screaming in joy, “He is coming back to life!†Her mother opened her eyes and saw movement in his tiny. The entire hospital staff gathered to say goodbye to this little one. They were overwhelmed to see this miracle. The most senior doctor, pointed upwards with his index finger and said, “God is great!†Now, for the very first time, she believed that story. She understood that God can come to this earth to help you when you are alone and helpless. She understood that God is not beyond even becoming a rickshaw puller for a poor creatures like me.

  11. http://publication.samachar.com/pub_articl...amp;nextIndex=1 Bhubaneswar: The Orissa government has failed to take any action, under the law of the land, against those who committed bestial crimes — the gang rape of a 28-year-old Catholic nun and the brutal attack on a Catholic priest who courageously resisted their attempts to force him to participate in the atrocity. These incidents took place on August 25 at K. Nuagaon, 12 km from the Baliguda subdivision in Kandhamal district. Both victims filed First Information Reports at the Baliguda police station. Sister Nirmala, Superior-General of the Missionaries of Charity, wrote to the Orissa Chief Minister and the Prime Minister specifying the atrocities. The brutalisation of the nun and the priest by a mob raising anti-Christian, Hindutva slogans took place around 1 p.m. at the site of the Divya Jyothi Pastor Centre. The church was burnt the previous day in reprisal against the murder of an RSS activist, Lakshmanananda Saraswathi, and four of his associates on August 23. The gang rape of the young nun, whose “virginity [was] grossly violated in public†(and whose identity is being withheld by this newspaper to protect her privacy) took place in front of a police outpost with 12 policemen from the Orissa State Armed Police present and watching, according to Father Thomas Chellan, the priest who was dragged out and badly beaten. “Around 1 p.m., a gang came and pulled me and the Sister out of the house where we had taken shelter and started assaulting us,†Father Chellan told The Hindu in a telephonic interview from Kerala where he is recuperating. “My appeals to the policemen who were standing nearby and watching only resulted in further beating. At one point the nun slipped away to plead with the police for help but she was dragged back by the mob and her blouse torn,†he said. The nun was gang raped in a nearby building, and he was doused with kerosene by the mob, which threatened to set him on fire. They were saved by a group of youth who took them to the police outpost where “one among the attackers was present with the police between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m.,†Father Chellan said. News of the K-Nuagaon atrocity was conveyed through mobile phones to several priests and nuns hiding in the forests, fearing for their lives as the anti-Christian hunt was on. The victims were taken to the Baliguda police station around 9 p.m. where they filed First Information Reports. “I believe the Sister wrote in her complaint that she was raped,†Father Chellan said. The atrocity, about which the State government has not gone public, has outraged and terrified Christian organisations working in Kandhamal district. News of it was brought to the notice of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik by Raphael Cheenath, Archbishop of the Cuttack-Bhubaneshwar diocese. Sister Nirmala wrote letters to the Orissa Chief Minister and the Prime Minister on this and other brutal attacks on Christians in Orissa. In her letter, dated August 28, 2008, to Chief Minister Patnaik, she took up “a very sad incident, soon after the eruption of the violence†of “one young sister, consecrated to God, who was administrator of an institute, being hunted out of her hiding place and stripped naked by the mob and her virginity grossly violated in public, without any help from the police present there.†In her appeal for protection to Christians, Sister Nirmala urged the Chief Minister to “ask the Central Govt. for as many extra forces from the Centre as they are willing to give and you need.†When contacted, Praveen Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Kandhamal district, told The Hindu that investigations into the episode by a Deputy Superintendent of Police were on and “the law will take its course.†He confirmed that no arrests have been made in connection with the incidents.
  12. This seems to have become an evil trend. Seriously, is there a huge conspiracy behind all this? Every other day there is a blast somewhere in India or Pakistan. Yes, YET AGAIN !!! http://publication.samachar.com/pub_articl...amp;nextIndex=1 Two blasts in Gujarat, Maharashtra; 6 killed At least four people have been killed and 20 injured in a low-intensity blast in Malegaon in Maharashtra on Monday night. The crude bomb that went off was placed on a two-wheeler. Blast took place when people were shopping for Ramzan. The situation was tense around Malegaon after the blast and police had to fire in the air to control the situation. Meanwhile, two were killed and ten people were injured in an explosion in Modassa town of Gujarat's Sabarkantha district, officials said. "There has been an explosion in Modasa town but we are yet to confirm how it took place. The bomb and dog squads have been rushed to the site," District Superintendent of Police R B Bhrambhatt said. "Bomb was planted on a two-wheeler and timer device was used to trigger the explosion," he added. Bhrambhatt also said that the blast took place in a minority-dominated locality. The injured were being transferred to the nearby hospitals, police said. Union Home ministry officials are in touch with senior officials in Gujarat government. Gujarat Home Minister Amit Shah told NDTV that there has been no prior intelligence about blast. The low-intensity blast resembled the explosion Mehrauli locality in south Delhi witnessed on Saturday last, officials said. Earlier, seventeen crude bombs were found on Monday near the Kalupurdarvaja of the city, police said. The bombs found were not sophisticated devices but crude explosives, police said. Further investigations are on, police said.
  13. http://publication.samachar.com/pub_articl...amp;nextIndex=1 At least one child was killed and 23 people were injured as a bomb exploded in south Delhi on Saturday. The incident, which came barely a fortnight after serial blasts rocked Delhi, occurred around 2.15 pm (IST) near a flower market in Mehrauli, close to the historic Qutub Minar. Seventeen people were brought to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) after the blast. Among them, 11 were men and 3 women. A 13-year-old boy was brought dead to AIIMS Trauma Centre. The condition of 7 was critical, a hospital statement said. Eyewitnesses told NDTV that two men riding a bike dropped a bag on the road, which was picked up by an unsuspecting little girl, who passed it on to a 10-year-old boy. Soon after, an explosion occurred, killing the boy on the spot. A small crater was formed due to the effect of the blast. Forensic experts of the NSG bomb data squad, who visited the spot, said they found nails sharpened on both sides from the site. The news of the blast sent ripples across the city. Fire engines and ambulances were rushed to the spot and police cordoned off the area around the blast site. The Greater Kailash-I market in south Delhi, which was hit by blasts a fortnight ago, was evacuated as a safety precaution.

  15. http://publication.samachar.com/pub_articl...al.samachar.com Islamabad: At least 60 people, including some foreigners, were killed and about 120 injured in a suicide attack at a luxury hotel in the high security zone around the parliament building here Saturday. Orange flames and thick smoke billowed out of the Marriott Hotel, which turned into a blazing inferno as police, ambulances and rescue workers raced to the spot to tend to the injured. The authorities feared that the toll could rise as the blast, caused by an explosives-laden truck crashing into the hotel, left a 20-foot deep crater at its entrance. There was speculation that the hotel, a landmark building that is the preferred destination of visiting diplomats and businessmen, could collapse. Twisted and mangled remains of a number of vehicles littered the hotel's car park. The hotel is located near a number of high security buildings, including the Presidential Palace, the Prime Minister House, parliament and the Supreme Court. "The fire has engulfed the whole hotel and people are being rescued," advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior Affairs Rehman Malik, who reached the spot after the blast, said. Initial reports said that a truck loaded with explosives hit the outer wall of the hotel, which soon went up in flames. Security officials said that several people who were residing in the hotel were still trapped inside and efforts were being made to rescue them. Hospital sources said that they had received about 40 bodies and more than 100 injured. However, eyewitnesses said that the number of dead was more than 60 and more than 120 have been injured. Police sources said that the dead include three Koreans, two Saudis and one American. Among the injured are some foreigners, including some Americans who were shifted to the hospital inside the US Embassy. Unconfirmed reports also said that a senior US security official was among the injured. Eyewitnesses said that the explosives-laden truck, bearing government number plates, was stopped at the hotel entrance for a security check. "As the security people were looking into the truck, it swiftly moved away and hit the outer wall of the hotel, causing a huge explosion," an eyewitness said. The blast also caused the main gas pipeline outside the hotel to explode, adding to the mayhem. Sources said that at least 300 people were dining in the hotel when the blast took place. Being the fasting month of Ramadan, people dine immediately after the sunset, which was at 7:12 pm on Saturday and the blast took place at 7:56 pm. The blast occurred about four hours after President Asif Ali Zardari addressed a joint sitting of both houses of parliament, during which he called for joint efforts to deal with terrorism and extremism. The impact of the blast was so severe that its reverberations were heard in a 15 kilometre area and many Islamabad residents thought an earthquake had struck. The windows of nearby buildings, including that of Pakistan Television, were shattered. An emergency was declared in Islamabad hospitals as they braced to receive the injured and the bodies of those killed. Advisor Malik condemned the attack and said that whoever was behind the blast "can't be friends of Islam or friends of this country". Lamented Marriott Hotel owner Sadruddin Hashwani: "I don't have any enemies...these must be enemies of Pakistan. This is a huge loss to the country, to humanity," he told reporters outside the building.

  17. http://publication.samachar.com/pub_articl...al.samachar.com Free lessons on Internet on bomb making Thursday, 18 September , 2008, 12:46 New Delhi: As security officials scramble to find clues to contain terror activities in India, scores of websites are teaching how to make bombs - from hand grenades to pipe bombs - all for free, say experts. From descriptive videos that go on from two minutes to 30, to scientific programmes to explanatory texts on how to make bombs, all this and a lot more is available in cyber space. One website mentions that hand grenade can be made from iron pipes and plastic explosives; plus, propellant from small arms or shot gun ammunition can be used for deadly attacks. The website, while giving the due procedure to make bombs, advocates the use of various lengths of fuse wires to detonate a bomb. It describes the length and diameter of iron rods required and easily available chemicals. Another website gives a two-minute video show where a young boy demonstrates how to make bombs in five steps. Again another site has a menu showing what you need to purchase from the nearby market to give final touches to a sinister design. It has given a list of chemicals and other materials like potassium chlorate, sodium bicarbonate, ammonium nitrate, tiny iron balls, screws and shrapnel to make the explosive more lethal. "The virtual world is so vast that it is almost impossible to curb such websites. When people are motivated to kill others no one can stop them. These are not good human beings like you and me," said Sankaran Nampoothiri, an expert on cyber security. "There are over one billion blogs and three billion websites. How will you monitor them? Terrorists and other anti-social elements always have a back-up to propagate such deadly things," Nampoothiri told IANS from Chennai. Senior Delhi Police officials said it is almost impossible to control the mushrooming websites, which spread hatred, fear, and panic. "If you block one site, these people can open some other. You can put a gag on a credible organisation, but it's nearly impossible to do so on every such site," said a police official. "We cannot do anything, but it's up to the IT ministry to take action against such websites," said the official requesting anonymity. "I believe such websites are a threat to mankind. While Internet is doing a lot of good work, this is the flip side to it. Fanatics are making use of it for wrong reasons," said Subhra Roy, a social activist, who was fortunate enough to leave Barakhamba crossing in New Delhi's downtown Connaught Place minutes before a blast took place Saturday. "I was standing very close to the blast spot but was fortunate to leave the place minutes before. It's shocking," Roy added. On Saturday evening, five synchronised terror blasts in busy market places shook the national capital, killing at least 23 people and injuring nearly 100.
  18. The Delhi blasts are the hottest news right now. Who could you believe to be supporting/helping/aiding these demons? Politicians? Ofcourse! Fanatics? You bet! Any other guesses? Ready for a surprise? THE MEDIA !!!!!!!! Check it out... http://publication.samachar.com/pub_articl...ww.samachar.com Indian Mujahideen’s suspected mastermind Abdus Subhan Qureshi, who is believed to have authored the five terror e-mails sent to the media before or after five terror attacks in the past 10 months, might have earned a grudging acknowledgement as an effective prose communicator, but he is apparently not shy of plagiarising either. Senior Intelligence Bureau officers involved in the task of analysing the IM’s Saturday e-mail have stumbled upon a surprising fact: Qureshi, the suspected author of the e-mail, had used paragraphs that were plagiarised — at times word-by-word — from an article published a over a week ago on a popular website, www.thehoot.org, which reviews media across the subcontinent. It has led the IB to suspect that “Qureshi might have ‘friends/contacts’ in the media who have been helping him to compose his terror rhetoric as contained in the e-mails since the website is usually only accessed by media professionals and not the laymen. Such a man could have told him about this website’s article for use,†said an IB officer. Several state anti-terror agencies, on cue from the IB, are currently involved in attempting to zero in on the suspected “media contacts†of Qureshi, if any. They already have a few suspects in the scanner, including a man working in the electronic media. Investigators also suspect that Qureshi might be taking help from others to compose e-mails that have increasingly been using impeccable English — with few or no grammatical, punctuation errors. The ‘plagiarised’ article had appeared titled ‘Bombs defused in newsrooms’ on September 5 on the website. HT tried to speak to Sevanti Ninan, who runs the website, but she was not in the city and her cellphone was not reachable.

  20. http://publication.samachar.com/pub_articl...om/mostread.php An Army court martial has found Major General A K Lal guilty of sexually harassing a lady captain. His dismissal is subject to confirmation by the Army HQ and the Ministry of Defence. Major General Lal was heading the Leh-based 3 Infantry division last year when a lady captain complained against him. The General was immediately removed from his post and kept confined to Army formations first at Srinagar and then at Bhatinda in Punjab. The court martial took less than a year to hand out the verdict. The court martial proceedings against Lal were concluded at the Bhatinda-based 10 corps on Saturday.
  21. "unbreakable" veerji, in fact that is the first thing that the police does right after a terror attack. All foreign lines are disabled to avoid any further communication between potential terrorists. It is highly likely that your conversation was disrupted only minutes after it happened. This is done to avoid any chances of terrorists getting further "orders" to carry out further attacks.
  22. http://publication.samachar.com/pub_articl...ral%20&more Terror struck the national capital this evening leaving at least eighteen people killed and over 90 injured in six near simultaneous blasts in a span of 17 minutes in three crowded market places. Indian Mujahideen, shadow amalgam of banned SIMI and Lashker-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the serial blasts through an email sent to news organisations at almost same time when the blasts took place. The first explosion rocked Gaffar market area of Karol Bagh in Central Delhi at 6.15 PM. The explosive was kept near a Maruti car. The impact of the blast was so severe that an auto was thrown up several feet. This was followed by three blasts in Connaught Place area and two in Greater Kailash in South Delhi. An unexploded explosive device was found at India Gate. In Barakhamba Road, one of the bombs was suspected to be placed near Nirmal tower. The second blast in the CP took place near Gopal Das Bhavan. Both the buildings house private offices and banks. The third blast took place in central park. In the GK-I blast, more than a dozen people were injured and ten shops were damaged in the explosion that took place at around 6:40 pm. The bombs were hidden in a dust bin. Prelimnary examination of the blast site said that low intensity ammonium nitrate tied to integrated circuit had been used in almost all the serial blasts in the nation Capital. Two persons have been detained by the police for questioning.
