  1. you said:

    "prove it lad.

and a big *yawn* @ "heavily affected by hunduism"

do a bit of reading before condeming ppl - Personally ive yet to be convinced either way on the issue of jhatka and the canbis and almond drink.

I personally dont agree witha lot of it but there is considerable evidence to suggest that it maybe "all good""

my answer to you bhai is

nowhere in the dasam granth rehitnamas or anywhere else is the idea of jhatka entertained. the closest you get is "jhatka warriors" which means warriors who kill their opponents with one swipe of hte sword. this is said in triya charitrer i think.

the idea of doing a ritual (penthra) before killing the goat is just as bad as the halal way, doing a ritual. most the meat around in guru jis time was halal since many hindus were veggie, hence halal was banned (as was kutha which is proved to be meat rather than halal)

bhai gurdas himself speaks against the killing of goats, saying "i am a goat, one moment i am eating vegetation, next moment i have been killed, what have i done to deserve this, just imagine what happens to those who eat meat". this is not an exact translation but that is the gist of it. you can look it up if you want.

as for the cannabis one, thats very stupid. bhagat kabeer says that those who consume weed go STRAIGHT TO HELL. weed is spoken against a number of times in guru granth. it is just as bad as tobacco. nihungs claim that the dasam granth is full of "drug references".....LOL! these drug references are things like describing a battle and saying "the wounded were rolling on the floor like matted haired sandhoos drinking bhaang" - is that pro bhang? is guru also pro sandhoo? no and no.

bhai if u need any more evidence that DRUGS and RITUAL SLAUGHTER OF INNOCENT ANIMALS are against sikhi, just ask. or why not ask your local gyani? say "baba ji, are drugs against sikhi" hahaha

btw if u want hindoo influences, ask nangs why they believe in the hindoo trinity. i dont understand how anyone can be pro "shastarvidiya.org" since it slanders bhai fauja singh who was a shaheed, and bhai randhir singh who was one of hte most spiritually advanced people we have had since the gurus times.

  2. what the nihungs used to do in a battle against a really big army was turn round and start to run. the front of the opponent army would split from the main army and give chase. the nihungs then turned round and cut them down. in that way, they wittled down large armies to nothing. that aint running away, thats tactics. they still had the intention to die on the battlefield, they didnt run back to their homes to fetch more ammo.

  3. there is a hell inbetween your cycles of reincarnation.

you are literally battered with a stick, boiled alive countless times, over and over by jaam, etc in between lives.

bhai rama singh saw this himself and mentions it in his book.

theres also plenty of references of jaam in the guru granth. theres even a bani which describes him!

  4. in my opinion, its irrelevant whether keski is the kakkar or not, altho it makes more sense, u can still believe kes is the kakkar but u must keep your keski on all the time.

bhai daya singh, the first of the panj pyare, quite explicitly said to keep keski on ALL the time, and one who eats bareheaded is going straight to kumbhi (hell).

indeed the panth shouldnt have to get divided - if u think its kesh fine, u still follow the same rehit, pre maharajah ranjit singh ALL sikh women wore keski.

  5. the whole idea is that kesh is so important it needs both kangha and keski to "protect" it.

all kakkars are meant to be treated equally, whats worse forgetting your kara one day or accidentally visiting the barbers lol

im interested about that jaap sahib and bhai randhir singh thingy.......

guru gobind singh also gave darshan to bhai rama singh and said keski is a kakkar

  6. i agree with steel kara.

look what punjabi culture has done to sikhi

    caste system

    meat

    bhangra

    skanty clothes

    alcohol

all the things the gurus sought to remove just popped back in again

etc........i could never be proud of where i come from since it has corrupted half the sikhs round the world.

  7. we need to remember because the injustice still goes on today.

i am going to use a harsh term but i think its completely appropriate.

quite literally, sikhs in punjab are being pimped by the indian govt. there is no hiding of this. if we forget and pretend everything in punjab is fine then it will disintergrate. there are problems that need to be solved. people like yogi bhajan are sending lots of white sikhs to india to preach sikhi and help sikhi get back on its feet. we should follow his example and help.

  8. nice videos but messed up content.

i found it disgraceful they could show pics of blood in sarbloh battey.

i found it sickening they could insult bhai fauja singh who died to protect sikhi, and even BHAI RANDHIR SINGH!!!

look at the videos and nothing else. the rest will confuse you. sikhs dont believe in the hindu trinity, killing goats, taking cannabis and opium, etc etc.

those nihungs on that site (NANGS) have a monopoly on the real shaster vidiya and their ego shows.

  9. clubbing is completely 100percent against sikhi.

on top of that, kuchhi bani is also. i will post up some quotes later.

i gave up rap and hiphop music about a year ago, its actually really hard, but now i dont really see anything in it and listen to kirtan all the time. instead of gangsta lyrics playing over in my head i get anand and sukhmani ringing there instead.

of course there isnt going to be anti clubbing quotes in SGGS because they didnt have clubs at hte time. but there are plenty of anti bhangra and music etc quotes which people like to ignore.

i dont understand WHY people listen to music any more anyway.....just try giving up kucchi bani for a few months and listen to kirtan instead and u will see a difference...its harder than u think.

i liked bhai rama singhs book "In search of hte true guru: from manmukh to gursikh" - he went thru all the clubbing and the kaam and he found that he wasnt getting much benefit out of his bani any more. so he gave it all up and took a religious path. he likened a club to a room filled with soot and coal - everyone goes in clean and comes out blackened and filthy.

i really cant imagine guru gobind singh doing modern bhangra or c-walking to a gangsta rap track, can you?

sorry if ive offended anyone, just my views.
