  1. The persecution still carries on till today with the mistaken identity of the sikhs with terrorists/talibans/muslims in america sikhs have been murdered in cold blood in the uk sikhs go through racism via bnp, national front party and edl. All around the world Sikhs have gathered through alot of troubles till today such a soverign state and home land of the sikhs in punjab is being disolved given proper pressure through UN from canada, america and uk legal groups can draft the state. India claims to be a democracy but has let people like jagdish tytler and more who took part in persecution, genocide go free. The british took part in the undoing of the state and can establish it democratically. At present with Dr Manmohan Singh as primeminister such a noition would perhaps be ridicolous but when he is replaced by a Hindu, hindu extremism could protentially take place again. Presently Dr Mamohan Singh has done a great job as a primeminister and has given diginity to India, but it is sad that he calls himself a Sikh and has not committed to the justice of 1984 because it could have been him in the 1984 anti-sikh riots being burnt or his children as a Sikh one has to stand against injustice and tyranny he committed to such a thing by reading guru gobind singh jis shabad in parliament but yet has not put tytler behind bars or any others who took part, one may think that after his rule ends and another hindu extremist comes if such an injustice had no consequences then maybe his family maybe next if such an evil thing as the anti-sikh riots occurs again. May god bless us all with peace.
  2. Gurdwaras need to start singing this shabad everywhere
  3. The sikh state would have probably been the first to support the war against afghanistan and iraq. Instead of going to these places in the west and burning effiges and indian flags why not take the democratic steps and follow through khalistan is right in our hands given the pressures of the entire persecution Sikhs went through from afghanistan with the taliban, from India in 1984 from Pakistan during partition, today in western countries being integrated into the populations, today in India being integrated into hinduism through bramhnical systems inplaced in India, the caste system is forced down the throats of every religious grouping but they have a choice to leave and go to a country of there religious rullings however the same can not be said for the sikhs. Punjab is the spirtual home of the Sikhs which has been torn away given into punjab in Pakistan and India. It is up to us to return punjab back to its original state especially after all the drug issues, rape, murders and other cases in which the politics of India and pakistan are destroying- the separtism from Hindu and Islamic extremists endangering innocents. The call for the return of the spirtual home of the sikhs is a plea which has been unaddressed and just like jews had there home returned after persuction in hollocausts, sikhs went through persecution from ahmed shah abdali, mir mannu, indira gandhi, mohammad ali jinnah and nehru's hands.
  4. Now it is just a matter of getting loads of lawyers all around the world to the un to create khalistan. Maybe some sikh in the freemasons can do something.
  5. Otherwise it is a matter of taking such cases through lawyers to the UN.
  6. Perhaps it would be nice to create a new version of the documents with the most prominent sikhs of this century signing it. It would be nice to see that on a website though for historical reference.
  7. What are the sangats views of a sikh genre opening in movies maybe something like bend it like beckham- bhaji on the beach and many of gurinder chadha movies being further extended maybe by people like rdb and other groups we have singh is king from bollywood akshay kumar and many others which are tryin to follow on. There is a whole potential in the market so many people want to know about sikhs. Can sikh rehat maryada ever be potrayed whilist entertaining audiences. Such an industry has a means to allow sikhs and other backgrounds about sikhism. Would such an industry violate rehat. I am aware there is a rehat which says someone who sings in clubs and other singers are not allowed to do kirtan in gurdwara stages.
  8. If you could get that document signed and we propogate that everywhere it could probably mitigate the problem and maybe bring it to an end one day.
  9. The patialla raja used to drink alot. Maybe you could find the actual document that was signed it would be good to post it on the internet and gurdwaras alike.
  10. Hi satsangat ji, I would like to ask what tempts people to gossip, backbite and slander. Doing this you take that persons sin and it is like eating human flesh which is worse of a sin compared to eating meat. But I have noticed gursikhs do this alot like really over the top sometimes, what tempts us to fall to such a weakness and how to overcome it? It scares people away from sikhi aswell. The judgemental attitude which is unusal for someone who is supposed to be extremely humble. Is there someway to overcome this. Or do we find a need to do this as a form of punishment so that none of us would do that or to make that person avoid such an act.
  11. Additionally from sikhi perspective from sakhi of guru nanak meeting sheikh brahm- it may be derivable that even jesus himself is subject to life and death hence his teachings help us just like prophet muhammad to attain enlightenment, however compared to christianity and islam of jesus returning a sikh may be lead to believe they are not comming back and we have to learn from those teachings as in accordance to those faiths cremation would be wrong as they are supposed to wait in there grave until jesus returns.
  12. what if we start building gurdwaras all over India in other states were sikhi is unknown even from small village shrines with prakash of maharaj such as bringing it into gujrat more and building sikhi from bottom up spreading more sikhi everywhere to start with poorer people first from villages.
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6leMSVnhtZU&feature=related We can still spread sikhism on all of India from city to city- most hindus are ready to believe in anything in villages it is a matter of media and sending preachers all over.
  14. In 1983 India committed genocide to tamils as well so around same time - http://www.genocide.org.uk/genocide/ hence Indira Gandhi regime were mental. Even in Gujrat modi organised a genocide of muslims http://indianterrorism.bravepages.com/gujarat%20pictures%209.htm The thing is sikhs are 2% of India and have suffered and still suffer but we are not the only ones in India the politicians who do this have not been put in jail and are free only controlling jails. It will take a social revolution to bring justice for all victims of these crimes against humanity. Even dalit and untouchable lower caste hindus are victims to crimes in India- to push for real secularism in India is something in need. The congress party was formed to overtake the corrupt British but only when they came into power they became corrupt now we have issues of every political party in india being corrupt it will come down to the education of Indians themselves to know the issues and pursue that themselves. It is sad to see nothing has happened to Jagdish Tytler and he walks around free and not in jail.
  15. The last to lay arms and foremost to raise them against the British, the Sikhs of Punjab may not figure prominently in the galaxy of freedom fighters led by Mahatma Gandhi barring Shaheed Bhagat Singh, who, too, was consistently disowned by Bapu, but the contribution of the Sikh people to the freedom struggle is no mean. It is believed in all quarters that but for the intrigues in the post-Ranjit Singh’s Sikh hierarchy and the malicious strategy of the White man, the Sikhs could not have been defeated in 1849 the way they were. Despite this undeserved ignominy, there were ever so many incidents of defiance of the foreign rule by the Sikh soldiers and political activists. However, an organised peaceful crusade was launched by Baba Ram Singh Nandhari (he is addressed as Satguru Ram Singh by his followers) in 1869. It was essentially a socio-religious movement which became “a dynamic political force” in due course. They protested against cow slaughter, advocated widow re-marriage, would have nothing to do with the British educational institutions, even the mail and tap water. They wore spotless khadi and were devoted to meditation with woollen rosary. Amritsar being the holy city, cow-slaughter was forbidden in it. But later not only was it permitted, the ban lifted, an abattoir was established next to the Golden Temple. This infuriated the Nandharis who butchered many a butcher in the town. At this the British without due enquiry had 65 Nandharis tied with the barrels of cannons and blown to bits. Baba Ram Singh had no hand in it, but the British availed of this opportunity and deported him to Rangoon on January 18, 1872. The technique of non-co-operation adopted by Mahatma Gandhi is preceded by the Nandhari crusade by boycotting British institutions and trying to be self-sufficient with the native ways and means. Again the Gurdwara Movement of the Sikhs (1921-24) was the beginning of the national struggle for freedom. This has been accepted by more than one Indian national political leader. Pandit Moti Lal Nehru: I salute the Akalis who have started the struggle for freedom and are fighting for it. Pandi Madan Mohan Malaviya: Guru Ka Bagh Morcha has given birth to the freedom movement which must lead us to Swaraj. Lala Lajpat Rai: Freedom is our birthright. The Akalis are the legitimate sons of Mother India who are fighting for her. Dadabhai Naoroji: The Sikh brothers have shown us the way to freedom; no one can keep us slaves any more. Master Tara Singh: I would not mind if you, instead of standing with the Congress, boycott it and stand in front of it in the fight for India’s freedom. But if you boycott the Congress and stand in the back lane, it will be a shame for our community. According to the eminent historian, Dr Ganda Singh, 500 Sikhs were killed in the Gurdwara Movement and 30,000 courted arrest, the fines paid amounted to Rs 10,00,000. It was Master Tara Singh’s intervention, when he pulled down the Muslim League flag atop the Punjab Assembly at Lahore and tore it which saved half of the Punjab for India; otherwise the entire Punjab would have gone to Pakistan with River Yamuna as the dividing line between India and Pakistan. The total contribution of Sikhs in India’s struggle for freedom is revealing: Out of 121 patriots hanged 93 were Sikhs. Of the 2626 awarded life-imprisonment 2147 were Sikhs. Of the 1300 martyred in Jallianwala Bagh 799 were Sikhs. Considering that the Sikhs were hardly 1.5 per cent of the total population of India at the time, their sacrifices amounted to 90 per cent. No wonder that Sardar Baldev Singh, a representative of the Akalis, was invited to greet the country on the national network along with Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Mohammad Ali Jinnah when freedom came. And then started the slow but sure process of ignoring the Sikh people, forgetting their valiant contribution in bringing about the freedom. They are just one of the minority communities today. http://www.mainstreamweekly.net/article891.html
  16. Here some counter videos to khalistan
  17. This "Punjab Bachao" Khalistan rally by Shromani Akali Dal,Amritsar on September 28,2010 attended by an estimated 2 lakh people was "totally" blacked out by the indian electronic media.it was not even mentioned by any indian channel in their bulletins. This shows how much these channels care about Punjab and it's people. The only channel which covered this rally is Chardikla Time TV for which whole of Punjab should be thankful to them.

  19. There are still sikh sympthasisers today in politicians who do actually love sikhs and if we made the effort they could probably help us.
  20. There were more deserving people around at that time to be the leader of sikh representation such as maharaja patialla any of the previous sikh misl or kings many lords, barons, generals, doctors, engineers there were qualified people. According to many tara singh was bribed to fakely fast in india after 1947 - "Punishment to Master Tara Singh

Master Tara Singh was the most powerful and well recognized leader of the Sikhs in mid-twentieth century. He was president of SGPC when Akal Takhat Jathedar Achhar Singh punished him for breaking his fast without achieving anything after taking a solemn pledge in 1961. Such was the position of the Jathedar in Sikh world.

" http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/history-of-sikhism/28626-akal-takhat-jethedar-history-j-s.html However the sgpc and akali dal are the same body when they should be separate.
