I have been looking through some of my press cuttings from 1984 and I found this "Garland" cartoon from the Telegraph

While it is not a positive depiction - recalling the "Sikh Mutiny" after the attack on Harmandir Sahib - It must be remembered that all history is subjective - and the depiction can be read in a number of ways.

I remember at the time the papers and TV were full of 'Sandhurst' types drawing parallels with this 'Mutiny' and 1857

It is a very interesting cartoon - please post your views

singh wicked seva u doing putting up all those pics and info on 1984, most of us where not able to see this stuff. would be good to have a website with all the newspaper articles from 1984.
