This is a really moving article:

But Im sure many fools who waste their time arguing over AKJ, Taksal, Nihung Maryada or that only an Amrit-dhari can obtain savlation (Mukti) just wont be able to see the bigger picture.

Why do we waste our lives judging others??

Open your eyes people !

Veer ji,

We are not wasting the lives but gettin the truth out from the both parties. This is an discussion forum sometimes people debate, sometimes people discusss.

Remember We are One but we are not same (Stole from lalleshvari vocob  )

I m sure every sikhs on this forum know whats the main aim of an sikh. I hope they know.

"Eho tari variii aa gobind millan di" (SGGS)

Oh people who think its khalistan... hehhe.. No. Buts main aim is to merge with vaheguroo and go to "Sachkhand" , "Baihikhunt"

Dear Brother

I would never think of attacking those who aim to seek the truth. I deserve a place at these people's feet cuz they are far greater sikhs than I am. Nor do I doubt that forums like these are brilliant learning zones for the people who just want to know the answers to genuine questions. But its upsetting to see countless young people (amrith-dharis and non-amrit-dharis) who are already so steadfast in their views that "open-mindedness" and "acceptance" are nothing but a theoretical concepts to them.

Guruji Says:

The gift I seek is the dust of the feet of the Saints; if I were to obtain it, I would apply it to my forehead.

Renounce false greed, and meditate single-mindedly on the unseen Lord.

As are the actions we commit, so are the rewards we receive.

If it is so pre-ordained, then one obtains the dust of the feet of the Saints.

But through small-mindedness, we forfeit the merits of selfless service. ||10||

How many times have the discussions on Meat, Raag Mala, Keski been played out, yet most people are none the wiser. We spend ages trying to convince others that our way is the "right way". As you so rightly quoted...

Remember We are One but we are not same (Stole from lalleshvari vocob )

God has created us all differently in his own light but yet we think that we must all follow the same path. We think that we are teaching others the right Maryada but really we are looking for some re-assurance that our way of following sikhi is right, and to boost our own egos we need others to follow it too. How many times did Guru Nanak tell people to stop their practices and follow his path?? He always got people to question their own path/rituals and told them to follow a path that was true to themselves and their inner-being.

Where is our sikhi when people are homeless on our streets?

Where is our sikhi when domestic violence in the UK has the highest occurrence in the Asian community?

Where is our sikhi when we buy our £100 nike trainers and only give small change when someone ask for charity at our door?

Sikhi is not only about the Sikh/Punjabi-Issues. We need to see the world as it is and stop wasting our time. If we know the answer to a question, then answer it and move on. Dont waste time trying to convince someone that your answer is correct. This is ego...

The Pandits read the Vedas, but they do not obtain the Lord's essence.

Intoxicated with Maya, they argue and debate.

The foolish intellectuals are forever in spiritual darkness.

The Gurmukhs understand, and sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||2||

The funny thing is that Im all talk and do all these bad-things myself. But hopefully one day i will learn....

Hope I have not offended anyone, cuz this was not my intention
