I have read gurbachan singh bhindrawallay's reasoning. I am wondering, seriously, why we have recitation of prayer? it becomes confusing at times because we have singing, simran, paat...and then a whole slew of other practices. How are we supposed to give ourself to the guru, when we have all this to do? apart from japji, sodar (which I don't know is how long) and kirtan sohila, is there any other mention of any paat being done on a daily basis?
