  3. I would say flash is the way to go, but the whole power point setup is much more convineint.... Design something like the Gurseva kirtan flash project.... Better yet, redesign the whole thing from the ground up...
  4. php zindaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaabaddddd
  5. Yea, I guess its more work then I really wanted to put in. I read up on some other forums, and it would seem that IE doesn't support it and I was just getting confused since I use Opera and IE interchangablly. (In Opera the attribute works perfectly.) I was affraid of this  Either way thanks for all the help. And for those interested here are the links to the other forum in regards to this... http://forums.devshed.com/t67144/s.html&hi...=disable+option http://forums.devshed.com/t119291/s.html&h...=disable+option
  6. Tried some searches in google, and everything I read suggested that IE 4,5,6 supports the attribute. Even tried MSDN and came up with the same.
  7. Yea, Sorry for the mix up in terminology, not really watching it, but I guess if you change the list size you can make it into a list box. Do want the problem solved for a drop-down though.
  8. Skrew legal / non legal... Guru Sahibs your father...Guru Sahib owns everything..when was the last time you had to ask your father for anything?? Hence its all in the family.. Like wise a nihang singh once showed me once when jacking some fruit from some vendor and when asked to pay for it his reply....."Chardi Kalaaa ;)"
  9. Basically disable an item (option) in a list box. You get a list you get a bunch of options...Just want to disable some. (Prevent clicking on it etc). It could be argued that the problem is just as easily solved by not listing the item/option, but thats not really what I want accomplished. Problem can be solved using java script and I may end up going to java script as a last resort, but would rather figure out why this simple attribute isn't working.
  10. Been messing with this for the longest time now, but for some reason IE (6.0+) doesn't seem to support the disabled attribute. ie... <select name="test" size="1"> <option value="1">check12</option> <option disabled value="2">check122</option> <option value="3" DISABLED>check324</option> <option value="4" DISABLED="true">123</option> <option value="5" disabled="true">23</option> <option value="6" disabled="disabled">532</option> <option value="7" >=</option> </select> I've tried almost every combination I can think of, and read off, but nothing seems to be working. Any idea on whats up or where I'm messing up?? Funny thing is just "disabled" in the tag alone before "used" to work, but alass no more..
  11. site that got me through flash.. www.flashkit.com learned almost everything from this site, after awhile flash becomes basic... great forum on it also
  12. Singh I've had the great kirpa to stay and visit with Sant Baba Takhur Singh Ji on various occassions. Last year while in New York a local journalist for a large punjabi community paper visited with Baba Ji to talk about the whole Ram Singh mix up. The question regaring Sant Jarnail Singh was also once again raised (as it almost always is) to which again Baba Ji replied that Sant Jarnail Singh is in Chardi Kalaa. The reporter further inquired about when Sant ji will return to which Baba Ji said when hukam comes. There are also videos of Baba Ji making this bachan, and maybe in time will be shared. Like I said earlier premi's, suspect the year to be 2004 just because it seems like a really round year, but NEVER has Baba Ji themselves said this year. This can be confirmed by asking any of the Singhs with Baba Ji.
  13. Sant Baba Takhur Singh's bachan is that sant is in chardi kalaa and will come back when they are given hukam from akaal to do so, and that the time is coming close. Baba Ji has never said anything about 2004. That's just a year assumed by premi's because its 20 years, a nice even number since the attacks. His son also asked for forgiveness from Baba Ji saying he felt pressured to say this. And Sant Ji has two sons, only one of his sons made this claim. On the topic of discussion however, N3O, there are various organizations who donate money to the families of Shaheed Parvaars, one big one that comes to North America a lot to do there fundraising parchaar is the Gur Aasra Trust. I do not have their contact information but I'm sure it can be found through some quick google searches. As per my views I don’t think this PM will be of any use to the Sikh nation. Even before reading about his comments in regards to India's Human Right violations, I felt that he was just another puppet, simply because he’s with Congress. Personally I think this was just a move by the government to prevent any possible Khalistan up-rise. Manmohan Singh’s appointment to office is close to the 20th anniversary of operation blue star, only off by a few weeks. His appointment will be the front-page news story for many weeks to come, kind of rubbing anything to do with 1984 from the front of newspapers. It also makes the government look good in light of the operation blue star attack, because it shows that in the last 20 years Sikhs have been given every ample opportunity in India to rise into power i.e Manmohan Singh is a Sikh and is also the nations leader. This not only makes India look real good but will also cause for many to be like, "well the government has proven that it holds no enmity with the Sikhs, so 1984 really was the fault of a few radicals." I know my views will bring about the usual "pro-khalistani paranoia" for which I could care less, because in the end we can only let time unveil what the future has in store, but before people start jumping up and down, because a "sikh" has risen to power, I can only recall the actions of those before who where also "sikh" such as KPS Gill. “Now you tell me who won? They see us and they runâ€
  14. GD library only works if host has it installed and running.. ImageQuick you can access and intialize through a script if its not installed on the root. GD Library is more often offered because its less strain on the system.

  16. People think that they can clear up profound matters if they consider them deeply, but they exercise perverse thoughts and come to no good because they do their reflecting with only selfinterest at the center. It is difficult for a fool's habits to change to selflessness. In confronting a matter, however, if at first you leave it alone, fix the four vows in your heart, exclude self-interest, and make an effort, you will not go far from your mark. Because we do most things relying only on our own sagacity we become self-interested, turn our backs on reason, and things do not turn out well. As seen by other people this is sordid, weak, narrow and inefficient. When one is not capable of true intelligence, it is good to consult with someone of good sense. An advisor will fulfill the Way when he makes a decision by selfless and frank intelligence because he is not personally involved. This way of doing things will certainly be seen by others as being strongly rooted. It is, for example, like a large tree with many roots. One man's intelligence is like a tree that has been simply stuck in the ground.
  17. Waheguru Je Ka Khalsa Waheguru Je Ke Fateh Raag Maala is a composition of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Sahib Ji. For those who say Munadavni is the end of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, I assume you do not read the salok that follows it either. If you do, your only practicing hypocrisy to what you say. Sant Baba Jarnail Singh and Sant Baba Kartaar Singhs Katha on Sri Raag Maala is available at http://www.gursikhijeevan.com I am of the beleif that Bhai Randhir Singh Ji believed in Sri Raag Maala in the late years of their life. As from my understanding Bhai Sahib, spoke very little in his last few years, for this reason may or may not have told those members of the Jatha if Raag Maala was bani. Also a question I have is whether those Singhs who are of Bhai Sahibs time, if they themselves where in Bhai Randhir Singhs prescence at the time around or near his death. I understand that in Bhai Sahibs early years they dissmissed Raag Maala completly, however no mention of not believing in Raag Maala is given in any of Bhai Randhir Singhs books. As per Sant Mahpursh Bhram Giani Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh's arth on Raag Maala my request to those who say these arth made no sense is if they could please post which aspect or what part of the arths made no sense to them as only then can such ignorances be overcome. Forgive me if I leave anyone feeling insulted with this post it was not the intent. Waheguru Je Ka Khalsa Waheguru Je Ke Fateh
