    fundraising

desikuddi: hi..yeah.... whoa...can you say that in english this time hahaha..... i'm intierested in that seattle one... i don't know what you mean.. what is it.. i think you said something like this: "you do this thing, and then after getting the stuff, then you go and do it, and then hook it up with some company in seattle.. loads of profit.." something like that haha jus tell me what you mean.
  2. fateh! nothing to do with sikhi whatsoever. i'm part of student government at school, and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how we could fundraise or what things that your high school does, events wise... the student government also has an african child that we sponsor, and we need creative ways to fundraise for him this year. in previous years, simply going from class to class hasn't been very successful. we would like to find a good way to fundraise for that and for any other events. so to sum up.... what events has your student's council put up in recent years? do you have any funky ways to fundraise? and how could we fundraise to attract my greedy area to give money for our child in africa?
  3. oooh she's a catch! i'll take her!!
  4. yeah, i was very pissed at that..why take Lang out...easily your best through ball passer and one of the best and most accurate in the air passers in the tournament.... it pissed me off... they won't make that mistake twice... she's my best friend.. and i've never met her in my life... she's awsome
  5. i think the question is phrased wrong.... maybe not SHOULD we.... but CAN we...or IS IT OKAY TO.... Should makes it sound like there should be religious significance to it. anyways, i was wondering about what you said honey81online... didn't you say on the sikhsangat.com site that you cut your hair?? so then are you truly in a position to state about dhari cutting and such?
  6. wowwwwww!!! shanks a bunches everyvon.. desikuddi..i was like. "haw...she's betraying me!!!" hahaha thanks so much!
  7. err.... if this is only for truthsingh...maybe you shoulda PM'd him?
  8. AMERICANS SAY: yay! we beat sweden... a sucky team with no hope! we're soo good... love us love us... we crave attention! we're a bunch of snobby stuck up girls who strip after goals.. love us!! CANADIANS SAY: we lost to the number 1 team in the world.. the most favored team to win the tournament.. and even then, we scored first on them. we made four mistakes and they scored 4 goals.. the sign of an excellent team, when they capitalize on every mistake you make.
  9. well...i've got a response that may not be too popuular...but: so hair is hair... if we shave our arms, it's bad... if we leave our kesh uncovered.. it's bad... but if we leave our daari flowing and long and out and uncovered, and seemingly ungroomed...it's GOOD?? i was thinkin about this a few nights ago... people always say that our daari should be long and flowing...increases spiritual someting something.... so what if i leave my kesh on my head flowing... then i get the eveil eye looks...now i've committed a sin or something.i'm confused... what's the difference/? and if there is none, then therereally ios no harm in tieing our daari....
  10. hahahhahahahahahhaha hilarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrious!! hahahha
  11. did anyone else notice that the milk comin outta the cow was referred to as amrit? that made me sick....
  12. are you sure that's what meeri is? are you sure it's not just political power, or politcal strength?
  13. couldn't the same be applied to long hair? if god wanted you to have long hair, then you woulda been born with long hair.... :?
  14. <edited> Admin Note: Lets not bring your personal dislike for each other onto the board, if you want to settle this do it over msn or pm
  15. this is kinda like asking what poor child wouldn't want your leftover sabji from last night... no one's gonna be picky when they're in desperate need... especially in western culture.
  16. ahhh.. yes yes...i hear those words soooooo often
  17. there was actually a HUGE topic about this lil_princess... hit the search button and search for "Dressing Modestly" I believe that was the general title of the thread
  18. we kill mosquitoes and flies like there's no tomorrow... what if i started doing this to dogs and cats.. think of the outcry? my view is that life is life, and despite my view, i still do kill mosquitoes. i know, that according to my view, it's not right, but i still do... it's my own "instinct" if you will...
  19. the simple reply, freedom fighter, is that that answer is just way too simple.... the power hungry sikhs who strive for the answer don't like simplicity..they have to make things as impossible and difficult as they can....it makes them look better that way. the more logical the solution, the less attention they pay to it...sad but true
  20. IDEAL.....man... you bother me sometimes..straight up.i've got nothing to hide... you're jus as much responsible as anyone ewlse for the topic changing..look at your whole long post! it had nothing to do with your original topic until your last line... and honestly, what are you trying to prove by continuously objecting to lalleshvari...and callig him Penji...you're just as aware as everyone else that he's a veer, and you should totally not disrespect him... don't be jealous of his knowledge.
  21. i've wondered this myself....and the point that you can't over look is that if it was all supposed to be regarded equally, then there would be no this granth that granth..it'd all be one... Guru Gobind Singh Ji was obviously on to something when he put all his baani minus one salok into a whole seperate granth. It can not be reiterated enough.....Gurbaani is wicked....but it isn't Guru. We have GURU GRANTH SAHIB for a reason.. i'm not trying to undermine the other two granths..but let's be honest, there's a reason why it's not called GURU dasam Granth....or Guru Sarabloh Granth... Dasam Guru Darbar would be a man made name...Guru Granth Saahib Ji is named by the man himself, Guru Gobind Singh.... no one's saying don't listen or read Dasam Granth.. just don't lose sight of the fact that that's not the Guru.
  22. and to think...i used to generalize chinese people for being bad drivers.....now i'll make sure to never get near a car driven by SB
