  1. waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh

Baba Hari Singh Ji have been doing the katha of Itihaas for about 3 weeks now at the Malton Gurudwara now. Today, he started the katha of Sri Mukatnama Sahib by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. I thought I would try to post here as much as I can about the Mukatnama , since it is fresh in my mind, and also I could refer to it for future references.

    Mukatnama

The uthanka of this Mukatnama starts with the story of Bhai Maala Singh and Bhai Lahora Singh. The story goes that Bhai Lahora Singh borrowed money from Bhai Maala Singh and later refused to return the money back to Bhai Maala Singh. When both of them were arguing about it during the night Guru ji interfered and gave sumat to Bhai Lahora Singh ji. Bhai Lahora Singh apologised and returned the money.

Next day Guru Gobind Singh ji held a darbar and now will be giving sumat to everyone through the Mukatnama. Whoever will follow the teachings in the Mukatnama will reside in Sachkhand/ Gurpuri and Guru Ji will always be on his side. So here it goes.

    1) A sikh should never borrow or take a loan from someone. He should try his best to avoid taking loan. But if under extreme circumstances he has to take a loan then he should return it happily to the person from whom he took it.

    2) A sikh should always speak the truth. He should never lie. But there are special circumstances under which distinction should be made between the truth and lie. Here , Guru Ji gave a drishtant which is as following :

" A brahman was doing tapasaya. A kasai comes and asks for direction to which the cow that he was about to kill went. Brahman didn't speak but raised his hand in the direction the cow went. Now Brahman was responsible for this crime. He should have just kept silent under such circumstances". Hence if you speak a lie but it is not for your selfish interests but for the benefit of someone else , or if it doesnt harm any innocent person then it is allowed.

Similarly, although Chandu spoke truth that Mata Gujri Ji and Sahibzaade were residing at his home but he had to suffer because of all the pain and suffering that he caused to Mata ji and the Saahibzaade. On the other hand, when Two Muslim brothers were carrying Guru Gobind Singh ji on a manji , upon asking by the government officials they said he is Uch Da Peer. Even though they spoke a lie it was for a greater cause.

Baba Hari Singh warned that we have to be careful when or when not to speak a lie or truth.

He also narrated an anecdote of a Sant that he knew who always spoke truth, so much that he was given death sentence because he killed a manmati sadh in self defence who was opposing nagar keertan on the avtar divas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. But in the end that Sant was saved by Guru ji himself and he didn't get the death sentence such is the power of speaking Truth.

    3) A Sikh should not leave his hair open for a very long time. He should always always cover his head especially on three occasions :

    a) Maithun ( having sex with your wife)

    B) When eating food

    c) When sleeping

    4) A Sikh should never ever look at the naked body of a woman. If by accident a naked body comes in front of you close your eyes immediately. Same goes for the women.

    5) A sikh should never think or fantasize about indulging in Lust or sexual activity.

    6) A Sikh should not become attached to money or wealth.

    7) A Sikh should not take jooth. He should keep suchamta and bibek.

    8. He should stay away from Jagat Jooth Tambaku.

    9) He should not eat meat, strictly prohibited. Acc. to Baba Hari Singh ji , In Guru Granth Sahib Kutha refers to meat , there is no word as Chatka in Guru Granth Sahib.

    10) Sikh should take khande baate da amrit and follow the rehit given in Guru Granth Sahib.

    11) Always before eating , Sikh should do paath of Gurbani , moolmantar, gurmantar or say tvaprasad bharam bhau ka naas, and when he is finished he should do ardaas.

    12) Sikh should always maintain proper hygeine. Keep his hands and body always clean and using soap everytime going to the washrrom.

    13) After going to toilet , or washroom Sikh should do panj ishnaana ( wash your face, arms and legs until knees), and should take a bath before sitting on the tabya.

    14) Khalsa should respect all varans but remain Nyaara.

    15) Sikh should always get his daughter married in a Gursikh Family.

    to be continued...

For the rest of the Mukatnama , Baba ji will be doing the Katha tomorrow. If people can come then they should and benefit from this Katha.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

  2. I have had this question in my mind since a long time that is it okay to pray for someone when he/she is in a problem ?

I understand clearly that parupkar /gentleness or kindness is very important but unfortunately I haven't reached the avastha of Sants and never will be who can sacrifice even their own bodies for the benefit of others.

The reason this doubt has taken birth is due to a certain belief that has been established in my mind. Please help me in removing my doubt.

I believe that when you pray for someone in trouble , you have to be responsible for that person's evil actions due to which he/she is suffering. Your kamai gets less as it is expended in praying. For ex, when Baba Harnam Singh ji rampur khede were doing paths for the betterment of an atheist he was encountered by shaheed singhs. Since he was a Pooran Sant he got away with it but what will mere mortals like us do ? Thats why I am scared.

Also one time when my 10 year old cousin got infected with chicken pox , I did a path of Sukhmani sahib and the next day I had chicken pox and it was bad and couldn't go to sleep for 3 days straight. The scientific explanation would have been that I was just infected by the virus. but nevertheless it has created a doubt it my mind. i know this could be just untrue and false.

We in ardass ask for Sarbat Da Bhala, but seriously do you guys think we are capable of asking the sarbat da bhaala ? we cant do bhala of ourseleves how can we ask the bhala of whole world ? could we have saved the world from the disasters that just recently hit sichuan province and myanmar . I think only pooran Sants could have reduced this diaster by taking the pain on their own bodies ?

If someone is in distress should we just sit there and do nothing and think that this is just a play of karmas ? Will we have to suffer in place of the person for whom we are praying ?

Please help me in clarifying these doubts .

I posted this because I have a very distant cousin , a 10 year old girl suffering from Leukemia who is currently in ICU ( intensive care unit) due to some complications before starting her chemotherapy. I know this is all a play of karmas but it is pretty painful when you see someone in pain even if that person is not related to you any way. My aunt has asked me to pray for her and I will feel very guilty if I don't do so. But I am just scared because of the doubts in my mind.

    Lets hear your thoughts please.

  3. I just got reply from him . surprisingly quick

This is what he said :

    "Sri Akaal Ji Sahai

Can you send me the address of the page that has your picture - I'll remove it.

I was sent this photo through a contact - and the assumption was it was taken by him. Its not a big deal to remove the photo.

With regards to the other points, I'll pass them to Nihang Niddar Singh - and together we'll come up with a solution and see how these issues can be accomodated/answered."

  4. I have sent the following email to nihang@gmail.com. Lets see what their response is. My guess is that no ones going to change anything and they will still believe that they are the right ones. anyways I tried. .

    wjkk wjkf Teja Singh Ji,

I just want to notify you of something. The image that you posted on your website , under the Nanaksaria Section of the Adi Guru Darbar is not the picture taken at Nanaksar Kaleran ,as it says under the caption. Infact this picture was taken at my home 5 years ago. I have proof of this which I can show it to you if you wish.

So my request is to change that caption and please start respecting some copyrights. I find it offensive when you just paste your labels on photos taken from other places.

Also there are some misconceptions I want to clear , and I would request you to change those on your website.

    1) Neither Baba Nand Singh ji nor Baba Ishar Singh ji has asked followers to stop wearing gatres or kirpans. Just because some people who claim themselves to be Nanaksarias and make false claims about not wearing Kirpans because of their selfish or lazy excuses doesn't mean that you can generalize this statement and apply it to Nanaksar.

    2) We highly respect Baba Nand Singh Ji and often keep their photos in style. This is to remind us of their Bhagti , to derive inspiration and to receive their blessings. This is to remind us that through these Mahapurakhs we will meet our pyare Guru ji. And Guru is Parmeshwar roop. Once you meet Guru you have met God. But all this doesn't mean that Nanaksar believes in Dehdhari Gurus or anything like that. Baba Nand Singh ji made it very clearly and strictly that there is ONLY ONE GURU and that is GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI .

    3) Just because we do sewa of Guru Granth Sahib ji , place them on big beautiful mattresses and beds , adorn them with beautiful rumaales , use expensive attar and perfumes, lit desi ghee jot in Baba ji;s room and do bhog of food and milk doesn't establish a parallel between Sikhs doing sewa of Guru Granth Sahib ji and Hindus worshipping their idols. Your statement that Nanaksarias treat their Adi Guru Darbar just as hindu treat their idols is very offensive.

    4) The Issue of Nishan Sahib

The only reason that there is no nishan sahib at Nanaksar Kaleran is because during Baba Nand singh ji's time this place was a jungle and there was no provision for langar or food. Baba Nand Singh ji said that this 'thaath' is a birakti thaath, people shouldn't come here to look for langar or food neither should they come here to get their wishes fulfilled. The only reason they should come here is to do bhagti and simran. Thats why we often hear Nanaksar Bhagti Da Ghar.Nevertheless, this image has been tarnished due to certain events that have taken place in recent years.

Baba ji said that Nishan Saahib means that it is a gurudwara and langar and food will be guaranteed to the travellers or devotees.

Baba ji would say since he is happy under the Hukam of Guru Nanak whether He sends something to eat or not , he cannot guarantee that everybody would get food since the whole purpose of this dera was bhagti.

    5) And you have also mentioned that Ram mantar was given to sikhs and hindus. It was only given to Hindus. Sikhs were advised to do japp of Waheguru mantar. Muslim were advised to do tasbi of 99 names of Allah. Every body was instructed according to his own religion and depending upon his avastha.

I kindly request that you take note of these above mentioned points and remove the controversial material.

I don't mean any offence to your good efforts at trying to promote Truth. But I would like to suggest that what may seem Truth in your eyes may not be in reality true.

    wjkk wjkf

  5. okay now this might not seem a major issue and it is not even a big lie. But nevertheless it is a lie which shows that without any research or investigation some facts have been written and this undermines the credibility and confidence in the site.

also many other things have been written about Nanaksar Samparda which are inaccurate and disrespectful. But let me try to explain you what has happened.

I was just browsing through the their site, under the nanaksaria section I found a picture of Guru Granth Sahib ji. In the caption they write that this is the picture of adi guru darbar at nanaksar kaleran. But this is not the picture at kaleran.

    How do I know ?

becus that picture was taken at my house. i dont how it got on their site. I think i must have posted it on sikhawareness long time ago.

since i couldnt copy their picture , i will attach the original pic (Green)

and then i will attach the same pic in different colored rumaalas just to prove that i am not lying tht indeed this pic was taken at my home in Patiala.

Why I am going through all this ?

To be honest I am not against anyone or this site. I have no hatred towards anyone. The whole point that I am trying to prove is that do not believe what others say or write down either in books or anywhere else. Be vigilant. This might not be a big deal for someone but it saddens when people write things that are hurtful and disrespectful to certain samparda. I respect all sampardas. Instead of jumping to conclusions straight away and giving out verdicts that this is right and this is wrong is not a way of living life.

  6. www.sarbloh.com

OK GUYS THERE IS A PICTURE OF GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI THAT IS DISPLAYED ON THE WEBSITE UNDER THE NANAKSARIA SECTION.

WELL THIS PICTURE IS OF THE AKHAND PATH DONE AT MY HOME IN INDIA PATIALA BEFORE I CAME TO CANADA. AND IT WAS DONE AT MY HOME.

UNDER THE CAPTION IT SAYS NANAKSAR GURUDWARA KALERAN , WHAT A BUNCH OF LIES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I AM A LIVING PROOF TO THIS LIE.

AND HOW THE HELL DID THEY GET THIS PICTURE AND FROM WHERE ? I KNOW I SCANNED IT BUT NOT SURE IF I POSTED ANYWHERE ONLINE

I AM JUST TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY BY THIS FALSE PROPAGANDA!!

THEY TAKE A RANDOM PICTURE AND DRAW CONCLUSIONS FROM IT ? I THINK THEY JUST ASSUMED IT WAS A NANAKSAR KALERAN GURDWARA BUT THE TRUTH IS THIS WAS AT MY HOME IN PATIALA 5 YEARS AGO , AND ITS AMAZING HOW THEY GOT HOLD OF IT WITHOUT ME EVEN KNOWING ABOUT IT ...YA RITE

some major copyright violation there . i am not worried about the copyrights as much as I am about the lie they mentioned , adi guru darbar at nanaksar kaleran gurudwara. THIS FACT ALONE UNDERMINES THE CREDIBILITY OF THIS SITE WHAT ELSE YOU NEED
