if sum1 chooses not to bleive in dasam granth, it upto them but there is a time and place for everyting. now at lot of people who witnessed this, will have this scene in their minds a lot longer than the actual porograme itself.

Good God Bahadur, so duz the muslims and cristians as well. But if we wre to look at percentages and compare between Sikhs and MUslims/christians , then we wud see a different story.

i dont know why you keep banging on about things in Sikhi that have been pre-ordained in other religions. No-one says that Sikhi is 100 % new. Next you will say that cos we belive in 1 God, that we have borrowed that from another religion as well. Cos there are many religions before Sikhi that worshipped only 1 God.

you say very rightly, that there are charities who will help without looking to convert, and in the same breath say any starnger entering a langar will be given a lecture on sikh generosity.

Just as some haev generalised good charites into having ulterior motives, you have generalised about sikhs and langar. at my local gurdwara , We have non-sikhs who come very regualalry to eat langar. They dont ever come into darbar or anything, or know what langar -/sikhi is about. I have never seenheard of anyone approach them to "save them".

I wish you would quit with your genealissations about the sikhs, cos i bet that as a muslim, you must get a lot yourslef and you will (hopefully) agree it just comes down to ignorance, or stupidity.

talking about gold inthe gurdwara or to help the needy, we only have to look at the example set us by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, in Sacha Sauda. I personally dont beleive in buildsing fancy gurdwearas when people are starving, and i made this point to the singhs who wre collecting funds for re-building of damdama sahib from the nanak nishkam seveak jatha uk. that soho rd wale if you dont know.

i asked them what use is a building when there are many poor sikligars in india not to mention other nonsikhs who live in india, in abject poverty, which unless by a stroke of extremely good fortune they will pass onto their children?

what would Guru Nanak do in this situation? They were only innerested in collecting money to do sewa at damdama sahib and et all the credit and recognition for doin the sewa.

The guy even said to me that the sgpc do not have the funds to cover this sewa. i told them to piss off, and i wasnt gona give anything. they really made me angry.

i rememer having a debate wiv an indian about india's space prog. he was like, yeah man we gona do this and that and tin, and when i asked him weva the money would be better spent on the millions of people who live below tha poverty line, he was like ermmmm.

no point in going into space when your own people dont live properly.

i have just been looking at this page. it says that Jarnail Singh of samprda Bhindra is a veggie fanatic. I dont fink this is true. I have never heard him saying ever anything against jhatka. can anyone confirm this ?

you shud really try to find like minded individuals in the community and try and push a new program tothe younger sikhs. it will not haappen over night, as wiv sikhi.
