Sant Giani Amir Singh, head of the Jawaddi Taksal, presented the award to Bhai Sarabjit Singh ji Rangila (Durg wale). Bhai Sarbjit SIngh ‘Rangila’ of Durg is one of the finest exponents of Gurmat Sangeet today. He has been blessed with a beautiful voice which has been honed to perfection through years of Riyaz. The Gurmat Sangeet Awards initiative was first started by Baba Sucha Singh ji, Founder of Jawaddi Taksal and the very first Gurmat Sangeet Award was honoured to Shiromani Ragi Bhai Balbir Singh ji from Amritsar.
