  1. Gyani Manjit Singh Damdami Taksal had completed his katha of Sri Gur Panth Parkash. It is available on gurmatveechar to listen/download.

After listening to the whole katha of Sri Gur Panth Parkash over the last year, I felt it should be compulsory katha in Gurdwaras. It is an excellent tool to teach youngster about Sikh history and to develop love and sacrifice for the Panth.

Lucky, sat, chatanga, soulfinder, harsharan, dalsingh, jageera sukhpreet and all veer and bheenji, please post more often,

Will do. Regarding Sri CharitroPakhyan Granth series, at the moment it feels like I'm having a conversation with myself. I just have been a little busy lately, and a little demotivated to be honest. Too much agianta flying around on social media.

Hey Soulfinder and chatanga1, than you so much for your replies.

Here in SA, there is one Langar hall with chairs and tables. However, it is shocking to hear that shoes are allowed in some Langar halls. Also, thank you so much for the video Soulfinder.

    What or where is SA?

Shoes in the langar hall are usually where there are only tables and chairs. I have only seen some ramgarhia gurdwaras in the UK that still only have tables and chairs. Whereas most Gurdwaras have provisions for both.

Why have they turned against Sikhs.  Sikh help everyone and are very small group in Afghanistan hardly a thousand people and they still can't live in peace.  It's a shame the Afghanistan people can't accommodate such a small group.

The Sikhs are a strong financial community there but a weak physical community. They do not have the resolve to defend themselves, so are easy targets.

Have the Nihang Singhs been made aware of this they are Guru ki Fauj.  They have been around for hundreds of years.  They can solve this problem.

I think you are overestimating the capabilities of the Nihangs if you think they can take on any faction of the Afghan militias. Big or small.

    Waheguru Ji

Why are the Afghan people not standing up and protesting the ethnic cleansing of Hindus and Sikhs going on.  If it was the reversed this would become international news.

Once the Sikhs and Hindus are gone all gurdwaras and temples will be destroyed, just like its happening in Pakistan where so many gurdwaras and temples have been destroyed.  There was even attack on gurdwara nanakana sahib recently.

Why are international organizations silent on ethnic cleansing of hindus and sikhs in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

I think it is because most international orgs know that there is little they can do. Even the general public of Afghanistan have turned against the Sikhs and HIndus over the last 25 years. If US could not destroy the Taliban with all their firepower, international orgs know there is nothing more they can do.

  6. Neo, I like that there are many sections and sub-sections to this forum. It kind of divides everything up neatly. I do think that a separate sub-section be made for Sri CharitroPakhyan Granth research in Dasam Granth section as it takes up a lot of the forum.

It's a shame that progress on Sri CharitroPakhyan Granth has come to an almost standstill. When Paapiman was here, there were two of us to keep things going but he has disappeared for almost 2 years now. I just got some things going on with family and such that doesn't give me much time any more. I hope that by the end of this year we might get to charitar 200. That would be a really impressive step the way we are going.

If you are living in a nation and you need outsiders to tell that you are oppressed then that is not oppression but brainwashing.

So because we are outsiders we have no voice, no opinion? Well why are you posting this drivel on an international forum? Why not just post it in India and discuss it between yourselves?

Please tell me these things don't happen in Punjab. I am sure you heard about Bant Singh

Exactly. So you have proved yourself to be an ignorant person yet again by trying to insinuate that muslims and only muslims do these crimes. The "future" of this terrorist state of india.

As far UP Sikh farmers are concerned that is unfortunate incident. But please tell me what makes you think that was a communal issue.

Why should I tell you? I'm an outsider so have no opinion of value to you. You keep kissing hindutva batty.

For my fellow forum members though, who have an ounce of dignity and beleive in justice, you can read about this situation yourselves. And it didn't only occur in UP, it has happened in Gujarat and Madhya Pardesh.

"Unfortunate incident"? See how this person describes it? Generations of families farming land and then suddenly are forced to vacate it without any explanation or appeal.

118th Parable of Auspicious Chritars Conversation of the Raja and the Minister, Completed With Benediction.(118)(2307)

  9. The main aspect of this story to me is Jujaat's impatience. He has been given a method to obtain Sati as his wife but the method is long-drawn and timely. He simply cannot wait to reach Sati that he commits a sin by striking a Rikhi - a holy man. Forgetting that these Rikhis have the power to give boons but also curses.

The other thing tha stood out was that Jujaat had already been made Indar Raaj - God of swarag. This should have been more of a acquisition than the consort of Indar Dev. Instead of thinking about the huge blessing, and responsibility conferred on him, he got caught in the lesser tangles of Sati.

With a war raging between the devtas and raskhsas, the disappearance of Indar Dev, what should Jujaat have been focusing on?
