i agree, they are not mythological and do exist, and are in constant service of Waheguru.

I believe that Gurbani says that 'Gurmukh is the most excellent way' because it is only through human birth that normal souls can actually merge with Waheguru, I remember hearing that even the Devi and Devte wish they could have human birth to have the chance.

Its mentioned in Jap Ji Sahib too :

Ik sansaari, ik bhandaari, ik lae di ban

Jiv tis bhavai tivai chalave jiv hovai phurman

Oh vekhai ona nadar na hovai

A lot of these missionary miracles have been proved as fake on tv. Even Sai Baba was caught on tape faking miracles in "Guru Busters" I believe.

Miracles do happen but I think the cases are rare.

what Sai Baba does is Riddhi Siddhi, and I wouldnt be surprised at all if it was real.

Maharaji said that bani is kuchee withot the Guru. Baba Ranjit Singh is praising the Guru, so the Bani is not kuchee. Sayin that dharnas are kuchee is like saying that what Bhai Gurdas Ji wrote is kuchee bani. if you love Guru ji and praise them in your own words I highly doubt that they will be annoyed.

you have sufficient intelligence to see whether what he says is right or wrong, pro or anti Guru Sahib.

none of us who are not Brahmgiani can really comment on whether he is a Sant or not, jus go do simran bhakti till you have the necessary avastha, then you can talk.

i find it strange how people who denounce all sants also believe that they can merge with Maharaji, but reject the idea that it has happened to anyone else.

The title of your pic says it all, the Indian government has no jusrusdiction over Harmandir Sahib, who are they to make any plans for it.

Itll be classed as an Indian cultural site if this goes through, and they will get funds and expertise for maintenance etc whereas this should be done via seva not financial grants. read the link mate

Did I miss those pages of Sri Guru Granth Sahib? Maybe the English translation I have isn't very good. :wink:

like i said there is technique to everything. if you dont wanna do it then dont. I prefer to listen to Mahapursh who by looking at you know that you didnt use a jot for your mornin paat, (yess this has happend) and like challenge everything said, Guru Granth Sahib Ji doesnt say much about maryada and technique. maybe the english translation isnt good, coz i remember when it (the kyoo thing) was explained to us, a quote was used.

And I used to use english translations too, once i started understanding the Gurmukhi script I can honestly say that the english translations goin around can be quite misleading - no translation is perfect, and with Gurbani these difference are much more important - many english words that arent usually associated with the corresponding Gurmukhi are used, and misunderstood till you learn to understand. So maybe yea, the translation you have isnt good.
