  2. why do the paintings / portraits from that time all look the same to me ? same pointed beard, long eyebrows , sharp elongated long nose, similar beard and moustache style and length , similar eyes, skinny arms and small hands... 1 dimensional body and same sagittal pose... maybe something is wrong with my eyes or maybe this was just a prevalent style during that era.

check out the portrait of aurangzeb

i wish some of the more realism painters from the west had gotten the chance to draw a true depictive portrait of Guru Jis, but obviously they did not have the karma to get the darshan.

wt my take home message is if a sikh truly has the desire to get darshan of guru ji then he has to work hard and strive for it, no one is going to take a photograph and say here you go son , have darshan. its a tough game but gotta play it regardless.

  3. Can you please ask him about a Chakravarti Mahapurash who might get pargat in between 2010-2012 ?

Can you also ask him if the effect of getting up at 12 AM and staying awake from 11 AM- 4 AM is the same, especially for students who are staying up until 4 am ?

How can one convert the process of Academic Study into a meditative process ? especially students who are studying medicine.

    Thanks a lot bhaji

  4. Dhan Dhan Baba Nand Singh Ji used to say that a person who has elder parents in his home does not need to go anywhere. If you go on looking for brahmgyani sants , you will only be disappointed. These gems are rare and you cannot find them just anywhere by going to various deras. Hold your horses for now. Go to India for a while , not on a permanent basis. Do lots of Sukhmani Sahib and pray to Guru Ji that he sends a Brahmgyani Mahapurash to you. You do not have to go anywhere... just give it some time and think about it. Don't rush just yet.

Doing seva of parents is one of the greatest bhagtis. Unless you have reached a very high avastha where you cannot live without meeting God even for a second , you cannot sleep 24/7, and you cannot eat or drink , it is advisable not to leave your family just like that.

True mahapurash are rare to find, you need lots of bhagti for that and keep doing ardass in charan kamal of Guru ji.

  5. Anti sikh elements are doing amrit sanchar with two banis. One such group was detected at kanpur.

The case is with Akal takhat sahib.

    Please see

I can only think of a sanskrit shalok right now " vinash kale veepreet buddhi"

when someone's bad time is about to come their intelligence is lost, same thing is happening with people who are doing these manmat activities , their end is near.

  6. Pakistan can hit anywhere in India. It makes sense to have the supplies where they can get to the troops. I remember being told when i was a kid by some old singh in my local gurudwara that during one war between india/pak, the indian prime minister told the army to fall back to a position behind amritsar, but the sikh army commandeer refused and demanded he get the order in writing. The Sikh Regiment/Punjab Regiment ended up pushing the pakis back so thank god it didnt come to that. Not sure if the old singh was entirely accurate about the story as he didnt tell me which one of the wars its was. Without an arms industry in the punjab, we rely solely on the indian army. If they lose or sod off, the sikh nation would not be able to resist pakistani occupation. That alone is a reason there needs to be some kind of modern arms industry there, even if it is just personal weapons rather than anything like fighter jets, tanks etc.

i have heard a similar anecdote, the army in the front was madrasis or south indians , they fell back , but yea these sikh troops decided to keep fighting and they refused to fall back, i think it ws 1971 war , i have frgotten all the details

maybe someone can shed some more light ...

  7. How is baba bucho wala linked to Nanaksar? according to official Nanaksar website: a sikh saint called Baba Nand Singh of Kaleran started this Dera?

Also at dera rara sahib the maryada is virtually copied from dera Nanaksar.

Saints are like Melons , they might appear different pieces from outside but inside they are the same. Thats hows they are all related.

To be more technical, Baba Maha Harnam Singh Ji Bhucho Kala vere Gurdev of Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj, thats how Bhucho and Nanaksar is related.

  8. Its very surprising that I just asked this question an hour ago to a chardikala mahapurakh. He said that bad things will happen but only in a limited space but there are many mahapurakhs on this earth who can lessen the effects of disaster.

Also this mahapurakh me about coming back of Baba Ishar Singh Kaleran wale in forthcoming years, even he doesnt know when he will come back but he will for sure.
