Specimen of Sikh swordplay

Recommended Posts

When a firangi visitor to the Punjab requested for a specimen of Sikh alertness and swordplay,
Hari Singh Nalwa gave the following demonstration. The Sardar seated himself on a charpoy and asked that a crow be released under it. Such was the dexterity with which he wielded his sword that the crow, known for its swiftness and cunning, was unable to escape.
