With Ram Nam, what Guru Jee wants to tell us, is, that the word Ram is used to describe the Creator, who is rameeya (permeated,omnipresent) hua in all and everywhere, that is why He is called Ram, thus obviously it does not refer to Sree Ram, the son of Dashrat and an incarnation of sree Vishnu Jee. And as Nam is all pervading, thus Nam is the Ram or the Creator Lord. So to conclude, Nam is Ram(the all pervading), or if preferred, Ram the creator is Nam(for those who can not grasp the idea of what Nam is in reality). Nam a creative power, a highest state of Consciousness. To this Nam, we call it Shabad also, Sachee Bani, Amrit Bani, Dhur kee Bani, Waheguru, Akal Purukh, Satnam, Aad Sach... Stay blessed. SSA

Brother, though the question you ask is about realized souls, but according to Gurmat, that much I can tell you that, it is seen felt and realized by the soul, but not by its own merits, but by the kirpa of Shabad Guru, who takes back, the surat dhun chela back to its Nijh Ghar, namely Sach Khand, the eternal abode of Waheguru Akal Purukh, for as we know the Bani says : Nanak, Nam jahaaz hae, jinee chareeya se utareeya paar. Nam/Shabad is the Highest Consciousness, of which the jeev atma is a particle, just as a drop is to the Ocean. The soul has factulties of seeing and hearing, beyond the mayavee realms, the soul having discarded all its perishable coverings, gains full consciousness of its true nature, and at all times in the company of Shabad Guru, it soars higher and higher, just as bullet shot from a gun, towards its source, its origin: Satnam. Or let´s say in this way, the child soul, in the company of father Shabad Guru, holding his father´s finger, walks, sees and listens everything , while returning back home, and there it merges and bceomes the Ocean, Father itself, for there where He is, only He exists. Pen Jee, Truth of Gurbani should be shared whenever, wherever needed. Just as the Sun gives it sunlight equally to all creatures, so if the bats prefer the darkness.... It is their problem, for the light is there for all. Similarly Gurmat/Gurbani is open there for the benefit of all, but, what can the poor jeeva do if accordingly to the laws of Nature, Waheguru has kept some particular jeevas stuck in the mayavee creation. I myself never condem anybody, if they are unaware of the Supreme Truth of Waheguru Akal Purukh. It is in nobody's hands to believe or not believe in Waheguru...He Himself is the one pulling the strings in one direction or in the other. Having said that, I would also add that, whosoever is on the path of Sikhee, is a sign of utter grace from His side, for which we should be deeply thankful with each breath. That's it. Stay blessed. Raj ji, Just some clarifications: It is not being a khalistani which takes u somewhere. No true sikh needs Sree Ram, Sree Krishan, nor any other gods, godesses, trinities, nothing of that stuff... We have only one goal, as Sree Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj states in the begining of SGGS, which is as follows: Ik Oankar : only 1 god, who is Satnam. He is met by the the jaap of Gurparsad, the holy name of Waheguru. Sikhee is an universal path of love and devotion to the Highest eternal Truth, irrespective of color, caste, creed/dharam/religion. As the Bani says: Sabna jeea ka Iko Daata. The intention of Sikhee is not to convert anyone, but just to transform from a dark and heavy sinner into a pure soul, in order to merge and become one without distinction, with the ultimate and changeless Highest consciousness, namely Waheguru Akal Purukh. SSA Pen Jee, Gurbani is Amrit, whenever I take a Hukumnama, I intend to sip each bachan from it, and try to understand what Guru Jee is trying to say in it. I prefer to tune my mind with the Bani rather than to find answers for myself, for Guru Jee knows what I need in that moment. If ever we need anything to ask Guru Jee, we should ask blessings in order to strengthen our faith and love for Waheguru's Lotus Feet, rest all is karmic account. Stay blessed. SSA.

Indeed a very good and complete answer by Jageera veer jee above. To this only that much I would add that let us be good human beings with our fellow beings, and keep Waheguru in our minds as goal. Each and every person has a chalked destiny by the wise Nature due to their own karmas which nobody can alter. So as Jageera says, be an example, without any pressure or force on her, that by itself will slowly and slowly impact her in a gentle and subtle way, that much only is in one's hands. SSA.

This quotation above reflects the job given to the different Avatars and deities for the maintenance of the Triloki creation and to re-establish morality/virtues whenever there is a downfall of it. That's it, nothing more nothing less. Their devotees enjoy the fruits or rewards of their faith and devotion towards them, yet remain as individual identities. What to say about their devotees, when even their spouses and other beings remain with forms, genders, etc. These avtars and prophets are a hindrance between the jeev atmas and Akal Purukh, for their role is to keep functioning the mayavee triloki creation. They themselves are unaware of the path of Nam bhakti, thus, they are very much stucked in the web spread by their mother Maya. On the other side, Guru Sahiban, Brahmgyanis, Gurmukhs, Bhagat Jan, come with the akhoot wealth of Nam/Shabad, through which They teach us how to board on the jahaaz of Nam, cross all the mayavee creations, reach Sach Khand, the region of everlasting Truth, and merge there in Waheguru, thus becoming one with Akal Purukh. This is the main difference between Gurmat and all other paths/philosophies/religions. I respect all avtars and prophets, but none are match to my beloved Waheguru Akal Purukh. While all others are just tiny stars in the dark infinite firmament, my Waheguru is the very huge Sun, the dispeller of all darkness/agyanta. Stay blessed. SSA.

Just Drop Once a Crow, holding on to a piece of meat was flying to find a place to sit & eat. However, an Eagle started chasing it. The crow was anxious and was flying higher and higher, yet the eagle was after the poor crow. Just then "Garuda" saw the plight and pain in the eyes of the crow. Garuda being the bird of wisdom spoke "Oh my friend!! That eagle is not after you to kill you!! It is after that piece of meat that you are holding in your beak. Do you get irritated fast by "others’ actions" it may be a friend, parents, children, a colleague, life partner... and get the fumes of "anger "? - Just Drop. Do you compare yourself with others.. in beauty, wealth, life style, marks, talent and appraisals and feel disturbed with such comparisons and negative emotions ? - Just Drop Just drop the burden And evolve & fly Higher.....
