Bhai Teghbir Singh Ji has been cleared. The three other youth involved in the accident suffer from broken legs to broken arms, but do not have any life threatning injuries. On his way to Edmonton Ustaad Bhai Charnjeet Singh Ji "Tukhee" was invovled in a serious car accident, in which he was pronounced dead at the scene. Although the details regarding the death and accident are still sketchy we will provide these as they come in. Over the course of the last year Bhai Charnjeet Singh Ji had become familiar to Sangat from both East and West, as they taught Gatka Classes first in Malton and then later at Gurmat Studies and Khalsa School in Vancouver and Surrey. They where also one of the head teachers in Mehta. Bhai Charnjeet Singh Ji was loved by all those who where close to him. His passion for Gatka and Shastar Vidya was contagious, as they had such a zest and knack for teaching. They themselves where known in India as they had won many Gatka competitions all across from Bombay to Amritsar. Along side teaching gatka Bhai Charnjeet Singh would also give Santhia and took part in leading Santhia classes as is the tradition amongst Damdami Taksal Vadhiyaarti's (Students). It is unfortunate that Bhai Charnjeet Singh Ji had to leave this temporary plane so soon as many feel that he had much more seva to do. Some say that the story has ended on his short lived life (Bhai Sahib was only 22 years of age), but with the same respect many new stories where started by Bhai Sahib. Like a true teacher Bhai Sahib acted like the seed from which hundreds of new flowers could sprout. His ways of teaching not only inspired but motivated those around him to learn. Bhai Charnjeet Singh's dream was to one day bring Gatka up into the main stream and bring it in as an olympic sport. We can only ask that Sangat that had the opportunity to do darshan to share there stories of Bhai Sahib with the rest of the sangat. A sehaj Paht will be held for Bhai Sahib at Malton Gurdhwara in the coming week. We also do benti for sangat to do Ardass for the Chardi Kalaa of the other Singh tey Singhnia involved in the car accident. Saadh Sangat Jee, By the hukam of Akaal Purakh, due to a car accident that occured while the Baba Deep Singh Gatka Akhara (Guru Nanak Academy) was travelling to show the Guru's beautiful shaster vidiya and do vichar and keertan of the Guru's beautiful bani in Calgary, Some of the Guru's beautiful Gursikhs have left this earth. Bhai Charanjit Singh Jee, a very Chardee Kalaa Gursikh, instructor of the Baba Deep Singh Gatka Akhara in Mehta (Punjab), Toronto (Ontario) and Surrey (BC), has passed away around amrit vela Friday. and Bhai Parminder Singh Jee, a very Chardee Kalaa Gursikh, founder of the Gurmat Studies Foundation and founder of the Guru Nanak Academy (Surrey, BC) has passed away around amrit vela Saturday. Bibi Rena Kaur Jee, a very Chardee Kalaa Gursikh, a very talented student in the Baba Deep Singh Gatka Akhara and young Singhnee of only 17 years was pronounced brain-dead early Saturday morning and according to doctors would physically live for a few more hours only. There were 8 passengers in the vehicle. The other 5 students, some had serious injuries and some had minor injuries. Those 5 have been released from the hospital. Please, with your full heart, do ardaas for these Gursikhs. This is a very difficult time for the Panth. These were extraordinary Gursikhs who changed so many lives for the better, with the Guru's kirpa. They were very committed to their seva in their sangat, and were always a leading example of determination and dedication. For sangat's information, a Sri Akhand Paath Sahib has been started at Khalsa Primary School on 124 St and 72nd Ave (across from Khalsa School). Sevadars and sangat from Guru Nanak Academy will be at this program. A second Sri Akhand Paath Sahib has been started at Gurdwara Sahib Dasmesh Darbar on 128 St and 88 Ave. A third paath/simran program has been started at Gurdwara Sahib Amrit Parkash on 123A St and 80 Ave. A fourth simran/keertan program has been started at Gurdwara Sahib Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Sikh Society on 88 Ave near 144 St. There will be a keertan program from 4:00pm to 7:30pm tonight. A fifth simran/keertan program is being held tonight beginning at 5:30pm at a sangatee's house in Burnaby, for directions visit www.harjas.com. There will be many more programs without a doubt - these were panth rattans that Guru jee has put back into his treasure chest. All sangat please attend these programs.
