Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

Anyone know if there are karmic consequences for the one doing the paath if one does them for someone else? I know that things like sharda pooran sadhanas can sometimes bring out karmas to burn them out if they are done for oneself, but would the same thing happen if they were done for someone else? Would the other person experience some sort of karmic consequence?
