  2. Commit to Never Ending Impro ve m e n t Constantly seek ways to do things better in all areas of your life. The Japanese have a word for the concept of never ending improvement, kaizen. Pro g ress and ultimate success come to those who train and keep training. If you choose to stop and become aware, you can become a better spouse, son, daug hter, friend, e m p l o y e r, employee, athlete and citizen. Commitment comes from the inside out and is tested often. Measure yourself against the best. Most others will choose to be average. This is what average means. You won’t know your limits if you don’t keep trying. Reject the idea of good enough. Commit to excellence. Take each of your goals and think of how you can improve one percent each month. Success is a journey. It is not a quick fix. The joy is in the doing. Think of success not as a peak to be climbed but a high plateau to be walked. Always encourage children or employees to do their best and to keep going. Set the bar high for yourself and them. You will all be the better for it..

  6. Genteman, I m not against bout UR approach towards the Khalistan, But i have a diffrenet viewpoint regarding this. So please dont mind if somethink not liked by you. First of all i think we all lack the exact definition of KHALISTAN. If we define it properly i'll sure the 90% problem/issue of such a question will automatically solved. As per me KHALISTAN is not a specific place where we/sikh/khalsa have to esteblish his/her empire but i think it should be the whole mind whole body n whole soul, It should be the whole planet the whole sky in short it will be the eternity. Khalistan should not be a peace of land but an Idea, an approach, a thinking, a way of living. Khalsaism is not religion as per me but it is a stream , stream to be pure as pure as the almighty GOD. So lets try it, wity JOYce of Him(GOD)

  8. When You're Root-bound (J-13) By Steve Goodier Like potted plants, people can become "root- bound." We have a beautiful "Christmas Cactus" which I gave to my wife as a gift 28 years ago. It has accompanied us through tough years and good times. It has lived with us in four different communities and has been present during the raising of our family. But it almost died. As the small plant grew, we transferred it to a larger pot. It did well for about twenty years, but then began to die. It seemed that no amount of feeding, coddling or attention helped. We finally plucked a few leaves, re-rooted them and started over. We could barely remove the now-dead plant from its pot for all the knotted and intertwined roots. The beautiful succulent was dying because it outgrew its environment. The plant changed, but the container it lived in stayed the same. People, too, can die when they outgrow their environments. They need broader views, bigger challenges. Songwriter Bob Dylan put it this way: "If you are not busy being born, you are busy dying." One man was offered employment at a salary higher than he had ever made in his life. After careful consideration, he declined the position. "What's the matter?" his potential boss asked. "Isn't the salary big enough?" "The salary is fine," the man said. "It's the job that's not big enough." He chose growth over decline, life over death. Karen Kaiser Clark said, "Life is change… growth is optional…choose wisely." Good advice - especially when we find ourselves becoming root-bound.

  10. The Man Without A Face A True Story (J-15) Years ago a hardworking man took his family from New York State to Australia to take advantage of a work opportunity there. Part of this man's family was handsome young son who had aspirations of joining the circus as a trapeze artist or an actor. This young fellow, biding g his time until a circus job or even one as a stagehand came along, worked at the local shipyards which bordered on the worse section of town. Walking home from work one evening this young man was attacked by five thugs who wanted to rob him. Instead of just giving up his money the young fellow resisted. However they bested him easily and proceeded to beat him to a pulp. They mashed his face with their boots, and kicked and beat his body brutally with clubs, leaving him for dead. When the police happened to find him lying in the road they assumed he was dead and called for the Morgue Wagon. On the way to the morgue a policeman heard him gasp for air, and they immediately took him to the emergency unit at the hospital. When he was placed on a gurney a nurse remarked to her horror, that his young man no longer had a face. Each eye socket was smashed, his skull, legs, and arms fractured, his nose literally hanging from his face, all is teeth were gone, and his jaw was almost completely torn from his skull. Although his life was spared he spent over year in the hospital. When he finally left his body may have healed but his face was disgusting to look at. He was no longer the handsome youth that everyone admired. When the young man started to look for work again he was turned down by everyone just on account of the way he looked. One potential employer suggested to him that he join the freak show at the circus as The Man Who Had No Face. And he did this for a while. He was still rejected by everyone and no one wanted to be seen in his company. He had thoughts of suicide. This went on for five years. One day he passed a church and sought some solace there. Entering the church he encountered a priest who had saw him sobbing while kneeling in a pew. The priest took pity on him and took him to the rectory where they talked at length. The priest was impressed with him to such a degree that he said that he would do everything possible for him that could be done to restore his dignity and life, if the young man would promise to be the best Catholic he could be, and trust in God's mercy to free him from his torturous life. The young man went to Mass and communion every day, and after thanking God for saving his life, asked God to only give him peace of mind and the grace to be the best man he could ever be in His eyes. The priest, through his personal contacts was able to secure the services of the best plastic surgeon in Australia. There would be no cost to the young man, as the doctor was the priest's best friend. The doctor too was so impressed by the young man, whose outlook now on life, even though he had experienced the worse, was filled with good humor and love. The surgery was a miraculous success. All the best dental work was also done for him. The young man became everything he promised God he would be. He was also blessed with a wonderful, beautiful wife, and many children, and success in an industry which would have been the furthest thing from his mind as a career if not for the goodness of God and the love of the people who cared for him. This he acknowledges publicly. The young man was and is Mel Gibson. Mel Gibson ---- Australian actor (born in the United States in 1956) His life was the inspiration for his production of the movie "The Man Without A Face." He is to be admired by all of us as a God fearing man, a political conservative, and an example to all as a true man of courage. And to think I admired him before I knew any of this! He is quite a man!
  11. A helicopter was flying around above Seattle yesterday when an electrical malfunction disabled all of the aircraft's electronic navigation and communications equipment. Due to the clouds and haze, the pilot could not determine the helicopter's position and course to steer to the airport. The pilot saw a tall building, flew toward it, circled, drew a handwritten sign, and held it in the helicopter's window. The pil ot's sign said "WHERE AM I?" in large letters. People in the tall building quickly responded to the aircraft, drew a large sign, and held it in a building window. Their sign said "YOU ARE IN A HELICOPTER." The pilot smiled, waved, looked at his map, determined the course to steer to SEATAC airport, and landed safely. After they were on the ground, the co-pilot asked the pilot how the "YOU ARE IN A HELICOPTER" sign helped determine their position. The pilot responded "I knew that had to be the MICROSOFT building because, similar to their help-lines, they gave me a technically correct but completely useless answer." MORAL: Their is always something good in every bad, U just have to find out useful positives in useless Nagetives.

  14. A man went to a barber shop to have his hair and his beard cut as always. He started to have a good conversation with the barber who attended him. They talked about so many things and various subjects. Suddenly, they touched the subject of God. The barber said: "Look man, I don't believe that God exists as you say so." "Why do you say that?" - asked the client. "Well, it's so easy, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God does not exist. Oh, tell me, if God existed, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children?" If God existed, there would be no suffering nor pain. I can't think of a God who permits all of these things." The client stopped for a moment thinking, but he didn't want to respond so as to prevent an argument. The barber finished his job and the client went out of the shop. Just after he left the barber shop he saw a man in the street with a long hair and beard (it seemed that it had been a long time since he had his cut and he looked so untidy). Then the client again entered the barber shop and he said to the barber: "Know what? Barbers do not exist." "How come they don't exist?"- asked the barber. "Well, I am here and I am a barber." "No!" - the client exclaimed. "They don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with long hair and beard like that man who walks in the street." "Ah, barbers do exist, what happens is that people do not come to me." "Exactly!"- affirmed the client. "That's the point. God does exist, what happens is people don't go to Him and do not look for Him; that's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."
  15. In 1923, a group of the world's most successful financiers met at the Edgewater Beach Hotel in Chicago. These tycoons were extremely rich & altogether they controlled more wealth than there was in the US Treasury. Their success stories were published everywhere inspiring many to follow their fine examples. Just look at who they were: 1. Arthur Cutten - The greatest wheat speculator. 2. Albert Fall - The Secretary of Interior in President Harding's cabinet. 3. Leon Fraser - The president of the Bank of International Settlements. 4. Howard Hopson - The president of the largest gas company. 5. Ivar Kreuger - Head of the world's greatest monopoly. 6. Jesse Livermore - The greatest bear in Wall Street. 7. Charles Schwan - The president of the largest independent steel company. 8. Richard Whitney - The president of the New York Stock Exchange. But 27 years later in 1948, this was what happened to them: 1. Arthur Cutten died abroad insolvent. 2. The penniless Albert Fall was pardoned from prison so that he could die at home. 3. Leon Fraser commited suicide. 4. Howard Hopson was insane. 5. Ivar Kreuger commited suicide. 6. Jesse Livermore commited suicide. 7. Charles Schwan was bankrupt & had to live on borrowed money the last 5 years of his life before his death. 8. Richard Whitney was recently released from Sing Sing Prison. 2 B continue............................
  16. Submit URself to a Higher Power Look at the big picture. You build your life upon your faith. You cherish your faith. You aren’t afraid to tell others of your beliefs. You stand for positive val-ues.You are ethical in your dealings. You pray and meditate to have the courage to face your fears. You pray and meditate to have the strength to accept, endure and triumph over the hardships and small daily annoyances that the path to suc-cess will present. You celebrate the good that you find in the world. With humility, submit. You are but one fragile, fallible human. Every religion has prayers. A prayer is your conversation with God. Your success and happi-ness is God’s answer. Your selfless good works in helping others are your prayers put into action..
  17. Commit to Never Ending Improvement Constantly seek ways to do things better in all areas of your life. The Japanese have a word for the concept of never ending improvement, kaizen. 18. Power of Patience You can handle most problems because you know that only a little time stands between you and your goal. It may take twenty calls to make a sale. Be patient. It might take you five attempts to quit smoking or lose weight. It might take ten applications to get the job you really want. The point is that you try and keep trying until you succeed. Most people quit too soon. Be persistent. Be patient. Concentrate on your major goal until you have achieved it. It is not what you did yesterday. It is not what you may be doing today. It is what you are prepared to do every day. * That one cold morning when you want to roll over but instead get up and go to the gym, is a defining moment. ** Remember that all wealth, all businesses, all real estate and all treasures even-tually pass from old hands to young. Be prepared. Your time is coming..
  19. Positive Mental Attitude A positive mental attitude results from a life dedicated to self-im p r o v e m e n t and service. With a personal commitment to doing your best today, you don’t have to be overly concerned about tomorrow. You can be confident that good things will happen and be equally confident that if trouble comes you will have the strength and skills to cope, take control and then conquer. You are tough. You stay at it. You don’t allow your doubts to destroy your dreams. Hope does spring etern al.You are thankful to have the curiosity to keep learning. You are grateful to see opportunity knock so often. You are thankful to have the personality to keep making new friends. Your mind can only hold one thought at a time so make that one thought positive. Count your blessings. The way is clear. The world is a better place because you are in it...
  20. Risk of Failure Be ready. There is no better time to start taking positive action than right now. You research and you have confidence in your preparations. You don’t allow yourself to become paralyzed by indecision. You realize that a time comes when you must act. If you hesitate too long, doubts will linger and turn into fears. Yes, you may stumble. Yes, you may be rejected. Yes, you may fail. This is life. Life’s winners accept that in trying they may have to adjust and even start again and again. The difference between successful people and others is not whether you make mistakes or even temporarily fail, but how you Respond . Many people look for guarantees before taking independent action. Yet, in seeking assurances, they frequently receive cautions, which can easily be used as excuses for inaction. Be aware that those who love you the most may be the loudest in warning you not to risk.. The Greatest Risk in Life is not taking any risk...so better save urself from greatest risk...
  21. Cause of Change ……………….Can U Change URself The status quo may be comforting, but for there to be growth, there must be change. Since you seek growth, you must seek change. You must see yourself and your environment not only as it is, but also as it could and should be. You seek the changes necessary to reach the better you so that you can play your part in making a better world. First, you change yourself. Can you change your day and spend more time with your family? Can you change your standard lunch routine and take a walk? Can you change your drive home and stop at a nursing home for twenty min-utes and see someone who may have few visitors? Can you change your off i c e habits and find the time to make five more phone calls? What are the possible consequences of not changing? Realize that many people don’t make plans because they don’t want to risk any change. Doing little with your life is much easier and safer than taking risks, but then you will be a small person. Instead, seek the changes which will allow you to be all that you can be.. In life change is constant...even if u dont try to adopt any, still things will get change so better be a part of it and make the difference..
  22. Master of Success R U There is a master inside you. It is an ideal. It is you at your best. Keep working. You are calm, thoughtful, patient and confident. Ask urself ? 23. Give Yourself the Gift of Self - Reliance If there is one gift that you can give yourself that will enhance the overall quality of your life, it is self-reliance. You already possess everything you will need to succeed. You can work on your own schedule toward your own goals without feeling pre s s u red by the demands of others. When you are self-reliant, if you lose your job, you’ll get another. If you lose that job, you’ll start your own business. You can make more money as a self-employed handyman applying the Action Principles to your work than a lazy lawyer will ever earn. You need the will, the self-confidence and a realistic plan. As a follower of the Action Principles, you will have them. Life just can’t get you down because you are in control of yourself..
  24. Forgiveness is the scent that the rose leaves on the heel that crushes it. Author unknown
  25. The Most Beautiful Flower Author Unknown (J-11) The park bench was deserted as I sat down to read Beneath the long, straggly branches of an old willow tree. Disillusioned by life with good reason to frown, For the world was intent on dragging me down. And if that weren't enough to ruin my day, A young boy out of breath approached me, all tired from play. He stood right before me with his head tilted down And said with great excitement, "Look what I found!" In his hand was a flower, and what a pitiful sight, With its petals all worn - not enough rain, or too little light. Wanting him to take his dead flower and go off to play, I faked a small smile and then shifted away. But instead of retreating he sat next to my side And placed the flower to his nose And declared with ovacted surprise, "It sure smells pretty and it's beautiful, too. That's why I picked it; here, it's for you." The weed before me was dying or dead. Not vibrant of colors: orange, yellow or red. But I knew I must take it, or he might never leave. So I reached for the flower, and replied, "Just what I need." But instead of him placing the flower in my hand, He held it mid-air without reason or plan. It was then that I noticed for the very first time That weed-toting boy could not see: he was blind. I heard my voice quiver; tears shone in the sun As I thanked him for picking the very best one. You're welcome," he smiled, and then ran off to play, Unaware of the impact he'd had on my day. I sat there and wondered how he managed to see A self-pitying woman beneath an old willow tree. How did he know of my self-indulged plight? Perhaps from his heart, he'd been blessed with true sight. Through the eyes of a blind child, at last I could see The problem was not with the world; the problem was me. And for all of those times I myself had been blind, I vowed to see the beauty in life, And appreciate every second that's mine. And then I held that wilted flower up to my nose And breathed in the fragrance of a beautiful rose And smiled as I watched that young boy, Another weed in his hand, About to change the life of an unsuspecting old man.
