ideal paaji...the reason we ie a joora on our heads is to protect our dasam duaar...plus a singh (kaur too, but sum ppl r gonna argue) should have his head covered with a keski (regardless of wether you believe it is kakaar) therefore these pony tail style hair styles cant be accepted.... and why do you always put outside sikhs down....when do sikhs from abroad let down their hair!! if im not mistaken the famous so called 'sikh', sukhbir(indian pop star) keeps his hair down? and wheres he from??? INDIA!!

i dont know bout ne1 else.... but ive been to delhi...ive been to punjab.... and these claims of sikhi being good in delhi isnt entirely accurate?? i used 2 walk round in my dumalla and daree kulhee.... the forst thing my dads friends said to me was to wear a smarter pugh and tie my dari, as it presented the wrong image?!? but then again thats only one person and shouldnt represent everyone... but nearly every "sikh" we met there drank....im not sayin punjab was any better....but personally i dont see how sikhi is anything in india now.... i might be wrong...but ive been india about 5/6 times in recent years, even staying there for about 2 months...(came back black but koi na!) and ideal singh...practice what you preach.dont knock southall b4 u even seen it... the gurdwara is recent....but the quality of sangat that is found here is not!! i believe it was sant baba mann singh ji who said that the singhs living in southall must have done some great kamaee for them to be given as brilliant sangat as can be enjoyed here!!

Amardeep Veeji.... your dastar should not be worn like a hat! it should be retied everytime you wear it....there is rehitnamas telling us of this... starch paghs not only look incredibly stupid....but are against sikhi! why dont you just wear a hat?

aside from what taksal say....nihungs say...or any other so called sampradama (no offense in that) wat do u believe about guru gobind singh ji?? would he write about the wiles of women... im gonna be honest....i havnt read it... but this is to narsingha, neo lalleshwari and anyone else who jumped on the sampradama bandwagon.... why would guru gobind singh ji write about the wiles of women... and dont say taksal believe in it or nihungs...you have a dimaag for yoursleves so id appreciate your views... first off id like to say that my view is that dasam granth is bani...BUT i havnt read it all of it...and therefore will hold that viewpoint until significant evidence against it is presented to me.... bhull chuk khimma

thats a very good response..but what did the old have to do with it(sorry that genuinely through me off), but the story was touching. veerji i was not implying it to be a serious problem...just one that should be thought about... and i agree there are a great number of other factors which are hugely worrying to the panth... i just thought itd be sad to see the tradition of larivaar saroop and of singhs being able to read it dying out... either way id like to thank you for sharing your view.. i dont know how others were given it,... but the method i think taksal give is not the same as naam dhridh... amrit is a special experience.... a few of my friends took amrit from sant baba mann singhs jatha... when they were given amrit there were like a hundred ppl in the room...and they described it as being in an amrit factory... sometimes i feel amrit is given too readily...ppl need 2 be willing to give their head to guru ji!

Currently in probably 90% of gurdwareh and houses throughout the world our eternal Guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib is not in its original form, and i dont mean by raagmala or any other argument people have cretated... Im talking about Lareevaar Saroop of our Guru...for thoise that dont know this it is the oiginal way our Guru Ji was written...with all the words joined together... nowadays out of mans convenience padchedd saroop(with akhars seperated) are now in great majority?? numerous gursikhs have stressed the importance of now changing the form of the bani given to us?? the interpretation of the padchedd saroop is done by man...and if guru ji wanted it to be done in that way would he not have written it out in padchedd?? if that is the case then why dont all gurdwareh adopt lariwaar saroop, or at least make an effort to teaching it so that this tradition does not die out. do you think this is rite?? n plz no comments on being talibanistic or anything...im looking for educated responses with knowledge of this topic..
