  1. Yes , there is no single head of Nanaksar right now after Sant Ishar Singh Ji.

All the mahapurakhs were given separate responsibilities to take care of.

Nevertheless the Mahapurash in the past and present have intense kamais.

Just like a Gardener can grow different flowers with different fragrances , similarly you can say different sewadars were or are flowers cultivated by Sant Ishar Singh ji. It is not upto us to judge who has more kamai or who is at what avastha.

And the story about Baba Gurdev ji is a false propaganda done by his sewaks , this was confirmed by a sewadar of Sant Ishar Singh ji himself in my presence.

  2. In Iran it's referred to as khatneh and in Arabic khitan. Shaheediyan's observation is correct, I had forgotten to add it. Needless to remind you that khatneh is taboo for you Sikhs.

yup , a big one too.

This reminds me of an incident. Once a raag singh brought a bunch of granths to Sant Ishar Singh Kaleran wale and asked Him to read them. Baba Ji jokingly replied that raagan sian dhyaan naal je ant wele surti muhammad saheb de granthan vich rehgi taan sunnat karaoni pai ju. Asin taan usde granth parde haan jisde (guru nanak) dar utte lakhan muhammad chukde hun."( Beware raagi singh, if at your end time your consciousness remains in Prophet Muhammad's literature you will have to get circumcision done. I only read literature of Guru Nanak at whose door millions Muhammads salute)

Obviously, there is a hidden message in this anecdote. As Bhai Gurdas ji have explained if a calf leaves his mother and go look for milk elsewhere he will only get shittar.

Since no one is greater than Guru Nanak we sikhs will only get shittar if we go elsewhere .

And also nothing wrong with increasing your knowledge about other dharams as long as we don't deviate from our own path.

  3. First of all , no malicious intentions here.

Just a simple question out of curiosity :

Do all sects of Islam practice sunnat ? Which ones do and which ones don't ?

If someone wants to convert to Islam does he has to get it done too?

What does it symbolize ? And who was the first person to get it done ?

Are the females exempt from this practice ?

    Thank You

  4. So what if the AKJ tunes are entertaining ?

so what if they AKJ sing only those shabads that are entertaining ?

We gotta chill and have some fun ..thats what our mind wants to have fun

if we are not entertained by keertan we will resort to other sources such as songs and movies ...

we all haven't reached that avastha where we can all get the rass from nirol gurbani in one day , so we gotta relax a bit ,

we r too uptight abt certain things

  5. you know there are million theories out there that can explain the coming of Guru Nanak Dev ji and they are true too.

But you know what , the best answer I like is by a brahmgyani pooran sant who reached those levels where no one can think of reaching

Baba Nand Singh ji used to say "Rabb noo ichha hoi apna darshan karan di "

God wished to have his own darshan of his sargun saroop.

And thats Guru Nanak who has gone nowhere but just disappeared from our worldy eyes. Just like not everyone can see God we can't see Guru Nanak unless we have the eyes

    That is my understanding :)

  6. The question I am about to ask is very senseless. Because no one can know what I am asking except God himself.

If we assume that time works in cycles satyug, dvapar , treta , kalyug.

And from gurbani and dasam bani we know that millions of ramchandra, krishan , ashvini kumars et etc have come and gone , that leads us to believe that since ram krishan were in different yugas , these yugas might have been repeated many times like millions

if we assume the time to be cyclical , that means kalyugs must have been repeated too

now my Question is this Since we all know that Kalyug is under Guru Nanak Dev ji's control or pehra or supervision , do u think Guru Nanak came a million times too ? my intuition tells me that this is not the case , Guru Nanak has come this time and wont be gone because who can end God himself right .

And since Guru Granth Sahib is jugo jug attal there will be no destruction of the universe ? because who can destroy the Gurbani right ?

sorry for throwing out random and out of order ideas out there , this is senseless topic because we cannot know the working of God. ignore if you dont like it

and ADVANCED BEST WISHES TO ALL ON GURU NANAK DEV JIs APPEARANCE ON THIS EARTH !!!

  7. The sppols are in such a bad state that the audiable katha is already available. The Dasam Granth Katha was destroyed by the polic in 1984 at Mehta which was recorded by Sant Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji

why do the best things all have to get destroyed ? just like the vast amount of literature written by Baapu ji never really reached us , and the ones that we have are full of controversies

  8. the guy who got beaten up was ditstributing anti dasam granth leaflets in the parkarma of HAzoor sahib. THE other Person who had an altercation when the tilak was going on was because he picked a fight with a person who was standing right in fromt of him and this person asked him to move behind and they had a fight and so on.... and when he coudnt get in the front he started abusing the hazoori singhs for not letting hin come in front and out of frustation maybe he said somehting against athe thakat maryada and he got slightly roughed up after pleading to him to like a million tiimes not to rake up a issue there when the tilak is going on... he was first politly asked to meet the panj pyare sahibans before he created a fuss there. nobody in hazoor sahib is mad to beat up sangat who come there all the way for darshan. no offfence to any one. Hazoori Singhs here are committed to the sangat worldwide and are thankful to everyone who've come all the way there to celebrate the 300th year of maharaj's gurtta gaddi. JEE AAYAAN NU sadh sangat ji.

well that clears up a lot

newspapers always present facts it in a twisted manner

  9. My friend has posed me this question which is kinda weird but here it goes :

Can we do path of gurbani in order to generate power for attracting someone from the opposite sex? He says he doesn't indulge in any bad thoughts nor does he want to have any physical relation with her , he just wants to feel attraction for him .. he says he might marry her if it works out okay, she is a white girl

i feel like stupid posting this question here but anyways i did, my viewpoint is that whole idea of reading Gurbani is to break free from all kinds of relations with maya , but his argument is that since we can do paths to ask for wealth, money , career, success , sons etc etc Why can't we ask for a love from someone ? and he also mentions this pankti " ghar ki geehan changi jan dhanna leve mangi " that if bhagt dhanna could ask for a good wife why cant we ?

so please lets hear your thoughts!

  10. did u guys hear abt the row over the jhatka of bakra at hazur sahib on gurpurab , and how the blood was used to do tilak of shastars and palki sahib, i read it in a punjabi newspaper this morning , i dont know how much truth it contains lol this one guy who spoke up against jhatka ceremony got beaten up

I was wondering why do shastars need tilak of blood anyways ?

  11. Raagmala ji, using that kind of logic you are no better than the high caste men who spit on low caste people saying its their destiny to be treated so

    dear veer,

i am not a believer in this logic. If I was then stories of Sikhs helping the needy would hold no value for me.

But its just a question / doubt in my mind. When people say that money should be used to help poor people how far do you think can we go ?

Similarly, people produce arguments that gold used in the gurdwara should be instead used for the poor people ?

In this world , how do we differentiate between a person who is really poor and who is just lazy like a begger ?

I am not trying to debate anything , I myself believe strongly that needy people should be helped. But I am just putting some points forward to think about.
