The Chakardar Tabla & Vocal Music Summer School - a great opportunity to live and breathe tabla and music for five days in great surroundings with some of the most learned tabla artists the world has produced. The Chakardar Tabla summer school is not only a great learning experience, it is also great fun and has an enduring impact on all those who attend. Come and learn tabla from the renowned tabla master and teacher Pandit Shankar Ghosh. Get taleem on a one to one basis; get group tuition in methodology, theory and practice from Bikram Ghosh and Harkirat Singh. Training sessions for UK & Europe based teachers also planned. For Vocal music, we have the renowned Ragi Amarjit Singh teaching Classical Gurbani Sangeet assisted by his talented daughter, Gurpreet Kaur. These lessons will be on a one to one basis providing raag vidhya and voice training to suit each individual. This concentrated method of learning will have a huge beneficial impact on every student encouraging regular riaz and application. During the stay, early morning kirtan sessions can be held to practice and enhance both vocal skills and tabla accompaniment.
