    Well what i meant by mainstream was alot of Sikhs i have come across feel why would Guru Gobind Singh send 5 singhs to learn Sanskriti. Like chatanga said i think alot of sikhs believe they have errrm i guess gone astray somewhat.

    What is the difference between Nirmala Sikhs and "Mainstream Sikhs" Is there any difference when it comes to rehat? Also why are they looked down upon by some of the "mainstream sikhs"

    I have moved to Canada from UK with the family, as for experience its a nice country definitely better than England when it comes to the standard of living etc... Though the one plus England had is a lot more sangat, more programs, rehansbhais, dasam darbars, barsis etc... B.C is better for its scenery and the whole nature hoohaa, but it has English type weather

    What are some of the earliest sources of Sikh history? Are the sakhis of Mahan Shaheeds like Baba Deep Singh, Battle Of Chamkaur, Guru Arjan Dev Ji's Shaheed and countless other events recorded in any books or Granths? It would be great if we could list authors and names of these Granths, so that people who have interest in research could use.

    Im no expert on meditation but what i sometimes find useful is, joining the fingertips(see pic below, mine are not usually as tense and are loose), listening and feeling the pulse. The rhythm of the pulse then goes well with jap of Waheguru in your mind.
