Pheena Posted May 4, 2005 Report Share Posted May 4, 2005 You are correct that we can meditate on any name of God, but there is a difference between a Gurmantra and just a random name of God. Gurmantra in Sikhi is Waheguru, that name or any GurMantra in essence holds the energy and the experiences of the Master who bestowed it upon his/her deciples. You will get to a point where you will find the same amount of extacy in Raam as you would in Waheguru, you will find no difference.
