The 2nd Chandi Charitar does end stating this is part of Sri Bachitar Natak Granth.

So the Sri Bachitar Natak Granth would include Sri Jaap Sahib, Akal Ustati, Bachitar Natak, Chandi Charitar Ukti Bilas, Chandi Charitar 2?

No the Bachitar Natak starts after the Akal Usatat with the famous Namaskaar Sri Kharag ko karou su hit chit laye verse. Jaap Sahib and Akal Ustat are independent writings not part of any larger compositions.

An excellent book for info on Sri Dasam Granth Sahib. It cleared up a lot for me on it's detailed chapter concerning "Chhands".

Go to page 57 of this pdf and it tells you what was included as part of the "Bachitar Natak Granth":

Bachitar Natak

Chaubis Avtar

Brahm Avtar

Rudar Avtar

Chandi Charitar 1 + 2

The author has also revealed that the change came after the Granth was "approved". I think the reference here is to 1897 when the Sodak Committee perused 32 Saroops and produced a standard or approved one.

Sri CharitroPakhyan was always assumed to be the largest portion of the Granth at 44%. Chaubis Avtar by itself is 30% (according to pdf) so all together these writings that formed part of Bachittar Natak Granth may well have been as large as, if not larger than Sri CharitroPakhyan.

Read the whole of the PDF. It is very good.

@amardeep Have you read "The Granth of Guru Gobind Singh" by Kamalroop Singh and Gurinder Singh Mann?

There is a very interesting paragraph on page 27 which tells us that Jaap Sahib starts with Sri Akal Purakh ji de Prasadi Japu Patshahi 10" and ended with "Yudh Prabandh Granth" . The manuscript is dated 1688.

Do you know what the date is on Chandi Di Vaar?

here it is. It is not from Jaap Sahib as I had written but from "Kabit Asfotak" (I think) .
