in the 15 vol katha of Aad Guru Granth Sahib Sant Gurbachan Singh ji that has come into my posssession, i have listened to the pangati that i started this topic about way back in 2007.

Sant Ji gives exactly the same meaning as i read in a steek. However in the recording he goes further on to say that the man who drinks alcohol is a "kanjar".

inmy lifetime i have heard from 2 people why they became Sikhs. their path to sikhi is amazing as you will all agree!

Sikh 1 : i used to be a radhaswami, but i wanted to drink(alcohol) so i gave it up and became a Sikh.

Sikh 2 : i used to be a namdhari, but wanted to trim my beard so i became a Sikh.

the only way we coud know his spiritual status is by being with him. then we would get an idea but an idea only. i think the appeal with him is his young aage, but for his detractors its a weapon to use against him.

anyway he has brought more people to sikhi than i could in many lifetimes so i appluad him. Im sure that Guru Gobind Singh would prob feel the same.

mit may i suggest something? plz hold you physical rehat(bana) in equilibrium with your spritiualk rehat(bani). Bana and Bani go together and in Suraj Parkash it is written thatthey are the 2 wings that make a sikh ascend to sachkhand.

my only advice is that as you are "pakka" in your bani recitation, plz be just as "pakka" when it comes to keeping your kes and darra intact.

MDS, thats a very good post. i dont think that silence or me for that matter is saying that the Nihangs or any sikhs should forget ANY bani.

why wud a singh need the yoginis and female magical entities that accompany the goddes Kali or Durga, when they already have the "chandi " in thier hands, the Bhagauti, Sri Sahib etc.

as for Nihang Singhs why want these shakti's when they have the army of the Shaheed Singhs and 96 million strong army?

32 japs of brahm kavach and the enemy could have his weapon on your head by the time syou have done 3 or 4 repetitions whereas "chandi" only takes a second to invoke. which one would you choose?

amardeep its very simple. avtars can be worshipped as an aspect of God as they were created by God. But then again so was the Sun, and we know the story of Guru Ji at Hardwar. There are mnay countless other sakhis where Guru has said that Akal Purkh alone is to be worshipped, not the Illusion which hew has created.

so to me its very simple.

are you a hindu by birth? i dont think there is anything wrong in "mixing" the two if youre a sehajdhari sikh.

i do think Shivji is a manifestation of the Lord as is Guru Nanak, Krishna, Ram, Guru Gobind Singh etc

shahbaz khalsa have been there but the place is controlled by the dsgpc and so there was only little they cud do, ie move guru saroop to beter environment. but how long has this been going on?

what can we do to really have an effect on it. the saroop with no ramalla , chanani was particurlalry shocking.

mks, the dsgpc is same as sgpc in controling all sikh instituuions in dlehi state. the curent presidnt sarna is an opponoent of badal and anti sgpc. his mission seems to be to oppose badal whethe right or wrong.

pw rarely brings us news of any quality , usally its anti-sant venom is the only thing its known for.
